When the Yaksha King said “their delight lies in our submission” he meant that Heaven’s delight lies in his submission, because he’s trying to get revenge against Heaven for killing his kind.
For the cutscene, before Wukong joined Bajie and the monk in their Journey to the West, him and the bull were very close friends to the point they called themselves brothers. The cutscene (where Wukong is betraying him) is during the journey after they take his wife's fan to put out the flames from a mountain. The cutscene implies that Wukong did all of this so maybe they would leave the bull king and his family alone.
There's a lot of comments but if u see this, basically: 1. Yin Tiger gets his full charge if u transform while at full focus points. 2. Your cloudstep takes up mana while invisible so you're either running out of mana or the clone has died if u are out of it without warning. 3. You can dodge the axe shockwave 4. Your old gourd when at 9 heals can be upgraded to ten by the gourd guy in chapter 5 with the fire
@@NotPolarEX the axe shockwave is when erlang lands on the ground, he does 2 attacks, one being him falling and the other being the shockwave basically just dodge into his shockwave, if you dodge sideways or backwards it'll still hit you because of the shockwave
Cloudstep doesn't drain mana while invisible no? I played through the game twice and never had that problem, my guess is he put zero skill point in cloudstep so it doesn't last and the clone doesn't have much health
Azure Dust helped me beat the wind boss in chapter 2 and also against Red Boy quite a bit. It is a tank summon so your goal is to get hit and easily use your big R2+square
@@nickriver844fr but its better than just going all in with spells, because imobilize only works when he has no shield and ring of fire is great, but clones are only good for one shots and if ur not or ng+ u wont have the ressurect spell

Just dodge his first attack in his bird form, and then you can keep your transformation. You can also come back once you are stronger after completing most of chapter 6.
After pressing the square, pressing the triangle in the moment before the enemy attacks you will trigger the skill effect and make you invincible for a while. It is like a counterattack. Timing stuff.
For those that dont know how to beat erlang, it is IMPERATIVE that you get the supreme gourd(10 total drinks that restore 35 percent health) with the sunset of the nine skies brew(boosts qi with each drink) and the plantain fan(can tear up erlangs shield and stun lock him). You are screwed without them. Trust me I know lol. Make sure that you have things that boost your qi because that plantain fan is going to be your best friend to tear up his shield bar.
Bro wtf ?! In the 342 times I fought Erlang never once have I seen 2nd phase activate twice I swear the game answers to the last 2 bosses it’s like you will not win until they decide they’ve seen enough literally molding you into the worrier they envision lol
A few tips brotha! 1) I know you love the pillar stance but the thrust stance combined with ring of fire is essential for Erlang. 2)Take full advantage of whatever elixir’s you have in this fight, the damage reduction, crit chance and damage go a long way 3) max out your gourd and utilize the drink that restores Qi 4) Celestial locus seeds, Laurel buds and bee mountain stone are clutch for the fight as well. Best of luck!
Bro, quick tips for you to beat him: First of all: You HAVE to equip the Sunset of the Nine Skies on you gourd so you can replenish your Qi (so you can use the Plantain more times during the fight to remove his shield) Second: Instead of the big head baby, use the Apramana Bat one so you can freeze him. When he`s frozen, just spin your staff on him for as long as you can (that also replenishes your Qi) When he goes up on the sky to throw his axe: Dodge the axe and the keep rolling back as far as you can to avoid the field damage (yes, it`s dodgeable) Transformations DO work on this fight, you just can`t get hit by the hawk, and I recommend the Red Tides, it staggers him A LOT and also inflicts scorch damage. This boss gave me a SUPER HARD time before I did all that, but after it, it was WAY easier cause you can use the plantain to remove his shield instantly on every phase. Looking forward to your next attempts. Cheers dawg
One more thing: When he goes up in the sky to throw that shitload of knives at you, you can spin your staff to block the incoming damage WHILE replenishing your Qi too. Just be careful at the end of the knife-throwing act cause he will instantly charge at you very quickly, so you gotta dodge that.
17:41 you can continue your light attack string after performing a spirit skill. In this case you were on the fourth attack of your light attack string so if you were to spam square after using the headbutt you could’ve followed up with your light attack combo finisher.
Erlang was a pain but he still has weaknesses. If you use the stone character transformation he somehow lets you hit him repeatedly and you want to use ring of fire to get health back and charge focus points

Brother yellow loong is the strongest transformation just do 3 focus on him and after that you will have 3 jumps on him with HUUUUGE DAMAGE and i mean Huuuuuge damage honestly is insane

You need to hit triangle the moment before an enemy attack hits you. Think of it like a parry. Like try square-square-square-triangle, or square-square-square-triangle.
@@NotPolarEX Good luck. It’s pretty satisfying if you can pull it off, but it takes some getting used to for sure. Smash Stance and Thrust Stance use the same mechanic. You see a red effect in those stances if the enemy hits you at the right time.
I thought the fighting and stories were fantastic, but some bosses had MAJOR hitbox issues. Some had major BS abilities like yellowbrow taking half your health like 2 or 3 times during cut scenes. Overly aggressive bosses like scorpionlord and emerald armed mantis. Bosses that have instant attacks like non able etc.
Bruh you have to counter them as yellow loong to make that focus. You have to wait for them yo hit you so you can parry. Then youll get one charge. Make up 3 charges like that and then just press triangle once. And watch it happen!
@@NotPolarEX I'm an ass too but here's what I've learnt. Just keep hitting square till they hit you. Then just before their hit lands, press triangle. It's the same as the perfect dodge mechanism. No matter where you are with the combo just press triangle during the combo. It's doesn't have to be square twice specifically or thrice specifically. Just hit triangle as soon as you see a hit coming just like you dodge before a hit lands. You can parry like that in normal wukong form too. Just hit triangle mid combo right before getting hit.

1. You gotta perfect dodge with yellow long to build up his focus points then he does insane damage 2. You must not have your shadow clones upgraded all the way cause they’re not doing any spells 3. I’m still on my 200th try with Erlang and bout to quit lol idk how tf to beat bro 😭
also for erlang get mirage pills, azure dust tranformation and the plantain fan. when u enter the fight he will jump at you, once hes about to attack, tranform, he wont attack you I THINK in azure dust, and it can break his shield don properly. his second shield u can use the plantain fan to break his shield entirely. then while the fan is going use mirage pills to regain ur transformation.
Alright so for erlang there really isnt much i can tell you besides get outta there and go progress chapter 6 you are very poorly equipped to fight him at the moment. Next avoid using spells when he has his shield because he will be more likely to counter you but after breaking it he wont counter spells. You can use transformations but you need to dodge the first attack he does when he transforms if you dodge it he will revert and you can use yin tiger freely. And last every 1/4 of health he will enter another “phase” which will regen the shield so my advice is to either use spell binder or fight with as little magic as possible and when you get to the last 1/4 of health burst him down with everything
you need alot of learning , just relax before erlang, once you learn what you are missing you'll beat suddenly beat him, it was magically, i few recommendations that you lack is stop spam dogging , and only dodge when he start an attack learn to stop wasting your mana on useless things such as pluck on many and immobilize, save your mana on those things that actually destroy him (mana only for transformations that freeze or damage and cloud step) learn how to destroy his shield effectively (fan vessel) learn what charges the vessel and alteration (hint its attack where you block projectile) use the fan only when he charge his shield use medicine that fills your hp 100% when your gourd is empty learn how to trigger invincible attacks on either smash stance or thrust stance only learn to reset your skills to only upgrade what you are using , meaning you take all points from pluck of many and immobilize
I did chapter 3 and got to chapter 4 but missed ALLLL of this. Everything in this video i skipped right past. But i restarted the game and am in chapter 3 again

Okay so that last cart took me 5 tries for no reason. I beat so many hard bosses and I always die to the easiest bosses. Also Erlang... holy shit I couldn't beat him so I had just started ngl plus. I know he go be stronger but ima be 10x stronger to beat HIS ASS.
3:44 whoever told you that sht needs to stop commenting. You basically do it like how you do the "See through" or a counter. Set it up with a light attack and then a heavy attack. You gotta time it enough so when you do a light attack, you can do a heavy attack the same time they do an attack. That heavy and enemy attack at the same time is what you're looking for.
This game is not terrible. I just beat erlang after three days. You can use the fan to break erlang's shield. There are items that help with specific bosses. If I got through this game anyone can.
There is an Asian girl that explains all the endings beautifully chapter 5 was confusing the shit out of me and I couldn’t get it out of my head so I searched it up
the game has flaws, but i wont call it trash…it just need to have some serious updates to the UI, combat mechanics & combat gameplay & the camera system…i could go on
erlang was retively easy, he took me around only 12 trys which compared to whiteclad noble in my first playthrough is crazy cuz i got over 30 deaths on noble 😂
resolute strike+skyfall strike for phase 1, don't use spells for phase 2 nor the fan, use azure dust for phase 2, for phase 3 clones+fan. It became a lot easier for me this way. Also golden armour does a lot here
Dude. You call loong ass but you’re not even using your heavy attacks 😂. I SUCK at these harder games and even I beat the cart guy first try. Erlang cost me 10 years in the 3 days it took me to beat him
God of War 1-3 aren't much like Black Myth Wukong those are more like hack and slash without depth to the combat, God of War 2018 is where the combat starts to feel nice.

Just move slightly to the left of the axe and jump. Then run up on him and hit him heavy. One of the few free hits you can get on erlang.

The worse transformation is actually the most effective against him. Azure Dust. He’s a life saver during this fight.

I didn't bother with Azure Dust and used Yellow Loong against Erlang. It worked out for me.

if you use immobilized when Erlang had that white bar his attack would have lightning and you would take so much dmg from that

Bruh you have to counter them as yellow loong to make that focus. You have to wait for them yo hit you so you can parry. Then youll get one charge. Make up 3 charges like that and then just press triangle once. And watch it happen!

@@NotPolarEX I'm an ass too but here's what I've learnt. Just keep hitting square till they hit you. Then just before their hit lands, press triangle. It's the same as the perfect dodge mechanism. No matter where you are with the combo just press triangle during the combo. It's doesn't have to be square twice specifically or thrice specifically. Just hit triangle as soon as you see a hit coming just like you dodge before a hit lands. You can parry like that in normal wukong form too. Just hit triangle mid combo right before getting hit.

1. You gotta perfect dodge with yellow long to build up his focus points then he does insane damage
2. You must not have your shadow clones upgraded all the way cause they’re not doing any spells

also for erlang get mirage pills, azure dust tranformation and the plantain fan. when u enter the fight he will jump at you, once hes about to attack, tranform, he wont attack you I THINK in azure dust, and it can break his shield don properly. his second shield u can use the plantain fan to break his shield entirely. then while the fan is going use mirage pills to regain ur transformation.

Alright so for erlang there really isnt much i can tell you besides get outta there and go progress chapter 6 you are very poorly equipped to fight him at the moment. Next avoid using spells when he has his shield because he will be more likely to counter you but after breaking it he wont counter spells. You can use transformations but you need to dodge the first attack he does when he transforms if you dodge it he will revert and you can use yin tiger freely. And last every 1/4 of health he will enter another “phase” which will regen the shield so my advice is to either use spell binder or fight with as little magic as possible and when you get to the last 1/4 of health burst him down with everything

you need alot of learning , just relax before erlang, once you learn what you are missing you'll beat suddenly beat him, it was magically, i few recommendations that you lack is
stop spam dogging , and only dodge when he start an attack
learn to stop wasting your mana on useless things such as pluck on many and immobilize, save your mana on those things that actually destroy him (mana only for transformations that freeze or damage and cloud step)
learn how to destroy his shield effectively (fan vessel)
learn what charges the vessel and alteration (hint its attack where you block projectile)
use the fan only when he charge his shield
use medicine that fills your hp 100% when your gourd is empty
learn how to trigger invincible attacks on either smash stance or thrust stance only
learn to reset your skills to only upgrade what you are using , meaning you take all points from pluck of many and immobilize

Okay so that last cart took me 5 tries for no reason. I beat so many hard bosses and I always die to the easiest bosses. Also Erlang... holy shit I couldn't beat him so I had just started ngl plus. I know he go be stronger but ima be 10x stronger to beat HIS ASS.

3:44 whoever told you that sht needs to stop commenting. You basically do it like how you do the "See through" or a counter. Set it up with a light attack and then a heavy attack. You gotta time it enough so when you do a light attack, you can do a heavy attack the same time they do an attack. That heavy and enemy attack at the same time is what you're looking for.

This game is not terrible. I just beat erlang after three days. You can use the fan to break erlang's shield. There are items that help with specific bosses. If I got through this game anyone can.

resolute strike+skyfall strike for phase 1, don't use spells for phase 2 nor the fan, use azure dust for phase 2, for phase 3 clones+fan. It became a lot easier for me this way. Also golden armour does a lot here
