Thanks for the memories! We camped at the racecourse 10 years ago at a geocaching mega event. It’s where we were introduced to the sticky toffee pudding. We are sooooo lucky now as our local farm shop sells it 😍 Gosh! You did well with the weather 😜 Looking forward to seeing you out in the new van 🚍☀️

Cartmell is such a cute little place we used to visit occasionally. The Cartmell Races camping gets booked up really quickly so you have to get in there fast I think! Great video 👍

Thank you 😊 sadly both of our Jack Russells have early doggie dementia 🙁 Jay gets really stressed in the motorhome and at nearly 16 and 17 they prefer to sleep most of the day and can’t walk too far as their joints aren’t too strong nowadays. So it’s best for them to stay at home where they know their surroundings and our grown up kids move back in or they go to the kennels they’ve known for years. It’s a real shame but best for them and us to be honest. We don’t have to worry as we know they are safe and happy. 😊 Riki loves them really but they do smell in their old age 😅
I love the idea of Sticky Toffee Ice cream. I never know whether to have ice cream or custard with sticky toffee. I now like the idea of Sticky Toffee ice cream with custard 🥰 Cartmel looks like a lovely quaint place. Thank you guys. Poor Riki missed out on the ice cream as it had gluten in it and that would have been too cruel to eat in front of me! It sounds delicious though. I think you can have pudding, custard and ice cream all together 😂 Cartmel was another little gem. You could explore the Lake District for months. Great car park find though in such a tiny village 👍🏻
We are going to Coniston at the end of March. Cartmel is only going to be 40 mins away. I need to get some sticky toffee pudding! Will I be able to park a nearly 8mtr long Motorhome in that car park? Great video as always 😊
Thanks Tim. Lucky you, it’s such a beautiful area. There were about 5 motorhome bays in that car park. Three of them were really long. Longer than the one we parked in and we were in the 584 in this vlog which was 7.8m. So you should be fine but get there early to grab a space maybe! The road in is tight and single track but it wasn’t too busy as we went mid afternoon. You can check out the satellite image view with What 3 Words so decide which way would be best to approach from! The pudding was well worth it so Riki says 😊

I did make a vlog last year when I introduced them to the motorhome. It took Jay ages to settle. We did take them away a few times but Jay didn’t settle and got himself stuck in the footwells and kept trying to get in the shower ☹️ They both have early doggy dementia but Jay more so. So they don’t deal with change very well. It’s just not fair as Jay gets really stressed. They both have stiff joints too as they are 15 &16 so can’t walk far. They can’t be left as they have lots of accidents now too. So they stay at home and one of our grown up children move back in or they go to the kennels they have been going to for years. So it’s all familiar and they don’t show any stress. 😊 happy dogs happy mum. I’ll put some picture of them on our Instagram account though as they are still cute! 🥰 🐶🐶
@@TheHillsExplore poor little toots, we have a 9 year old cockapoo who’s still fit and his happy place is in the motorhome he refuses to leave it when we get home I’m not looking forward to him not being fit to join us as he was the catalyst to us getting a motorhome. I will look for the vlog and join you on instagram, very much looking forward to joining on your fab trips this year 😀
