Aloha Monica,
Hauʻoli makahiki hou to you and your Ohana.
Such another awesome video to end 2023 in the vinyl community. It's really great to discover new music , whether it's been around for a while or a new 2023 release. Discovering or rediscovering & sharing music is part of my personal happiness.
As this year comes to an end , I would like to thank you for an amazing year of UA-cam videos.
Looking forward to 2024 to see what great music you'll be listening 🎶 & sharing with the vinyl community. Have a Great UA-cam break in January 2024. Hope to hear from you in February.

Thank you Ed for taking the time to watch my episodes, you have shared so much classic music I would have missed out on if it weren’t for you . Hope you and the family have a great start to 2024!!
Enjoy the time away, look forward to future videos.
Thank you! Im gonna get bored for sure but creativity happens in the boredom 😂
Nice finds Monica!!! Songs In The Key Of Life was the first Stevie Wonder album I heard. Great stuff. Have a happy New Year! 😄✌
We found his Inner vision album a long time ago at a thrift store and been looking for this album, happy new year to you too!!
Happy New Year Monie 🥳 🎉 ! Everything Is Alive by Slowdive was my favorite album of the year & glad you like it so much ! Kisses 💋 is such a great song & video.
The album is so inspiring, glad they’re making music again. Happy New Year to you too!!
Great additions to your collection, Monie! Stevie Wonder is a must have! Very cool to have indie artists sending you their records! I got a free meat slicer sent to me last year 😂. Congratulations on your 2023 UA-cam growth. I’m proud of you in many ways. Have a great 2024!
Wow a free meat slicer! That’s Awesome, I hope a record cleaning company send me some products 😂 happy new year!
Happy New Year, Monie! Love that Stevie Wonder album. Strokes rule!
Happy New Year to you too!! Stevie Wonder is such a classic, glad I was able to get this album
Cool last 2023 video! Wife and I just found you last year, mentioned your channel in our VinylTag2023 video as a fav channel discovery in 2023. Keep up the sweet vids! From your new friends in Seattle 😁
Really?!! Ok I’ll find your vinyl tag 2023 . I’m finally having time to watch other vc videos. So many great channels thanks for finding me
👋Monica, i new you would like the Elvis cd. Theres a lot of soft mood songs on that from the 71 xmas album that i knew you would like. Ill have to make a mix cd for you with his deep tracks of moodier or i call sad Elvis tunes . That song you played on cassette was Tomorrow is a long time written by Bob Dylon. Thats what i call sad Elvis music.😁
You can connect you cassette player to your reciever if the deck has a headphone jack. You need a rca jack to 3.5 mm head phone jack cable . Plug in to an audio input jack on back of your sony. Cassette will sound great coming through your amp. Have a happy new years 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.
The cd has been in the car all winter! Great idea on trying to connect my tape player to my stereo, it does have a headphone jack! Yes moody Elvis is so beautiful, funny you knew the song from that little snippet I prayed! 😆 Happy New Year to you too!!

A handful of records I pre-ordered and bought just arrived! and they are:
1) THE MUSIC OF DRAGON AGE.
I don't buy multiple copies of records, but I made an exception for this album and snagged 3 copies of the Box Set when Pre-Ordering launched back in May because I HAD BEEN HOPING BioWare would press the music of this game series on vinyl FOR THE LAST 12 YEARS! and they finally did this year. It's the music of their games "Dragon Age: Origins", "Dragon Age II" "Dragon Age: Inquisition", some cuts from the DLCs (Downloadable Content) and Expansions, AND MARYDEN'S TAVERN SONGS!
Maryden Halewell is an NPC (Non-Playable Character) in Inquisition and the official minstrel of the titular organization who has a set of songs she performs in Skyhold Tavern, but The Inquisitor (the protagonist) & Co. can find songs in the game world to give her and expand her setlist to include around 20 songs in total. BioWare only included 10 of the 20 songs, but I'm just happy they included SOME of them because I love Elizaveta Khripounova's voice!
2) GOD OF WAR 2018 & GOD OF WAR: RAGNAROK.
I HAVEN'T PLAYED these, but I've seen the movies that GamersLittlePlayground made. This UA-cam Channel stitches cutscenes from the games they play into LONG movies (I'm talking anywhere from 4 - 12 hours) that I love watching whenever I feel on the fence about particular games, and I feel that way about the latest God Of War games because the dialogue is too modern. I haven't ruled playing them one day out though.
HOWEVER, Bear McCreary - one of my favourite composers who also scored two of my favourite TV series Battlestar Galactica and The Walking Dead - wrote a pair of absolutely phenomenal soundtracks for these games!
3) ROBYN MILLER - MYST: THE SOUNDTRACK.
This is going to take me back to my tweens, when my friend Harrison Pink stayed with my family and I whenever he had a break from his studies at the private Ridley College in St. Catherines, Ontario. He was immersed in this game and dreamed of working for Cyan, the studio that made this, a dream he realised in light of graduating from Savannah College of Art & Design and he's now a veteran in the game industry, having spent the last 16 years with the likes of Cyan, TellTale and is now a Senior Designer with Blizzard.
That’s pretty amazing, video games soundtracks have cult followings and sell out so fast. You’re building a pretty cool collection . I love hearing how music brings back life memories .
@@MonieMuse
I've been collecting for about 10 years now, and the number of records I have is in the 400s. It's a very eclectic mix.... like, aside from the video game soundtracks, I have:
- TV and movie soundtracks (Stranger Things S1 - 4, Game Of Thrones S1 - 6, Jurassic World, Blade Runner, Blade Runner 2049, The Dark Knight, Princess Mononoke, Cowboy Bebop, Death Proof, Akira, Ghost In The Shell, Halloween, The Witch)
- Jazz, Hip Hop, Alternative Hip Hop, Pop, Synthwave, Alternative Rock, Post-Rock, Post-Hardcore, Hardcore, and an absolute abundance of Metal.
Actually "Gangsta's Paradise" is a sample of "Pastime Paradise" not "Village Ghetto Land"
ua-cam.com/video/1TLFnokO1Oo/v-deo.htmlsi=brzg2Y-EXENdGKQf
Oh Really, it sounds like it to me, do you know if ghetto land is used another hip hop song
All I know is Ghetto Village by Warren G (2001)
Did you check out the UA-cam link I sent you? That's the song that Coolio sampled
@@matthewchance8835 ohh I had the wrong name of the song!
@@MonieMuse It's alright at least you knew it was Stevie Wonder & what album it was
If we send music from Europe, you probably have to pay ridiculous custom taxes?
Mostly disappointed by online year reviews on the internet. Every year, the same artists. Mainly american artists, no traditional / legacy names because that's not hipster enough.
I bought the latest Cannons album as a 24 bit download from Qobuz, but haven't listened yet.
Have Keane on SACD, but I think every version of this album is heavily brickwalled and compressed.
Flaming Lips is a great album, have no cd, just the Qobuz hi-res download. CD on my wishlist.
Here's my list in random order, mostly ignored by USA press and blogs:
01) Loverman: Lovesongs (PIAS) (warm up for Tamino during EU Tour)

04) bar italia: Tracey Denim (Matador)
05) Ão: Ão mar (Mayway Records)
06) Angie MacMahon: Light, Dark, Light Again (Gracie Music - Awal)
07) Maple Glider: I Get Into Trouble (Partisan)
08) Caroline Polachek - Desire I Want to Turn Into You (Perpetual Novice)

11) Feist: Multitudes (Universal)
12) Dijf Sanders: Supra (Unday)
13) Peter Gabriel: I/O (Real World)
