As a content creator myself I can definitely relate to a lot of what you’re going through. Honestly, if I didn’t work from home I don’t think I would’ve put out nearly as many videos as I have, but I bet once you get settled in with the new career and the day to day of working from home, you’ll probably find yourself wanting to make more content again. And I definitely know how hard it is to put yourself out there, too. I suffer from social anxiety and stage fright, so I started making videos hoping being in front of a camera might help alleviate some of my fears, and I really do think it’s helped, so if you can find some sort of benefit to it, it always helps. At the end of the day if you’re not having fun making videos, then it’s just not worth it, even if it is helping to pay some bills. I’ve been making videos for well over 10 years, with various vehicles, and I only have a fraction of the subscribers you have, so you’ve definitely done something right, and all of us respect and appreciate the informative videos you’ve made on the Elantra N platform. Family and real life should always take priority over content creation. No doubt about it. I hope you find a work/life/UA-cam balance and find peace in your decisions going forward!

I have 14 years experience doing this. It never gets easier to sit in front of the camera. All of the pressure I feel from production has always proven to be a product of my own creation. Social media is not actually designed to make creators happy, but it doesn't have to get you down, either. It can. The way I deal with it is never expecting ad revenue to be the thing that supports my production or that feeds me, but most important of all by handling all the things outside of social media and my production that create actual pressure in my life first. If I've got that regulated, and don't let my channel be my first priority but rather a free-time happy-place escape, then the creative process is MUCH easier for me. It comes naturally. There's nothing wrong with your brand. You actually did a better job than I did with that. And you work very hard to engage your viewers. In fact, I've never done a giveaway, either. No merch, nothing. I just make documentaries of whatever it is I'm working on, and posting them whenever I feel they're good enough no matter what schedule or algorithm thinks I should do. If you chase the algorithms, you will be unhappy because you won't have any time left for your real, important, personal, happy life. Don't do that to your cars, yourself, or your family because the algorithms don't care if they suffer. The algorithms are actually completely unimportant in the bigger picture. Your audience will still be here waiting for your next installment whenever it's good and ready. Remember that you're Brandon, and that ENtense is something that Brandon ALSO does, and has done well.

All I can say is, your videos, in the simplest parts, have helped me so far in deciding to even get my own N, in intense blue particularly, as well as run through some immediate mods. I think it's more than acceptable to do as little as one vid per week or even once every couple weeks, and they don't have to be super long or very in depth and engaging. You can keep it simple, keep it as simple as showing how something is done and make it easy on yourself, I promise it'll be just fine with everyone that watches.

Hey Brandon! It's good to hear from you! I have a Kona N but ENtense has been my favorite N channel for the past year. I know about the difficulties of sitting in front of a camera...I worked in TV for 32 years! (ever seen Bob Ross, the bushy haired painter guy? I was part of the production crew but the closest I ever came to being on camera was taking his "critters" from him at the very beginning of the show. Occasionally, the hand off wouldn't go well and we'd have to start the show over!). Anyway, you do a great job. You speak well, you seem very relaxed and you really connect. Bob always said his secret was imagining one good looking woman sitting in front of her TV, and he was having a one on one conversation with her! You come across that way...well kinda...I think you get my drift! I'm an old dude...I'm 63, I have no family except my 2 daughters (2 daughters are great, don't you agree?) and a brother in North Carolina (I'm NE of Indianapolis). All my friends have either moved or died so I know how you feel in that regard. Don't feel stressed to produce content. I honestly wondered how you'd keep bringing the N content. I know a couple of other N channels that have died. I'd love to see you continue with your channel...showing us whatever is important to you at the time. Hobbies besides cars, (if you have any) or computer coding (just a guess...there aren't that many jobs one can do completely from home). Whatever you do, just relax and have fun...be happy! I haven't been subscribed long, but I have gone back and watched all the videos. I actually subscribe to 169 Designs also. I took interest in this little badass hot rod about 6 months ago, because I saw one hugging the rear bumper of a 392 challenger up on DC's beltway. They were obviously past the triple digit mark, but the N was hanging right there. Blew my mind when I saw Elantra on the rear. I was hooked! Since then, I've test driven 2 DCT's. Not a lot of inventory here in southwest Virginia. Really want to test a 6m. But point is... ever since I saw that car, and what it was capable of, I immediately started educating myself and well, found you and 169, and absolutely LOVE the insight and information you guys put out there. Local inventory is drying up, and quite honestly, I'm curious to see how the MY24 N will look like. Plus, I'm also looking at Stinger GT2 as a possibility. Just don't like that extra $20k. But you do an amazing job with it, and I appreciate it. Keep it at your own pace bro, because there's only one life and family and personal wellbeing is paramount. Hey man, I would suggest some therapy if you aren’t in already..you don’t need to face your problems by yourself. Talking it out can be extremely helpful. Sometimes you can’t talk about everything that bothers you with your closest people which doesn’t feel good.

I haven't been subscribed long, but I have gone back and watched all the videos. I actually subscribe to 169 Designs also. I took interest in this little badass hot rod about 6 months ago, because I saw one hugging the rear bumper of a 392 challenger up on DC's beltway. They were obviously past the triple digit mark, but the N was hanging right there. Blew my mind when I saw Elantra on the rear. I was hooked! Since then, I've test driven 2 DCT's. Not a lot of inventory here in southwest Virginia. Really want to test a 6m. But point is... ever since I saw that car, and what it was capable of, I immediately started educating myself and well, found you and 169, and absolutely LOVE the insight and information you guys put out there. Local inventory is drying up, and quite honestly, I'm curious to see how the MY24 N will look like. Plus, I'm also looking at Stinger GT2 as a possibility. Just don't like that extra $20k. But you do an amazing job with it, and I appreciate it. Keep it at your own pace bro, because there's only one life and family and personal wellbeing is paramount. Looking forward to whatever your future endeavors are! Cheers!

No need to explain Brandon! I can say that I’ve actually wondered why videos haven’t been made, but I definitely figured it was personal reasons. Keep putting your family first, they’ll be your biggest supporters on UA-cam. The rest can wait until you have the time! As far as the camera shy, it definitely takes time. I still have moments where I’m really shy on camera. I’ve been around since you started the channel, crazy to think you’re almost at 7k. That’s awesome!!

Hey man, I would suggest some therapy if you aren’t in already..you don’t need to face your problems by yourself. Talking it out can be extremely helpful. Sometimes you can’t talk about everything that bothers you with your closest people which doesn’t feel good.

@@ENtense gotcha. I know when I got married my wife reaped all my medical benefits from my job. Our auto insurance went down substantially since everything was packaged together with the house and such. Also we get a ton more back on taxes at the end of the year.
