i really appreciate your videos and believe they should receive more attention. they help me to understand these figure a lot more because i struggle with comprehending these people and their ideas in my college humanities class. thank you so much!
This was very helpful to me! I am an online student and miss out on lectures and visual learning. Thank you so much for taking your time to make these!
For Rousseau's "The Social Contract", around 3:30, I think Rousseau takes a more positive perspective on the government than "a necessary problem", while Hobbes and Locke regard the government as a necessary evil? Could you explain that a bit?
Claiming property is resource efficient, you don't have to keep searching for the same basic resources every time you need it. Familiarity of surroundings also brings a sense of peace, unlike fear of the unknown. Other animals claim territory, not just man. I think Rousseau's view about the first man claiming land is too romantic.
if you start making videos again PLEASE get rid of the intro of get a tool to balance the volume decibel wise with your voice it is blaringly loud and obnoxious
You and Tom Richy have helped so much. Thank you

There has never been a group of people living in a pure state of nature without any culture.
5:20 sounds eerily similar to what many today refuse to see... democrat and republican (factions)
