Wow you deserve some kind of award for this technique!!!
So cool! I love them all, what a great way to get a colourful or marbled effect but with delicious buttercream instead of fondant. Thanks for sharing ❤
Those are *gorgeous*!!! How on earth did you discover this technique?? I'm stunned! This would be the *perfect* technique to use on cakes for my daughter, who, for some crazy reason, hates frosting! (I know! I don't get it either! 😉) Thank you so, so much for teaching this to us! I can't wait to see the other half of this video next week! 💖

Wow so beautiful and cool 😊
Stunning!

Curious…after filling in holes, did you chill again or scrape right away (wondering if that would have smeared over finished areas)?
Scraped right away! It does smear over the whole cake with the first scrape but as you keep scraping, the piping underneath stays firm since it's still cold but the buttercream you've just spread on will come off bit by bit with each scrape, leaving the smooth cross-section of the piped buttercream visible with all of the indents filled in.
very well done! keep up the good work
Love this!!!💕
Thank you!
thankyou very much very nice indeed
thiis is really cool
Thank you!!
Interesting technique. Thank you. What do you do with the frosting you’ve scraped off the cake?
I use it to fill in the indents and usually pipe a border around the bottom of the cake. If there is any still leftover I put it in a ziplock bag in the freezer for another cake 😊
Waaaawuuuu sweet heart looks great
Does this work only with American buttercream or can we use meringue as well?
Can I do this technique with whipped cream
I am really trying to find out what size Center dowel to use for pound cake 3 tiers? I know how long I wanted just not sure about the diameter of the Dowel 😢 1/4,3/8,5/16??? I have never made a tier cake can somebody please help me please and thank you
Will try using just a hairdryer- safer and more accessible for home bakers
Great idea!
adventures in yum's tie dye cake
If I know the size I plan on ordering from Amazon
Would this work with a meringue buttercream? Or does it have to be ABC?
Can we do in whipping icing
Awesome idea, but it will not work for whipping cream which is generally used in India, much more than buttercream!😢
