That harder boss they're talking about in doppler stage 1 is Press Disposer. Defeating both Bit and Byte replaces Godkarmachine O Inary with Press Disposer. (I struggled on Press Disposer a lot)
I dont fight the bosses in X3 less than full HP But Darren just decimated these guys like no business. Yeah, RnG sucks. Even with good patterns I still get hit pretty hard but thats the thing that I love about X3. They hit hard.
This games just that bit too tough for me........Ive beaten all the classic 6 nes games, Ive beaten X and X2, but this added layer of difficulty is just a bit too much for me. I can grind my way through X3 but with deaths and a lot of strugling. Also I dont like this.......and not JUST because I suck at it....there are other games I suck at, which I really enjoy....this game just feels like a job of work.
This game is basically my whole childhood, but I had the PS1 version, and I recommend every megaman X fan to play that version, because of the soundtrack. I wouldn't say it's better than the original, the og soundtrack is awesome, but the remastered version is SO GOOD. just try that version, you wont regret it.
aside from the soundtrack which I know was severely lacking in comparison to X and X2, exactly how was it "monumentally" disappointing? That is such a large margin you are giving it there.

the older 2D games still hold up graphically so well. this games beautiful.
X1-X3 are such amazing games, they hold up in every facet to this day, not just graphically!

I disliked hard hitting at first but once I had a run that I was comfortable with, it’s not bad now.
Imagine having to take no dmg in this speed run.

The SNES has most of the better versions but with that being said I totally agree not to mention the anime scenes you get with that version!

It did... only with X5-6, but in Europe and Japan, PS1 and Saturn versions were released too.
The load times sucks on that version, I recommend playing it on the X collection on ps2

Compared to X1 or X2, I agree. But compared to MM7 which was released on the SNES the same year... this was gold. *pun intended*
