It sounds like what you're describing is a cardiac cough reflex or sternutatory syncope. If you felt an urge to cough after, then I believe this might be the case. Palpitations are more often a pounding sensation with every beat, but it is also an umbrella term to cover heart beat related issues such as a feeling of skipped beats. I am not recommending anything here, just sharing what I know, I am glad Magnesium worked for you :)

Same. I had bad palpitations for about a month, doctor sent me to heart specialist, who couldn't find anything wrong, and offered no possible reasons why it was happening. It just happens, apparently. 🙈 He never mentioned Magnesium or any other minerals or vitamins. Went home, did research, and started taking Magnesium. Palpitations GONE. So much for the 'experts' 🤯

I was registering 30 thousand palpitations a day in 2017. I was 25. I wore a heart monitor for two weeks. Took an echo, no diformities found. Though, my heart is enlarged due to crazy drug use in my early twenties. I thought I was gonna die. I thought I had heart disease of some kind for sure. I was stressed to the max. I was losing my house, my girlfriend and my job fired me and I was flat broke. I went homeless for a couple months after that but I'm 31 now and the palps are gone for the most part. I get them here and there but not for a prolonged period of time. I got a therapist, finished my degree and got on some vitamins and started eating more salads and exercising a little more. The biggest thing that helps when you have them is to make yourself believe that you will get through this and that you're not gonna die. If you start believing this is the beginning of the end, then it might be. Choose to believe you will get better no matter how bad it gets!

Omg yes! I had palpitations for more than an hour. The ECG on my Apple watch even notified me that I might have AFib. I was so worried and scared & went straight to the emergency. They checked my blood pressure, ECG & took a blood test and the results came out fine.
I explained to them that I'm a heavy smoker, wondering maybe if that was the reason why I got the palpitations & the doctor didn't even bother to give a comment about that. He was just like "You're fine. The blood test results are all fine. Don't worry. There's no sign of a heart attack"

Diuretics, such as Furosemide, trade name Lasix and others flush out fluids from the body along with vital nutrients and electrolytes which, as stated, are necessary for maintaining heart rhythm. Pterostilbene, found in berries and grapes and also as a supplement, will flush out water but not the nutrients and electrolytes. Aquaretics, I found about 2 1/2 years ago is suppose to flush water only but I prefer the natural approach.

@@CYndibabI The RDA for Potassium is between 3500 mg and 4700 mg .....and the Potassium in OTC supplements is ONLY 99 mg ea as required by law .... AND LOW Potassium can definitely be associated with heart palpations - as that happened to me - as can low Magnesium.
Taking Magnesium supplements resolved a lot of problems - including palpitations AND muscle soreness and muscle cramps - and it is a very commonly used supplement that can even make one feel calmer. Do some research on it as there are different types.
I started taking "Magnesium Malate" about 2 years ago when I suddenly developed severe muscle cramps that would not stop with the other type of Magnesium I took. I looked up which Magnesium is best suited for Muscle cramps - and ordered *Magnesium Malate* - and FINALLY after 10 days of ongoing debilitating muscle cramps - the next day, after taking it, 90% of my problems were resolved with "Malate" that cheaper versions of magnesium could not " fix " ... and a few days later, these severe muscle cramps - WERE GONE.

I had heart palpitations almost every day for 2 and a half years following an emotional burn out. I was juggling a demanding full time job as well as being the main carer for my dad. I ended up with bad anxiety and that triggered the palpitations. I went from being healthy with no palpitations, to extreme anxiety, over sensitivity and strange electrical pulses down my spine. It was the worst time of my life and at one stage I thought it would never end. I also had extreme dread that something bad was always going to happen. I was also afraid to go out in the dark.
Thankfully I'm now on the road to recovery with palpitations only occasionally. The sensitivity has now gone and I am no longer afraid to go out at night. Incidentally I take magnesium daily.

I took it for a quite a few years never seeing a doctor or a cardiologist in all that time. Last summer I did a bit of research and found out that heart palpitations are quite common in menopause so I thought I would cut my pills in half and see what happens. Nothing changed so after 6 months I completely quit taking them and 5 months in I’m still fine. I’m sure I still have LBBB but symptom free as is the case in a few of my siblings. The changes I made were adding magnesium bisglycinate and upping my vitamin d3 to 5-10,000 mg per day along with K2 and daily exercise as well. I’m 64 now and feeling great ! I like to share how I finally got rid of my PVC's. More than 3 years I struggled with irregular heartbeats. I tried everything besides living an active and healthy life. My heart was examined by a cardiologist and found nothing abnormal but 24 hour holter test showed 10% of my heartbeats where irregular. That's a lot! After all this years I finally accepted them and learned to live with them although they are always in your chest and therefore in the back of your mind. Then out of nowhere I decided to stop taking my Centrum multivitamin that I was taking for all those years. Guess what, my heart completely came to rest, not all the way I mean but all the extra pulses originating in the ventricles stopped. I hope you can benefit from my experience. Been dealing with palpitations since I was 28. I’m 30 now. I had dizziness, short of breath , fainting , fatigue , palpitations & chest pain & my back as well. I was really really stressed out & thought I was gonna die.. i started taking magnesium & other vitamins you have talked bout in your vids & I’ve gotten a little better. I recently did. 4 screening test. Abdominal Aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease & my last one atrial fibrillation. The rest came out normal but atrial fibrillation came out I had bradycardia. I look it up & find out Is a slower than normal heart rate. . At the moment they were doing the screening my heart was 45 beats/min. And I used excessively workout 2-4 hours a day 7 days a week. For bout 3 years. Until I was getting all those symptoms at the gym & I felt I wasn’t getting enough oxygen. My uncle who’s a doctor where I’m from. Told me it could be that. Now I only go for bout an hour & I still feel kind the same & now I know now is do to my low heart rate. Do you have any advice or can you do a vid bout it. I’d really appreciate it.

I am turning 30 this July and have had the same symptoms since I was 27.
      Salt!!!!!
Not only potassium and magnesium (3 type )
      But salt!!!!!
It has fixed most of my issues
      I buy Celtic sea salt
I take a teaspoon in the am.
I put it on my foods during the day.
      And a teaspoon before bed.
I thought I was going to die
Turns out my slow heart rate and low blood pressure just meant I was someone who actually needed more salt.
      Some people are like that!
Took me 2 years to learn it!
Finally went to holistic doctor and she said some bodies just don’t absorb it very well- especially keeping up with it with working out and drinking a ton of water.
      She said salt everything

I had heart palpitations for years, probably 15 years. But when I saw your video on the importance of vitamin D, I got my vitamin D tested. It was at a level 4, which is extremely low. Once I started taking your vitamin D supplements, my levels increased. My level now is a 64 and I also don’t have palpitations anymore. I think a low vitamin D level may have a link to heart palpitations also.

It is reassuring that palpitations are more likely not a heart problem, especially when considering the many different things that can cause them. I've discovered that different things can trigger them in me with different quick remedies. On one occasion they would just not stop for maybe half an hour or so. Something told me to drink a glass of cold water. Gone in an instant. At the time I was working outside and it may have been a warm day. Sometimes I get them when going to bed and lying on my side, somewhat squashing my rib cage, and probably having eaten something too late. I re-position to take the pressure off my chest, and poof, gone.

Hello doctor, I want to let you know about a situation where I had a digestive issue, causing me to have anxiety, rapid heart, extreme fatigue and a week of green poop.
I initially, did what you suggested (which is a great remedy) and upped my B1 vitamin. I also took betaine for each meal. Unfortunately, this did not work at removing my green poop.
But one thing I do as a habit when I feel sick or off, I will sit down and write down what I did in the last 24-48 hours. Where did I go? What activities did I do? And I’m looking for anything out of the ordinary that could have caused my illness. And this time “one thing” stuck out.
I went to the chiropractor. And while there, I was placed on a table with a vertebrae decompression device. This device wraps around your head and gently stretches the neck.
It was right after this visit, that my poop turned green and all the other issues showed up.
After a week the green poop went away. Then I did some decompression again. And sure enough, my green poop came back.
So searched green poop and spine decompression. And there it was! I was getting green poop from aggravating my Vagus nerve.
I have stopped doing the decompressions. And now focusing on being kind to my Vagus nerve, with help from your videos. And I’m back to good.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

It's easy to get burned out if you have coffee first thing in the morning because you already have hormones in your blood, such as epinephrin and cortisol. It's best to wait until mid-morning, when that wears off and you may naturally feel the effect of those hormones reducing. I get up around 5 AM and typically don't have my first cup of coffee until around 9:00 or 10:00. I typically have two or three cups a day, and I'm not very caffeine sensitive. I do drink a lot of tea, but not before exercise.

Found this video while on a quest to get down to the bottom of my PVC's ! I'm 49, likely peri-menopausal but didn't want to blame my sudden onset of PVC's (more than 10 a minute for the last month!) on hormones alone. Unlike most of America, I exercise frequently, eat pretty healthy, maintain a good weight, do not smoke, but I do have a high stress shift work type job (work on a medevac helicopter) that I've always thought was the cause of some insomnia issues. I have no health issues, thyroid is normal, take no medications. I always work to stay hydrated but have never taken supplements. I know that PVC's are usually nothing to worry about but TODAY, I had enough. While I was driving, i had so many PVC's i was pre-syncopal and decided to come home to make an appointment with my primary MD. I won't be able to get in for weeks. So I saw this video and tried an electrolyte supplement from Dr. Berg that my boyfriend had purchased recently (120 mg per serving). I double dosed it--- within 20 minutes I am down to just 1-2 every minute and felt better. The ones I do feel are less intense. Of course, with this little experiment, I can not make any definitive conclusion just yet, but I will take this once a day over the course of the month and evaluate from there. ANYWAY, thank you for this! It is worth a try at least for all of you sufferers out there.
