My gf gifted me this fragrance for Christmas, and since then, I started watching Gents Scents to become more educated on fragrances. Sauvage EDP is amazing and so versatile!
You are probably right, but I kind of see sauvage as just a compliment perfume, not much more I kind of see Bleu as the steady incline as it gets better and many see it’s depth But still both really great
I totally agree with your opinion. I feel that with the 2020 batch, EDT has become much weaker and the gap has widened even more, while EDP remains strong, fresher and even easier to wear.
EDP is stunning, that sweet nutmeg vanilla dancing off the spicy blue notes. More refined sweeter Sauvage for the winter. In fact, it's probably how the brash loud original should have been made. EDP far more balanced.
I legit never have smelled vanilla or nutmeg in mine. A hint of mapper maybe. But mostly, it just give a really clean shower gel effect. Love it tho. Been rocking it way more than my elixir lately, although I wore elixir today..
The edp and parfum version are trying too hard to be something they aren't to my nose. If I want class or maturity in a scent, the Sauvage dna is the last place I'd look for it.
I feel like the edp succeeds in being a classier version of the edt. It's still too fresh to be considered a classy fragrance, so I agree with you in that sense. The parfum could've pulled it off tho, if the performance wasn't horrible.
the dry down on this is something special. I prefer the EDT opening, but the EDP after about an hour or two comes alive. I get a prominent vanilla creaminess that makes it a bit more seductive while maintaining that freshness.
My favorite fragrance of all time. Most complimented by a mile. As long as you don’t go to spray happy it’s almost impossible not to like this scent. ( outside of the fragrance comm of course lol )
@@ryanlunzen9794 From my experience Sauvage is not all that common. Sure it's popular but I feel the fragrance community's perception of Sauvage's popularity is overblown. I still smell Le Male and Acqua Di Gio way more often than Sauvage over the past 4 years.

This one most definitely has the most Lavender in it. The star anise and nutmeg make it the most masculine. Once I smelled the parfum I thought it was an amped up version of the EDP. Which it is to an extent but the EDP probably projects more. Got rid of it but decided it was actually my favorite and made a trade to get it back. The most versatile and masculine of the line.
I’ll check it out when I run out of my EDT. I love it. Compliments all day! Everyone may have worn it back then, but I don’t know anyone that wears this.
The EDP is beautiful, more versatile tbh, I have worn it in college without worrying about nuking the entire classroom, 1 spray behind each ear. I've noticed girls like to get closer to me when I wear this haha, it's epic. I have the edt also, I use that if I'm outdoors or if I'm in a large place, like a supermarket

I am wanting to sample the Parfum though.
The parfum is closer to the edp with a more mature, darker smell and more leather and vanilla notes. It also lasts a little longer and in my experience actually projects more.
I see that Gucci Envy in the back. It was the first cologne I've ever brought in 1998. I got it from Kmart (lol) for 35 dollars. I brought about 3 bottles over the years until I moved on. I was really excited to try Dior Sauvage Eau de Parfum after seeing so many positive reviews on social media, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. The scent is pleasant at first, but it lacks longevity. Within just a couple of hours, the fragrance fades away completely, leaving no trace behind. For a premium brand like Dior, I expected a much longer-lasting performance, especially considering the price point. Sauvage edp is said to be reformulated in 2019. Does anyone know the detailed information and what month it changed? I have 2020 september batch edp and its performance is very poor...
Out of my 60 bottle collection Sauvage EDP reins the king, its a classic now and will be in 20 yrs, i have 2 x 200ml bottles plus some left in a 100ml bottle, it just smells clean fresh and you get noticed, I love it, then I went and got Elixir and BOOM what a master piece, the people bagging it out prob dont have it, but im wearing it today and it just makes me feek confident, I don't like aggresive fragrance hence the edp is as he stated smoother, more laid back. If i had to throw out every fragrance and keep 1 it would be Sauvage edp. Its just a classic will be interesting what Dior do with this line but I think if they were smart they would leave things how they are, with Elixir being its own beast , there is no need to touch it. But im set for a few years and i just love it winter, summer it doesn't matter its a legend.
Correct. Some reviewers talk about this like it’s a totally different scent. It’s still a loud, synthetic ambroxan and pepper scent. Anything that’s “smoother” or “more elegant” is only in relation to the EDT not other scents.
Wow gents. I got me the EDT version I must say for some reason I find the EDP that i smelled on testers so much more sensual than the EDT. The EDT is super strong and harsh to the nose or am I just a bit too picky
I don’t get it. Maybe I got a bad copy or something but I really think Sauvage EDT is bad. It’s headache giving, too powerful and just too synthetic. Not for me. Gonna sell my bottle asap unfortunately.
I don't care what anyone says! Sauvage EDP is my baby for life! The Parfum is a close second. Sauvage gets a bad rap because of the EDT and I have to agree. I just dont care for it at all because its so obnoxious and metallic.
My batch code is 1A01 and honestly im not impressed, i coudnt smell it at all when i started wearing it which was a huge disappointment, can somewhat smell it now a few months later and the smell itself wasnt mind blowing at all it just smell like a strong perfume. Idk man
Spot on with your rant about how people have such a hard time appreciating what they have in front of them, and 15 years from now they are wishing they knew what they had and appreciated so much more. Never fails..."You never know what you have until it's gone"
Spray savauge edt and luna rosa carbon on each hand and without telling anyone what they're smelling, I guarantee 8/10 people will choose carbon. Its wayyy nicer than savauge and that's a biased opinion cause although I own both, i dont wear either of them lol
another down to earth job, well done. you should consider doing one on the older discontinued frags, ones i used to wear when you were still into baby powder lol. i remember some ysl offerings being absolutely beastly, and i'm not talking kouros. you are right about one thing, there are a lot of slackers out there. performance is paramount, and what's up with some of these atomizers...nautica comes to mind, as does bvlgari maninblack. looking forward to your next vlog.
I was going back and forth on whether to get the EDP or the parfum. I really like the parfum version - but I wanted a more fresher “crisp” sent, but not as loud and metallic as the EDT - so I went with the EDP. To me there is not much difference between the EDP and Parfum. The EDP is a bit (lighter) which I prefer overall
I’m a woman who has been wearing the Sauvage EDP for about a month now. I have been told by men and women that I smell lovely lol. Definitely keeping as my signature fragrance.
@@symboIiq lol... All fragrances are unisex. Brands tend to promote it as either a male or women's (depending on the notes) but anyone can wear what they want. You'd be surprise how many women wear men's fragrances. Not all of us want to smell like candy or pretty flowers.
People said the same about BDC lol. I own both, but BDC Parfum is far more expensive and, imo, a bit too fancy to some casual ocasions when sauvage would fit better.
I had a 100ml of the EDT and a sample of the EDP and I found myself preferring the EDP every time. I actually just got a bottle of the EDP so this is perfect lol
A new Sauvage flanker comes up on google search even though the link does not work. “Sauvage Elixir is an extraordinarily concentrated fragrance steeped in the emblematic freshness of Sauvage with a heady heart of Spice…”
I was gifted the EDP version and to me it smells like an old lady perfume.. Its pretty potent and off putting, I did get a few complements on it the few times I tried to wear it but If I cant stand it then I'm not wearing it for the sake of complements. Kind of smells like Poison the ladies perfume, yuk.

Sorry but i everytime i smell it, i feel like im in a feuneral parlor or reminds me of those 80s 90s woman spray net scents. Rather go ysl edp than this
I just picked up the Elixir for the winter season an love it. I am going to pick up the EDP closer to spring time. I am almost 40 so think the EDP will suite me better than the EDT.
First time I used it I sprayed four sprays and 20 minutes later went into the store. I choked out the customer next to me. He was gaging and running away. Lol. It'll get you noticed for shur.
I dont know if someone will answer my question but i did bought this parfum in 2018/2019 and i still have the same parfum till this day never made it empty so can i still use it after al those years?? It smells still strong and citrus ect
The scent is so generic and obtrusive. Like the ADHD child of your neighbour who is constantly shouting in your face and showing you his expensive toys to grab attention.
I have one question the Eau de Parfum is have you think it work better in the summer or spring because I spread on today and right now it’s winter right now
I would argue whoever does something better deserves more credit, ultimately. In my opinion it is a much bigger flex to come out with something, copy or clone a masterpiece which already is difficult to do, then also 1 up it. Just my 2c although I see where you're coming from and aren't necessarily wrong..
@@TranceForLyfe for example / all the people that buy the Aventus clones usually get caught up in it and for the money they spend on them they could have saved up and bought the original. And there curiosity is satisfied
@@michaelmunchie you think so? A decent clone can be picked up for ~$30. A bottle of Aventus goes for nearly $400... If you leave out niche clones, you could pretty much buy every single aventus clone on the market and still have $ left over. Also, the huge issue is current batches of Aventus do not perform. I could never spend $400 for a scent that goes away in 3 hours.

@@vairoxx4031 thanks, i try to bring it up to people but they don’t understand, I appreciate it
Have you gotten the edp yet?
@@jeppemadsen2497 no im waiting another month to get it, going for my second bottle of Bleu edp
Sauvage edp is said to be reformulated in 2019. Does anyone know the detailed information and what month it changed? I have 2020 september batch edp and its performance is very poor...
Still not "wasting sprays" Ash! Lol!
Own 200ml of both along with the Elixir, must haves for my collection for sure.
Mercedes-Benz man intense kinda reminds me of sauvage
Anyone else find it boring?
Yeah its very overrated and boring. Dont know why it has so much hype. I had the EDT and used it for gym
I LOVE EDP smells so musky and fresh. Recently smelt the Elixr and was my favorite but the price is a bit high
You’re giving me Shia LeBeouf vibes in this video
😂😂
I have a tester of sauvage edp, i thought it was the edt, the edp is still an ambroxian bomb :P
Correct. Some reviewers talk about this like it’s a totally different scent. It’s still a loud, synthetic ambroxan and pepper scent. Anything that’s “smoother” or “more elegant” is only in relation to the EDT not other scents.
It smells like shaving cream.
Bleu de Chanel parfum is king! Can’t wait to get it!
EDP version is last longer & smell solid than EDT.... 🔥
Wow gents. I got me the EDT version I must say for some reason I find the EDP that i smelled on testers so much more sensual than the EDT. The EDT is super strong and harsh to the nose or am I just a bit too picky
Just got a 6.7 oz bottle of EDP yesterday, while it’s nowhere near the projection and longevity of my 2018 release bottle.. it’s still great 👍
Same I concur but it's still great
Yes it is reformulated
Check the formulation code on the back (if u still have the box) that’s the only way to tell. Other than that, reformation talks is just that, talks
@@blankmandastankman which number is important.
@@4everalone210 which fragrance r u referring to?
I don’t get it. Maybe I got a bad copy or something but I really think Sauvage EDT is bad. It’s headache giving, too powerful and just too synthetic. Not for me. Gonna sell my bottle asap unfortunately.
It is like that. The headache that you got is from the huge amount of ambroxan thats in it. The ambroxan also makes sauvage lasts forever on the skin.
I don't care what anyone says! Sauvage EDP is my baby for life! The Parfum is a close second. Sauvage gets a bad rap because of the EDT and I have to agree. I just dont care for it at all because its so obnoxious and metallic.
Same I have have edt and parfum version but not tried the edp yet.
Nope... Carbon smells super Nice, but sauvage is more powerfull, i own dyllan blue, Pfdm percival etc and I adore the dna but sauvage is The goat
another down to earth job, well done. you should consider doing one on the older discontinued frags, ones i used to wear when you were still into baby powder lol. i remember some ysl offerings being absolutely beastly, and i'm not talking kouros. you are right about one thing, there are a lot of slackers out there. performance is paramount, and what's up with some of these atomizers...nautica comes to mind, as does bvlgari maninblack. looking forward to your next vlog.
Is the pride of Armaf more like the edt or the edp?
It's closer to edp about 80-90%
I have the parfum edition, it’s also great
I was going back and forth on whether to get the EDP or the parfum. I really like the parfum version - but I wanted a more fresher “crisp” sent, but not as loud and metallic as the EDT - so I went with the EDP. To me there is not much difference between the EDP and Parfum. The EDP is a bit (lighter) which I prefer overall
U should check out the afnan line modest une, sauvage edt clone room exploder, amazing inspiration!
I’m a woman who has been wearing the Sauvage EDP for about a month now. I have been told by men and women that I smell lovely lol. Definitely keeping as my signature fragrance.
Why? It’s a mens fragrance
@@symboIiq lol... All fragrances are unisex. Brands tend to promote it as either a male or women's (depending on the notes) but anyone can wear what they want. You'd be surprise how many women wear men's fragrances. Not all of us want to smell like candy or pretty flowers.
I've been debating whether to wear this one or not, since I gravitate towards male fragrances. I guess, I'll give it a try! :)
It should be a crime to overspray this cologne
Bleue De Chanel Parfum is much better everyone wears Sauvage!
People said the same about BDC lol. I own both, but BDC Parfum is far more expensive and, imo, a bit too fancy to some casual ocasions when sauvage would fit better.
This was recorded early morning. The small hair bundle on your right side, gives it up. Also you look sleepy.
Most random comment ever. Are you ok?
@@DTJ2024😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tempted for this!
I had a 100ml of the EDT and a sample of the EDP and I found myself preferring the EDP every time. I actually just got a bottle of the EDP so this is perfect lol
Have you got one of the newer batches of EDP and does it perform well?
Its going for 150 now
EDP for me. It’s great. But the best blue fragrance or most complimented? Oh idk about that
The most overhyped yeah, definitely not the best lol
What versatile fragrances gave you more compliments Than dior sauvage ?
I'd say AdG.
A new Sauvage flanker comes up on google search even though the link does not work. “Sauvage Elixir is an extraordinarily concentrated fragrance steeped in the emblematic freshness of Sauvage with a heady heart of Spice…”
Sounds interesting 🤔
Saw it too but the price though 155$US for 60 ml come on now 😳
My favorite from the trio 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
How many sprays ?
5 to 7 in the wild. 3 in close quarters.
Parfum all day long for me.
I was gifted the EDP version and to me it smells like an old lady perfume.. Its pretty potent and off putting, I did get a few complements on it the few times I tried to wear it but If I cant stand it then I'm not wearing it for the sake of complements. Kind of smells like Poison the ladies perfume, yuk.
ysl y edp is the one trust me 👍
Just bought elixir, and it comes with 10mil bottle of edp and few samples of homme and homme sports. Im not a big fan of lavender, this is heavy lavender in dry down. Sorry but i everytime i smell it, i feel like im in a feuneral parlor or reminds me of those 80s 90s woman spray net scents. Rather go ysl edp than this
Sauvage EDP and Elixir are fantastic.
I just picked up the Elixir for the winter season an love it. I am going to pick up the EDP closer to spring time. I am almost 40 so think the EDP will suite me better than the EDT.
I don’t see what all the hype is. It smells like barbershop to me. I’d rather have Chanel allure sport
Is dior sauvage overrated?
Nope, edt is the king
First time I used it I sprayed four sprays and 20 minutes later went into the store. I choked out the customer next to me. He was gaging and running away. Lol. It'll get you noticed for shur.
I dont know if someone will answer my question but i did bought this parfum in 2018/2019 and i still have the same parfum till this day never made it empty so can i still use it after al those years?? It smells still strong and citrus ect
Review Layton by PDM!
The scent is so generic and obtrusive. Like the ADHD child of your neighbour who is constantly shouting in your face and showing you his expensive toys to grab attention.
I have one question the Eau de Parfum is have you think it work better in the summer or spring because I spread on today and right now it’s winter right now
Always go with the innovator not the imitator
I have the edp and my fiancés dad has the edt. In my opinion I like the edp better but maybe it’s because I like the smoother scent.
Can a woman wear this fragrance? The first time I smelt this I thought I had visited heaven. Would it be odd for a woman to wear this scent?
I've ordered mine today. 200ml for 107€ (~124$).
I will see if it's worth the money or not. His opponents:
Tom Ford Ombré Leather (100ml)
Armani Acqua di Gio Profumo (125ml)
Versace Eros EdP (100ml)
Armaf Club the Nuit Intense Man EdP (200ml)

The one and only Halloween Man X (50ml) 😂😅
Did you receive it. How is the fragrance. And can you give me the batch code.?
All the other feragrances you mentioned have brutal performance compared to my batch of sauvage edp, unfortunately (and no, I'm not going nose blind... I own sauvage EDT and it lasts and projects like crazy).
@KMV what is your batch code
@@kmw1175 which year did u buy the edt in?
The EDT versions of most perfumes tend to be tailored for the young and outgoing crowd. More aggressive, more in your face and a bit juvenile!
The EDP versions, on the other hand, tend to project as milder, more balanced, more settled and more mature. I'm waiting for my order of the EDP to arrive this evening!
My edp projects Way more than my edt
Na the Parfum is the older man version
I haven't felt the slightest desire to try Dior Sauvage. Cant even explain why. I'm sure I will at some point, but I'm not in any great hurry.
