Wow! I can see many great parallels to training and jumping horses.

I am lucky to have found a trainer who does a lot of your methods. My dog Olive is having so much fun. If she makes a mistake I know it’s my fault. She just wants to understand what I am asking her to do. The joy in her eyes when we both do a practice run without any errors is priceless. Agility really strengthened our bond and increased her confidence.

Ironically, for me, the fascinating bit *IS* how to get my dog between all the different obstacles. I know he likes to jump and do obstacles, that's not the hard part!

Hi Susan, what is the bare minimum of instruction to pup-sitters? My neffew has decided to get married abroad so now I need to go away for a long weekend just two months after I get my new puppy... My friend and her 6 year old son will live in my house during that time. I'm already watching most of your videos on UA-cam and the recallers program so I'm going "all in" preparing for training my puppy. But I cannot expect her and her son to be the same. How do I instruct my house sitters without overwhelming them? I'm trying to trust that whatever they do, they cannot succeed in 'spoiling my dog forever' but I find it difficult to let go.

Susan I love your ideas, I’m in H360 and AN, But….. I do not have the memory to utilise the numerous variations of verbal cues you use. Watching this vis video frustrates me and makes me feel inadequate. I am mentally unable to live up to your standards. Should I just give up, my dog seems to enjoy “ muddling” through. Isn’t that what it’s about, just fun?
