I have just taken up cake making at the age of sixty. I have never even baked a simple sponge before ever so it’s a whole new world. I bought a kitchenaid food mixer a week ago and I’m eager to get started. Your tips and tricks and advice are excellent. Thank you so much.
Hi Emily I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I have to say I love them. You have helped me improve my buttercream skills so much and I am now well and truly hooked Thank you x
You are absolutely amazing!!!!! I am a great fan of you. You are so talented!!!!!! I love decorating cakes and you give me great ideas. Thank you so much. I watch your chanell from Greece and I am a grand mother of 4 lovely little ones.
I love this, thank u so much...How about in hot climate conditions where freezing is not very feasible as it tends to thaw fast? I am talking in respect to the stencil
These are AMAZING tips. The only thing I’d recommend is before sticking the fake flowers directly in the cake make sure you put floral tape over those stems so the plastic stem doesn’t contaminate the cake. ❤️
6:58 I have not done any cake decorating. However, this video the decorating was amazing and I can see with practice I will be able to do some nice designs.
Hi! In this video the cake is 6" wide with 3 layers of cake. I show how to assemble and frost this cake in this video: ua-cam.com/video/qVIstqwW2_I/v-deo.html
You already know I love all your techniques but my favorite on this video is when you pipe over the stencil. I was just wondering do you have to wrap the artificial flowers with floral tape like you do with fresh flowers? Thank you for sharing and as always keep on caking.
Great question! No, you don't have to wrap them because unlike really flowers, they won't leak fluids into the cake. You can just wash them with hot soapy water and let them dry before pushing them in
Thanks so much 😍😍 I have a question. How do you keep a frosted cake from "melting". My cakes melt and get all those water drops when I bring them out of the fridge. How do I prevent that from happening?
When you take a cake out of the fridge and move it into a hot room you will get condensation from the change in temperature. You can use air conditioning to reduce the temperature change or if that's not possible you can gently press a paper towel against the cake to absorb the moisture
Hey I m new on your channel Is your cake is covered with fondant Over it you used stencil and spread buttercream Can I follow same process on Whip cream cake....
Hi! I use buttercream frosting, which gets very firm when it sets after a few hours in the fridge so you can stencil on it the same way you can with fondant. Whipped cream doesn't get firm when it sets so the stencil would peel the frosting off. You could try freezing the cake and then applying a stencil if you want to use whipped cream as frosting, but I haven't tried this myself

It is much easier on your wrist if you twist the bag further down only holding a palmful of icing at a time
