Trying to find out about the 6200mm pro, but there are hardly any videos about it. I have a similar setup, i.e. a 130 APO with the same focal length, but with the 1600mm pro and was thinking of course if I were to switch to the 6200mm pro, then I would need to also get the larger FW like yours, but what about guiding? I have the zwo mini guider which I use with the same guiding camera like you (120mm) - is it necessary to switch to the OAG-L or did you just never use the guidescope in the first place?` And in general if you could tell me how the 6200mm pro actually performs with your scope since as I said we have a very similar scope? Thank you!
You don’t need the OAG, I just always use it because I find it more convenient. Actually for this scope I do not 100% recommend this camera because on paper it corrects up to full frame, it is actually not the case, the corners are not perfect. I set it to 60mm instead of the recommended 55mm, which seems like the sweet spot, but not 100% perfect. I have the 2” filter wheel with mounted filters but they vignette quite a bit, I would recommend you get unmounted filters - that’s what I would do if I could pick again. My 6200mm actually completely broke after 5 months of use - it stopped taking pictures. It was under warranty so the retailer just gave me a new one instead. I also have the 1600mm and I have to say it’s a huge upgrade also in noise not just the sensor size - go for it! Alternatively you can always go in-between with a 2600mm :) hope this helps
@@the_space_koala I just read through a 2000+ Posts Thread on Cloudy Nights :) and am none the wiser. It would seem when using the OAG with the M54 Adapter many people were getting vignetting with similar setups to ours, so ZWO is offering now a M68 Adapter which should if not eliminate at least minimize the vignetting significantly. So, maybe before you think about switching to unmounted filters you should give it a try with the M68 (as in -> Scope ->M68 -> OAG) if that is something your focuser allows to do. I am waiting in any case because as I said, if I were to get this, then I would have to get everything else as well (large EFW, large filters, maybe OAG ...).
@@sHuRuLuNi thanks for the tip! I'm not going to switch to unmounted filters just because of this. I just have to take real good flats and ensure that my subs are long enough :) But if I were to buy it again I'd go for the unmounted ones!
Thanks for the vid !! Could you one day show your c14 setup, thanks
Sure thing will do
@@the_space_koala thank you, by the way awesome location !!
Great views from your location - where is this? Looks like you are on top of the mountain as well.
It’s my home in Lugano, Switzerland

@@the_space_koala Thank you for the info. Is the vignetting maybe also a result of the focuser diameter? Which one do you have? I have a 3.7" focuser.

Is the Skywatcher EQ6 mount enough for this refractor? Thanks.
