Thanks brother, you made my day.
Definitely I would have loved to be like the great raveendran master.
But alas!, I don't even have even 1/100th of his calibre.
So, not possible in this lifetime.
Being a hindu, just dreaming if it could happen in some lifetime in future.

@@shenilksabu7532 keertans are set from panchamam ( manthrastayi) to panchamam ( Tarastayi).
      It's 2 octave sufficient range.
      Most film songs too are.
While practicing swaras, and aakaram one could practice 3 octaves from atimantrastsyi to athitarastayi based on one's range.
Basically 2 octaves are more than enough to sing beautifully.

    ഇത് കഴിഞ്ഞുള്ള humming ലെ higher note ആണ് പിടിക്കാൻ പറ്റാത്തത്.. അത് falsetto ano?

    • @dr.anoopkumarkoileri7315
      @dr.anoopkumarkoileri7315 Рік тому

      Definitely it's falsetto
But that doesn't mean it's false voice
It's a voice that's produced mixing air flow from laryn ( throat) through both mouth and nose.
There is a limit to falsetto after which it becomes howling.

      Dear Friend
Music to my very humble understanding is very technical too.
In film music I have known only 3, non technical geniuses, The great Kishore Kumar, The celestial Janaki & the Inimitable SPB. Apart from these all others are technical geniuses. The best being Mr K.J Yesudas ( our dasettan)
One of the most common vocal techniques is vibrato. This is a powerful tool for any pop vocalist, as well as singers across different styles. Controlling your breath, as well as working on nasal and humming exercises will definitely improve your singing technique. If you're a beginner then there is plenty to learn.
Things like head voice chest voice falsetto yodelling etc.
You may read about how Kishore Kumar went abroad to train yodelling ( the only training he took) and see how there's no one ever who could do better.
For any normal person getting trained in basic techniques of singing from a good guru is inevitable.
So I don't agree with you that technique is irrelevant.
No one can sing a song like pramadhavanam or harimuraleeravam perfectly with out training in basic technique of singing.
Anyhow I agree with your point on the importance of continuous practice to make your voice smooth.
