Thanks for the review. I've been looking into DMR-style rifles recently and stumbled upon the SP10 on sniper's hide and reddit, where many people put it up there with JP, LMT, and KAC with regards to accuracy and overall performance. As someone who is coming from the AR platform, and isn't quite ready to go all the way on a bolt gun, I'm hoping this gun will be a good purchase in the coming weeks. I'll be placing my order this weekend, getting it for around $2400 after discounts, and anticipate it arriving before the end of the month.
Hi Nomad! Glad I could provide some information for your decision. I shot the SP10 in my first match and will be posting a video review shortly of that experience...Overall, I LOVED it! I had a serious jam (4 actually) my first stage, but I think that was me not loading into the rifle, I adjusted for more gas and no issues the rest of the day except my own stupidity regarding adjusting my DOPE, which I'll cover in that video. Thanks for watching my friend!
I ran a 6.5 gas gun for a season, one big lesson learned was to run the load slow, high 2600's with 140's were the ticket with H4350. Varget worked well with 130's too. Another must have for me was a brass catcher and you will not find a better one than tactical brass recovery. It always worked, never jammed or caused a malfunction nor did it get in the way. Also, sgt of arms makes arca rail forearms now should you or your viewers find yourselves in the market. Oh, lol, the JP silent captured spring is also a must have and really made that rifle sing, well worth it. Enjoy. I built from the ground up using a mega arms set, zev bought them out now but they had some great ambi receiver set that I still see from time to time pop up on Joe bobs outfitters.
Hi Niles! Man, thanks for the great feedback and recommendations! I agree that you have to run slower and I'm running about 2,610 with 4350 and seems to be working great so far. I have some additional tuning on the round to do and think I'll run this in a match in the Spring. I thought of building from scratch (I built my 3-gun AR from scratch), but just wanted to start with a platform already built. I do plan on making some changes in the future such as NB BCG, and that JP silent captured spring (good call out). I bought a cheap brass catcher, but if I really want a good one, as you say, you can't beat the TBR. It's funny that when we shoot matches, our squad has 2 fishing nets that do a great job of catching brass when held by a squad mate. Thanks for the great info and for watching my friend!
I added about 2 lbs of weight to my Oryx chassis on my PRS rifle using #12 lead shot and epoxy in the giant barrel channel that chassis has, worked great....
I shoot mostly bolt guns and have a hard time remembering to put the gas gun on safe between positions. Quantified performance runs a series of gas gun only matches. Check your local range
Hi Gummee! I was surprised how quickly I remembered to go to safe before movement in practice...Now, when that buzzer goes off, I'm sure all that will go out the window! I looked into QP matches, but they don't run any in Texas and I'm staying home this year...Looks like a lot of fun though! Thanks for watching my friend!
Great video! I'm a sucker for a good gas gun. My new 6mm creedmoor is ready for a range trip to get her sighted in. I love using my OSS Helix suppressor with my gas guns. Take a look at the Rusty nuts brass catcher. I think you'll like it.
Hi GMG! Yeah, I'm loving this thing so far and probably will use it in a Spring match once I get it all broken in. I'll look at Rusty nuts brass catcher for sure and thanks for watching my friend!
I have a 13.9 adm and really want an ar10 from them to but really haven't seen any reviews where those are tack drivers. For a 3k plus gun you'd think you be getting some damn good accuracy out of it
I shot with a good shooter who was using a DD gas gun...It jammed on 5 out of 8 stages. Now, with that said, I know he had upgraded a number of components like the BCG, recoil spring and buffer. I shot my SP10 this past weekend and had no issues all 8 stages...Ran like a champ without any BCG, spring or buffer changes. That is one reason I went with an "out of the box" setup. I think if you stuck with the out of box DD, and make some minor mods like I did (gas block, trigger) you'd probably be fine.
Hi Boats! Yep, great rifle from what I've seen and read, just out of my price range of ~2,500 or so. Sorry I didn't add it to the comparison list, but there are so many options out there I just wanted to keep it basic. Thanks for watching my friend!
Hi MountainSpider! Yeah, I'm way beyond getting onto a podium, so I'm just having fun now and picking up some Senior trophies once in a while. Top 25 overall is my goal for the local match this year, given that we have some of the best shooters in the country shooting it every month. It's like golf right? I get a new driver just to have one, knowing I'll never make the PGA Tour! Thanks for watching my friend!

Were you able to order right off there website or call them? I see there website says they aren’t doing orders
@@jakeruchti1 I ordered through EuroOptic.com and because I'm a PRS member, I got 15% off.
Thank you so much for making this video.
Thanks Jake! I'm loving this thing so far and shooting it in a match early February. Thanks for watching my friend!

Did you try H4350 with the 130s I’m not wanting to “waste” my varget😂

@@dustincook7044 both worked well, varget was just a better match to my gas system and bolt carrier set up at the time.

Hi Michael! I've heard of doing that and it sounds like it would also help with dampening, which is nice. Thanks for watching my friend!

@@The4GunGuy Yes sir! Love your videos. Keep em coming!
ADM also sells a fully ambi AR-10 Builder Kit and rifles.

Play with your buffer weight to help those failures to eject.
Very cool
Thanks CJ!
Anyone's opinion on this vs the Daniel Defense DD5 line?

The gun should be 10.5lbs and a 3lbs timney. Missing a muzzle break too? What’s going on with this rifle?
i think the version on euro optic is different. The only one i saw that said it included the brake in the description was the 22" 6.5 creed in ODG
what's the diameter of the gas block journal?
Hi ForceRecon! It's a standard 0.75" diameter.
why not the Geissele MRGG?

It will be fun but never gonna happen on the winners podium.
Maybe he doesn't care about being on the podium?

I race dirt bikes off road but can care less about the podium.. I race to keep my auto insurance down and my driving record clean! Lol..
