Ace or Signature Pokemon tend to be a significant member of many trainer's Pokemon teams! Whether it's Ash-Greninja or Lucario for Ash in the anime, to Pikachu or Charizard for Red in the games! Gym Leaders, Champions, Elite 4 Members, Rivals, Evil Team Leaders and all sort of other Pokemon Trainers. Sometimes characters are even defined by these special Pokemon that they own. Usually these ace Pokemon come from the generation that the trainer debuted in, but what if these trainers had access to Pokemon of every generation? Would their signature Pokemon be the same as the ones they have then? Or would they have a different one? I wanted to ask that question, and in today's video... I go about giving all the Elites 4 Members and Champions from every Pokemon League new Signature Pokemon!

For Leon's ace, hear me out: Druddigon. Druddigon is based on the Welsh dragon, which even appears on the Welsh flag. Leon is from Postwick, which clearly has Welsh influences in its aesthetic and feel. Therefore, it only makes sense that his ace is a Welsh dragon.

Poor Druddigon has been shafted for quite a while. I like the design influences it has as well, even though many people may consider it to be an unappealing Pokemon.

Champion Iris looks way too much like a Fairy-type Trainer to me, with that massive Disney Princess dress and cutesy battle theme.
So it would make sense to give her the only Dragon/Fairy Pokémon in existence.
Of course, as stated in the video, her anime counterpart has a Dragonite on her team.
So while I disagree with the choice, it does add more credibility to the idea.

Slaking would also fit to be Alder's ace. It's strong, sturdy and has a free-spirited vibe to it.
Plus it fits his shtick of pokemon that look like real animals

Incineroar and Hawlucha for Kukui doesn't seem like a bad idea considering how they all share the wrestler aesthetic. But for me, Incineroar would be his main ace while Hawlucha would be his second in command. Dusk form Lycanroc with Kukui could kinda represent Kukui taking care of Ash's Dusk Lycanroc since Ash ain't in Alola anymore. If there are any further Alola remakes, having Kukui with Incineroar, Hawlucha and Dusk Lycanroc in one team would just be *amazing*

I completely understand why you had to give Leon Aegislash as the alternative, even though it's lackluster haha! Leon is pretty much a king in Galar and Aegislash belongs to those high class royalty (Kings), as well as Aegislash being an adaptable type Pokemon going from offensive to defense. An alternative to the alternative you could've gone with for Leon are Cinderace (They share shorts), Infernape, Haxorus, Arcanine, or Garchomp. Great video and yeah this would be some work to think of. Safe travels for your editor as well!

But, anyway, I imagine in the alternate scenario where Aegislash was Leon's ace that it could really work out well, since the HP boost from Dynamaxing would be pretty beneficial to it, and it would be required to have a Gigantamax, which could have a very interesting exclusive G-Max Move, that's representative of both Sword Forme and Shield Forme.
The perfect Pokémon for Elite Four Marshal should be Scrafty. I’m surprised they never gave him a Scrafty in any of his teams. Scrafty is a Fighting/Dark type and it’s baggy pants matches Marshal’s perfectly.
If caitlyn has hatterene, I personally believe that Grimsley should have grimmsnarl

For Leon I say give him one of the Galar Slowpokes. It fits ingame and the Galar slowpoke is known for its speed, which could lead to both of them getting lost

I think dragonite also works. It stated as the sea incarnate and it lays eggs in the sea and also battles with kingdra and leads lost sailors to shores. Also instead of mermaid statues being at the bows of ships, it's dragonites. So overall fits with the pirate theme very well
I'd say give Leon Dragapult, as it's common for champions to have Pseudo Legendary Aces.
But I don't think it fits

Why not give Phoebe Alolan Marowak? I think it makes a lot more sense. It’s still from Alola. It dances as seen in Kiawe’s trial. And it’s a ghost type.

I think that Skarmory would also work as Kahili’s ace, since it’s also based off a condor. Plus, both it’s steel typing and color scheme look good with Kahili’s theming and design.

I think Mimikyu fits agatha, because they both appear nice, but are actaully quite sinister and evil. Also I think a Ghost Fairy really fits her, and she could have made friends with it by making its Costume. Just imagine Mimikyu and Agatha Snuggling!!

Honestly if you are making a final video where you cover all of them, I'd like it if you showed us both a version where everyone got a different Pokemon and one where everyone has the pokemon that you feel is perfect, regardless if its their old ace or not.
Hoping admins are included in the evil team video and not just the leaders. I know it's more work and more people to consider, but I'm really liking this series.

When you said the only other ace for Leon, I was like Aegislash Aegislash Aegislash, then you said Aegislash, I was like yes I knew it.
For Kahili's team, I'd actually replace the Crobat she has with a Braviary and replacing Skarmory with Pelipper, to maintain the Eagle and Albatross naming. Although, Skarmory being a steel type fits more the associations with Jasmine and the coastline.
Maybe her Oricorrio could've been the Electric type to fit with how Golf is a sport?
I would have given Marshal a Scrafty. The color scheme and baggy pants, it's a perfect fit
Also for Lance i feel like making his Charizard mega evolve into mega charizard x his ace could be cool as it could represent him being a dragon master whose pokemon are mostly flying types
I feel like a great ace for Alder could either be snorlax or Slaking as they fit with him being a strong trainer but also in the anime he is known for sleeping in the middle of battle so thats my reason
I'd give Leon either:
Corviknight, for its regal appearance (and because you can catch its base form just outside of Leon's hometown). Or,
Dragapult, for being a family-oriented Pseudo-Legend. And because he already owns one anyway.
Both of those fit him way better than Charizard. At least in my opinion.
The only issue with Corviknight is that Hop uses a G Max one, and if they make it an ace, they'd want it to be a unique G Max, also ruling out Dragapult.

And Hop's ace should be split between his Wooloo and whichever Starter he picked at the beginning of the game.

For drake, I think dragalge is better suited for him than kingdra. Dragalge Pokédex claims that it has a long history with sunken ships and sailors. That might suit him better rather than being just a water type dragon alone along with drake being a sailor/ ship captain

I just realized that I think that Oricorio sensu form would fit Phoebe
I feel like Cursola would fit better for phoebe. Sure, it's not from a tropical region... but it's basically dead coral. big coral reefs are most oftenly seen in tropical regions. on top of that, it's dead and thus ghost type. it gives her character some more depth (under-water pun intended), due to also her flowers in her hair; tropical, ghost specialist, caring for nature.
or else, if you REALLY have to give her an alolan pokemon; oricorio sensu-style would fit much better. it's a ghost type from a tropical region that dances. while you might argue it doesn't fit as well because it's sensu-style and not pa'u-style: let's not forget that Hoenn is a japanese region, so sensu-style (which I am pretty sure is a japanese dance style) gives her a connection to both the tropical hawaii side AND the traditional japanese side.

I think Alder's personality and lack of a type specialty would lead to a good substitute in Terrakion. I can just really see the two together.

i feel like i sounded a bit mean with my comment about roark last video so sorry for that. glad you liked it enough to feature it in the video, tho! i only really have one suggestion for improvement, about karen.
karen's speech is all about using pokemon you like rather than pokemon you think are good, so giving her a pokemon that's as strong as tyranitar kinda feels like it contradicts that. i think mightyena and houndoom fit the "tough and wild" image pretty well, but umbreon might be more realistic since it's a very popular pokemon, so it's more likely she'd enjoy using it more than other pokemon.
Karen’s ace should be absol. It fits well with her trying to change people’s opinion on dark types and absol being hated for the wrong reason

Personally, if you hadn't given it to Roark, I would've given Mega Aggron to Wikstrom. I feel like it fits the "suit of armor" aesthetic better than Scizor/Steelix do, and I have no idea why the anime gave him Mega Scizor instead of this.
