I agree the colour is not the best.... Yellow is the popular choice. However this is a demonstration vehicle and not a full specced out aero package like the AMG A45 I was in few weeks ago. It goes aswell as a 2.0ltr 300hp car can. EU emissions regulations are diluting the car sounds though....
Thanks mate.....this is a real hot hatch directly competing with the likes of Golf R and Audi S3. A250 AMG was not really a full on hot hatch. However this is quite an expensive car to be fair.....
Comes on sale in Australia this October, and I’m putting an order for brand new . Though am not sure if I should get the aero pack in denim blue or Mountain grey colour skeem. Most of the options will come as standard in Australian specs
How do you find it compared to the civic type r? Aside from the interior being ahead of the civic, drive and power wise would you rate them similar? Would it be eno8gh to make you move from the civic to the a35 or do you think you'd sit tight and go for the a45 when it comes along?
As a x2 ctr owner let me chime in. They do feel very sim. The DCT feels like it “pulls” more when slowing or reg driving. But they A35 is def quicker, but I feel the CTR would pull away slowly in the top end. I now own a 21 A35. The CTR active suspension feels a little stiffer than my 35 with the base suspension. Interior goes to the A35 hands down, but the CTR seats, when your sitting in them, feel more comfy, but harder to get into and you have to watch your balls if you are wearing baggy shorts or jogging pants. You will crunch them as I did a few times, not fun lol.
The black panel dials on the M140i looks far better than all of these cars with PS4's for dashboards. In my humble opinion. Infact, the whole interior is just better. In my humble opinion. I'm not saying that just because I own a 140i. Actually, it might be......
Lol mate yes I'm a finance guy but I have no idea how much valuation is in a number plate. I know some plates fetch a lot of money but I wouldn't know what this would be worth...
Looks good but I’d wait for the 45 .your at the traffic lights and a smug 45 owner pulls up at the lights and you have that sinking feeling! even though you’ve splashed out of £40+ grand. If you can afford the payments on a 35 im sure you could stretch to the 45!!! Ps I’m not a sales man😀😀
It is a nice car although you pay for the tech because I think it is well overpriced over here. Besides I would never ever make it this understating with that look. The blue is to dull, the rims are easy to overlook and no spoiler of extra exteriour amg stuff what so ever. I would rather go for a more agressive look like most of the yellow ones out there. But then again its just taste and someone else finds my idea horrific.
Yes this does look quite understated. Thing to remember here is that this is a dealership demonstration vehicle and these are usually specced to a price.... In this case sub £40k for lower tax band. This has got the premium plus pack on which is going to be a common option. Aero kit adds a nice styling upgrade but would then take the price over the £40k unfortunately
Hey man, you’ve made a few mistakes... - The exhaust tips on this are fake. - the front end is different to the standard a class - you don’t need to do a “Cold start procedure”, it’s literally to make the car louder on start up - the seats aren’t real leather in this car, it’s fake leather, you need the leather package to get the real leather seats - the tyres are because of the wheel set up. The style pack adds 19 inch wheels and Pirelli PZero tyres - the 0-60 is 4.7 Just worth pointing out man!

DownShift Throttle I took delivery of mine a few weeks ago. The exhausts are just tips and aren’t connected to the actual pipes. The alcantara seats have the fake the leather, the other seats are real leather. You can reference this on the MB configurator.
Sound wise.... I think it's as good as it gets for a 4 pot. It doesn't sound like a V5 the way a Golf R sounds synthesised. Colour is a bit bland but I guess it was what was available. A black, yellow or green would look awesome

The Aero pack looks great and sets the car off. Even this denim blue would look great with the Aero kit. All the best with your purchase.
The ‘cold start’ you did is wrong, there is an emottion start you do this buy starting the car with one of the shifters held.
Interesting to see Contact 6 tyres as they are the OEM FK2/8 tyre also.

You know what it actually reminded me of the type r with 4wd and auto gearbox. It definitely feels quicker than the FK2/FK8.
