City Tech Dean's Message - 08.14.2020

Hello City Tech Family,
If we haven’t met before, I am Dr. Shields, Interim Dean of the School of Technology & Design at City Tech.
First, I would like to welcome all our new students, faculty and staff who will be joining us in the fall. We are super excited to have you, and to our returning students, faculty and staff - welcome back!
I would like to share some information and resources with you as you get prepared for the semester.
As of August 6th, all courses (with a few exceptions) have been converted to fully online.
For our new students, we recently launched the New Student Connection which is an online orientation to remote learning at City Tech.

For the entire College community, we now have Virtual City Tech.

As we move to a fully online fall, I know there will be some bumps in the road, but as long as we travel together - it will be a great semester!

Hello Gianfranco, what class number do you mean? The virtual meeting information (ex: Zoom, Collaborate, etc?)

Hello EMK, while the situation is still unfolding, it is likely that the spring will also offer mostly if not all online courses. As soon as we program the spring classes, we will send out communications through email, text and video.

Hi i’m a freshman, how can i get my id number?

Hello Omar, your ID number is your EMPLID which is an 8 digit number. This is on the middle of the main screen in CUNYFirst in the Student Center. You have to claim your CUNYFirst account to get this number.
