It's llama time! If you're new here, "llama" is a fun nickname we have come up with for people like you who paint with Let’s Make Art. We are mixing a lot of colors in this project, so don’t stress out about undertones of purple or green!
Grab the kit: www.letsmakear...

the best art lesson in this tutorial is Sarah giving us permission to learn and create without judgement. joy is truly found when we stretch out of our comfort zone. thanks for being my teacher LMA.
I love Sarah's watercolour videos, thank you.
I love llamas! Can't wait to try this. Sarah, thanks for sharing your knowledge and positivity!
Hope you enjoy!

Just lovely. Thank you so much, and hope you had a merry Christmas.
I just ordered this kit! I have about 25 llamas, one is named Napoleon dynamite ❤️
Super cute, can’t wait to give it a try. Maybe tomorrow before Christmas Eve Service.
Merry Christmas to Let’s make Art. Thankyou for teaching us new words. ❤️
Love the colors on this new one.
I'm a Wisconsinite! Love your channel and tutorials! Wear the Packer colors proudly... I do!
You and your husband are adorable, I've been looking for a great watercolor tutorial channel on here for a while now...you make me excited to paint! I think I've found the channel I'm going to follow!
So happy to have you! We also offer kits and subscriptions to go along with the tutorials if those strike your fancy. :)
What a fun painting. Merry Christmas
Looks great. I still need to do the birch trees.. I do like the squinting tech. I use that when quilting to see colors against each other so yes squinting does work. Awesome video. You two are so funny and entertaining. Merry Christmas to all of LMA.. Can't wait to see what 2020 brings.. Hugs
I ordered the llama kit and am trying to patiently wait for it. Once you decide to do it, you want to start 'right then'. Can't wait to see the kit and get started.
We totally get that, Carol! Please keep us posted on how you enjoy painting your llama, and be sure to share it with us on our Facebook or Instagram @letsgomakeart! :)
OMG Sarah I have that same shirt!!! 😂 I love it too 🥰
Go Pack!!! Love your tutorials, you make it looks so easy. I just keep watching, I can’t take yer leap.
Sarah, I love Oreo thins too. The Best Oreo in my opinion!!!
Merry Christmas Sarah and thank you for all your watercolour tutorials throughout the year, I have learnt so much from you . 😘😘👏👏🎄🇬🇧😘😘
Hug dealer 🤣🤣😍😍 Llama loving this tutorial a lot xx
I use a Huion light box and I love it!
Merry Christmas from England
It’s the Fa La La La Llama!
Where is the traceable? Love love llamas .
So my guess as to why dark colors stay darker after adding water is that less of the pigment/dye is absorbed into the paper. The water is absorbed first, so the color can stay on the surface. :)
Love the reminder "shiny side down". And although I do know this, can't tell you how many times I've traced the entire thing only to find the image on the other side of my printout!!! Grrr.
The struggle is REAL.
I think the better word would be "alternate" not oscillate, lol. But thanks for the light humor. Always love learning.

Sarah was SO unsure as to what he was going to finish that sentence with. The look she gave him before she heard the rest of sentence was hilarious!
Look how to pronounce sepia. Love your show
Regarding hydrogen peroxide for removing blood - true! I worked at a vet clinic for 5 years and we had to wear white uniforms. If we got blood on it, first thing was to grab the hydrogen peroxide and dab or pour. Takes the blood right out.
What a gross but absolutely fabulous thing to know! Thanks for sharing!
Go Pack Go!
Also, where do you find such great animal reference photos from which to work?
Hey Christina! Sarah gets her reference photos from all over the place, we can't point to a specific location.
I don’t see any comments so I’m assuming I’m finally first!!!! 🥰😁
Vicky Torres you beat me!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! ;)
Do you have classes at your studio?
Not at this time, We do have a makers station if you wanted to work on a project or had questions.
I have a question as a total newbie to watercolor: do I rinse out my pan of mixed colors, or just let them dry to wet another day?
Either or. Many artists choose to conserve their paint until it is used up or mixed to the point they can't be used anymore.
Can you do a horse please!
We will add that to our suggestion box! Thanks for letting us know what you're looking for, that helps us make the best possible tutorials.
And here I thought you did a Llama in the December box because December 9 is National Llama Day...instead of that fact that you call all of us LMA's.
Maybe we did it for both reasons ;)
It's ok Kenan, I can't watch Napoleon Dynamite either, lol.
You need to watch through two times before you can truly appreciate this film. So many gems you miss if you don’t.
Can we do a covered bridge or a deer some time? LOVE lets make art...
We can totally add those to our request list! Until then have you seen the Holiday Buck tutorial? www.letsmakeart.com/products/holiday-buck-kit
When is the live for this tutorial?
There is not a live scheduled for this tutorial
Which watercolor did u use?
The brand is called Dandilion Co. The colors used are: Sepia, Deep Blue, and Red
Keenan! I fall asleep every time I’ve tried to watch Napoleon Dynamite too! I really just don’t like it.
Brooke Turman worst movie. SO STUPID.
Let's make cookies i mean art.
Less chatting with unseen male, please.
But that's what makes it more fun to watch
@Shirley Dilley agree totally. Get on with the job. Try Dani Till (she has a channel on UA-cam!) She gives the tutorial, in a calm and methodical manner without the mindless chatter. Another good one is Emma Lefebvre (I think that is the spelling).
Hey Shirley! We totally get it, some people like to get right to business. We've started adding the Jump to Tutorial button in the description to get where you need to go.
It's a free tutorial- if you don't like it, don't watch!
