- The Four Horsemen have invited the community to join them in a World Service Day build. Since the Guest Horseman for the month is my former fellow Three Blind Mice member Paul from Fat Guy Productions, who is a retired fire fighter, doing a restomod of an old Topper Johnny Lightning Flame Out casting seemed perfect. I hope you like the results!#fourhorsemendiecast #worldserviceday #firetruck #johnnylightning

Great restomod on yet another new casting for me. Never seen the Flame Out before, but it sure fits the World Service Day theme. I think the wheels made the biggest difference on this one. Fantastic work, Jim. You can be very proud of this project! Thanks for participating in another FH build. You old Blind Mice guys are everywhere! 🍁☕😀
Thanks so much Andrew! I almost went with replacement JL type wheels...but it just needed something more, so I went with these and liked the look -- I'm really happy to hear you think they made the biggest difference on it. Hope you and Petra have a great weekend! (P.S. - I'm hoping to make the Canada Day build...but I keep hitting little obstacles -- it's crazy saying this so far in advance, but I might be late to the show lol)
What a great build, and thanks so much for thinking of me as you do this. I'm super grateful!
Thanks Paul! Hope you're having a great weekend!
Gotta love an old Topper Johnny Lightning! The Flameout is very cool!
Thanks Ron! Yep, gotta love an old Topper JL!
My deepest respect for those who served in any Military, Police, Fire fighting, Life saving fields!
Love the way the firetruck came out!
Thanks GW!
Fantastic restomod 🌴👍👍😎🌴
Thanks David!
Beautiful 😍🔥🔥😎
Thanks Dane!
Love watching your videos Jim, your laugh makes me smile, I'm 59 yrs old and due to tremors in my hands and arms I can't participate in the hobby I still enjoy, thankyou again
Thank you so much! That's always my hope for the videos - that they're entertaining and fun to watch. Thank you for watching!
I noticed we mixed diecast company parts, and I enjoy the enhancements! Thank you for showing us the exhaust repair technique. I couldn't see the cracks on my screen, and I'm glad you noticed and taught us when to find them and when to handle them (before paint and assembly rather than after) I never noticed the bell in the front before, and I think going gold or brass makes that detail a highlight. A ringing goat is always a highlight! Have fun with your toys!
Thanks David! That bell on the front just seems to disappear into the stock casting...and as it doesn't have a lot of detail in the first place, I just had to bring it out.
Great work as always.
I have this casting.
I really like this car .
The wheels are gorgeous.
WOW !!!
Mike .
Thanks Mike! The casting was in real need of a wheel swap - the standard selection just didn't flatter the look at all. (Oh, thanks again for that darn soap car - that video has finally slowed down on the views a little lol)
😂😂
Wow better than the original!! Thanks for the ride jim !! See u in the death race!! Good luck!!
Thanks Eddie! Good luck to you too in the race!
Nicely done, Jim.
Those wheels are so good!
Thanks Uri! I'm really happy with the wheel change too - it looks more 'realistic" than the JL wheels.
That's awesome Jim. Great job.
Thanks Ron!
Gotta love those older JLs. Nice job on the resto-mod. Like those Real Riders. Thanks for joining in on this build. Would you call this a Fire engine, engine, engine? 😅
🤣🤣🤣 I guess so...good thing it doesn't have five engines 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks Skip!
👍 Thx 🇧🇪.
Thanks Rudi!
Nice job jim I luv that metalcast paint suff looks awesome out in the sun.red, purple an orange are my favs.👍🏻🍻😁
Thanks! I love the red and purple Metalcast paints too...but that darn orange always gives me a fight lol
Interesting casting, that one. and great result, too, love the wheels, too. you were right, they look so much better. :D
Thanks! Those original wheels just didn't help the casting at all.
Cool😊
Thanks Charlie!

Thanks Neil! It's an oldie but a goodie lol
This came out awesome! Makes me want to dig through my collection of JL's and resto one or two(with my own take on them). Great job!
Thanks Keith! You really should get into those JL's - the old Topper ones especially are just odd little castings. I have a bunch of crapped out ones still to tackle when I get a chance...and some are definitely getting the Wastelands treatment lol
Awesome video Jim. Great restomod of the Flame Out.😎
Thanks Armando!
It is looking awesome brother, now it can shown off for many more years. Good job brother.
