A tip for eating in your cabin. If you don't want to leave plates in your cabin or in the hall, just make sure you DON'T put them on your balcony. Birds can be attracted to it and sometimes they get stuck on the part lower than the balcony glass and can't figure out how to fly up and away. Or the birds might go in your cabin if your balcony door is open and food is near the balcony. Please don't ask me how I know about this...
Had issues on 2 cruises with the safe door malfunctioning when trying to open. Was instructed by the head housekeeper to avoid having any items inside anywhere near the inside of the safe door. Don't overfill it or the door mechanism can get blocked. It only happens at the most inopportune times.
Check function of the closet door and cupboard doors. As well as the safe door, even if you don't use it. Lock it up. At night while you are sleeping the ship will be rocking and these doors will swing. Banging against other cupboards, waking you up wondering what that sound is
Norwegian cruise has the greatest system in case you get lost or turned around on the ship. You just look at the carpet and you follow the way the Fishies are swimming so if you just tell yourself, just keep swimming, you’ll know which way and you’ll never get lost again pretty smart, huh?😊😊😊
Lost our wedding ring by leaving it in the safe in debark day. We called and also went to port to get it 3 hrs later and they could care less we filed a lost and found report. Nooooo luck😭😭😭 had the ring for 30 years
Few hacks we have found helpful : 1) we have a simple metal travel safe, it has a smooth plastic coated wire that I attach to the bed frame separate from my suitcase under there. (ie, it will sit between our suitcases) 2) laptop bag safe is just like that as well 3) walks are metal, bring hook magnets 4) we have a lanyard that hooks through a hole we ask to be punched. When we are in the cabin using the key card for lights, we loop the land yard over the door handle or use a magnetic hook to hold up the lanyard cord to eye level…. Never forgot the room card that way.
I bring a spare card for the ships nlyhat need one for the lights and I have a magnetic hook that I hand my room key on right over the door knob so I have a very low chance of forgetting it when I walk out.
The only times we've booked a balcony, there has been a chain smoker next to us. If the cabin steward doesn't see it, they told us there is nothing they can do.
First cruise for us Sept ‘24 to Alaska….chain smokers on balcony next to ours. (Family with Granny/grandpa who both smoked). We just “ate” it and didn’t complain. Would’ve complained had it been marijuana smoke.
I’m allergic to cig smoke, when smokers on the balcony next to us started we reported it to the staff above the steward. They paid a visit to that cabin by the higher ups. Never had an issue again. Thus our cabin steward didn’t get insulted by the offenders for handling the complaint.
Great information!! I got locked out my cabin for the first time after placing my luggage out the night before disembarking. Luckily my room steward was servicing a room a few doors down and let me back in! Crisis averted!😂
My sister just came back from a cruise to Greece. She left out her underwear and nightgown….when she returned to the cabin….they were laid out on the bed !! She just thought it was creepy…😂😂😂
I’m an older lady that has ALWAYS had to touch something with a wet paint sign to see if it is still wet. I have done this since I was a kid and don’t think I will change now. So the next time I sail in a cabin with
To finish…. A cabin with a balcony I will have to open the balcony and room door at the same time. I’ll be ready to clean up a mess but I have to do it.😂😂😂😂😂
That wind tunnel is a doooozeey almost took my finger off. He has an old fashion adapter. Buy the one with a cord and a box. I hid my vibrator. My room steward sought it out! Oh well! Oh my God, the two Covid people coughing for the entire cruise. It was a Covid coughing cruise!😳 I always pull the covers up. I can not stand everything out of place!
Surge protectors are banned because the way they work on land makes them a huge fire risk on a cruise ship. I don't remember all the details, but basically the exact thing they do to protect your items from a surge is what would cause a fire on a cruise ship, since the electricity is setup differently there

Don't have to ask already know your stupid
Don't stick the dirty dishes in the hallway where others have to step around them and where they block wheelchair access.
Drives me nuts when ppl set their trays in the hallway. Looks trashy and should be left in your room for the room attendants to pick up

I like to keep my items in the safe in a gallon ziplock so I don't forget any small items

I use a bike lock to my carry on and the carry on has a lock. I put my passport etc in there. Great tip!
Do NOT flush wipes in the marine toilet!
Instead use the litter box.
Even napkins or thicker paper will cause problems in the water system
Great Video and information as always! 👏

Still hated their smoke…..guess don’t hate it enough😮

Please.dont let your doors slam , it startles people and wakes others when sleepimg🫠
+1 Something about the doors especially just shakes everything and is heard too well.

Don't forget to check before having fun how visible you might be by other balconies above you!
Do not carry expensive jewelry.
Yup. I've got a groove wedding band for excursions and a fake diamond set for dining nights.
We took a portable bidet on our last Cruise because we knew the toilet paper was so thin
And? Your reason?
@@BettyEkmanian-rm1yw
Because at one point Tanner tells the audience about the thin, horrible toilet paper the cruise uses.
He said he brings wipes.
Your Gross!
You are kidding... right?
@@Jungfraugal23
Sure....why not?
This video makes me want 10 minutes of my life back?!? Seriously?
Viking ships have decent toilet paper.
Smoking used to be OK on your balcony, and the ship even provided ash trays. I used to enjoy a big cigar out there. Wow...How things have changed eh?

We have never needed an adaptor.
Have never done any of those things
