And the vehicle sucks. I tried it. Then immediately turned the game off. And started up fallout new vegas and drove around in the frontier vehicles I ported to the vanilla game. It made me happy.

Yeah, there was clearly something be stated with that character creation, or the mod situation wouldn't have been a big deal. But for me, that's a nothing burger as far as my gameplay goes and the gameplay, and story, in Starfield is a total dud. It's just another soulless, buggy game from a developer that really REALLY needs a change in management at this point.

1. Boosted Az to people who likely never watched him, and realized his take was actually correct.
2. Exposed the Act Ma'am for what he truly is.
3. Opened many peoples eyes to how mediocre Bethesda truly has been since Morrowind and Oblivion.

- an eat food off the floor button
- detailed maps
- a car
- creation club integration to charge you 7$ for a single quest
- 1 new faction with 1 of 2 quest that got the other cut for a 7$ creation club addition.

I can't believe starfield has been around for a year, nobody ever talks about it anymore, that is how dead it is.
I forgot it existed entirely.
They tried really hard to make Skyrim feel epic. Nords were openly nativist. Dragons were cool. Quests weren't super engaging but the world was so interesting that it felt good to do them. Starfield doesn't really have that. Starfield has a few decent quests and a ship builder. The ship builder, however, is fairly pointless because you don't actually use your ship for much. Space dogfights are extremely rare so you have a glorified cargo ship everywhere you go. There's no point exploring planets because they are all procedurally generated. No point building outposts because there's nothing on the planets. They really didn't design Starfield very well and I haven't even touched on the wokeness.
It kind of sounds like they tried to use technology as a substitute for creativity.
Starfield was supposed to be Bethesda's big release and it already left the cultural zeitgeist a few weeks after its initial release.
Nobody remembers Starfield.

What? Starfield is amazing. I just started a new character not to long ago and have over 60 hours on it and going strong. The world exploration is great and the worlds themselves are beautiful. There is a ton of stuff to do. The community is amazing.
Hell, they just added fishing to the game, super relaxing between killing pirates and exploring the galaxy...

Sorry, that is No Man's Sky. Not Starfield. A game made by a company with less than 50 people in it that has been putting out free DLC for 8 years after one of the greatest redemption stories in gaming history.

Early on, it was revealed as a subversion.. people were looking out for the clone of some guy, and then you find out they were hidden because they had the genetic code switched so they were a woman instead, etc.
Then, it's basically treated as normal. "This is so-and-so, a clone of big-important-person" and they are a woman instead of a man. K. Who cares. Genetic code manipulation is pretty much standard fare in sci-fi by now.
But this game wanted to treat it specifically as if it was some big deal, but also playing it off like it shouldn't be a big deal? They aren't adding it because "sci-fi"... they are adding it because "modern audience".
When it's couched in 7 hours of other nonsense, it doesn't feel the same, even as when it was put in Mass Effect.

My grandsons played for 3/4 days. I lasted a couple of weeks. Then, after fetching the 7th artefact and , on my way back to zombieville and doom lodge, a little voice in my head said “if we have to fetch one more piece of driftwood your soul will shrivel up and die.” And with a huge feeling of relief, I was out of there.

The game was already 10 years old when it came out.... just ridiculous..
Starfield didnt get any better. The later Bounty Hunter DLC, Agent No 1 "didnt conform to gender" and wanted to be referred to as THEY/THEM. Barrett (Male) had a Husband, another Girl in Neon had a girlfriend. Just pure facepalm moments.
Starfield did get better from what it was at the beginning the story line and the quest are still the same but what pist me off was going through the game with barrette just to find out he was gay like he's the only likable character I stopped hanging with him😂
I pretty much noped right out of the BH DLC stuff after my first time through. Maybe I'll take advantage of the Astra gear. Thankfully I didn't pay for any of it. Just shoveling in more and more. Not sure how much clearer we have to be that WE DON'T WANT THAT! They could have kept it ambiguous and had *HIM* say "I am simply... No One." SIMPLE! But noooooooooooooooooooooo! Why should we be surprised we get the needless details? Everyone in Starfield divulges all their personal information to you like you're their life-long best friend. I may not even get Shattered Space if this crap is dumped in there even more.

Hey Az! You, Nerdrotic, Geeks and Gamers, Ryan, Disparu, Shad, Drinker, Its a Gundam and all the gang have been such a joy for me over the past few years. Most of my gaming buddies from childhood have passed on recently and listening to you guys in your various shows always brings a smile to my face because your banter reminds me of all the years of fun around the DnD table or playing some video game with the boys. It reminds me of how Knights of the Dinner Table was so popular because everyone who played DnD could relate on some level and even though it wasn't your group, it seemed awfully close to your actual group. Your rants have caused me to laugh out loud so often. It makes me laugh harder when my wife or kids come to check on me. They always burst in to my workshop saying something like, "We heard yelling (you or Ryan or Shad or somebody) but also laughter (me). Are you ok?" I smile and say, "Never better!" Thanks for all the fun. I'm looking forward to many more years of listening. I say this in all seriousness. That rant got a lot of coverage and before it I had no idea who Az was.
That day I learned some things.
1) UA-cam actually has a wide breadth of voices and opinions and is actually worth exploring.
2) It was ok to say "actually I am not ok with this, it is bollocks".
3) I don't just have to listen to the woke mainstream media, others options are available.

Even goths back in the day had more to them than just being goth. It wasn't their entire personality. I was like half goth, and my gf of 4 years in HS was full on goth. It basically told people what kind of music you liked. That was about it(mainly because of the patches and band shirts we wore.)
The difference was goths weren't a protected class. Neither were nerds.(we were, and currently are both.)

Seeing Dunkey's reaction to the Starfield Rant in one of his videos was the nail in the coffin for Dunkey for me. The rant was completely justified and maybe stagfield should of had more time put into the game than pronouns.

These days whenever the topic of Bethesda made games comes up, I'm reminded of a line from a Razorfist video about Skyrim, where he said the Bethesda model of making games is going to completely collapse one or two games down the line, and here we are at the third game made by Bethesda since Skyrim. My Starfield experience was maybe 5 hours of gameplay, then 2 hours of looking around and tinkering with mods that might be able to salvage the game before giving up and uninstalling because there's no cure to a game that is boring at its core.
