Great work as always! Enjoyed all the testing! Seems like most of your issues will be resolved with some slicer tuning. Seems like a decent machine so far! Can’t wait to see what more you do with it!
I have not seen a review about how the creality app works with this printer. I don’t have a creality printer, but downloaded the app once and it looked like an ad riddled garbage app. I know this is secondary, but this is a function I often use with my X1C and at least for me, is one of the reasons that keep me from moving to the K2+.
Great review Tripod! Seems that you did a lot more testing than most others. Outside of the Panda prints, the others looked great! Definitely looks to be the model.
@@Firstleaker Thanks! Looks like the Creality haters are coming full force 😂. Amazes me that people have nothing better to do but to search for videos just to talk trash and downvote. Just think one can do more with their time.
John, looks like the best Creality printer yet. Love the reference to Taco Bell, I think many of us have had a similar experience. Will be interesting to see how this holds up.
@@woodwaker1 Taco Bell had to be added 😂. Yeah, I will be using this printer a lot for a new build. Let’s see how it performs! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Nice review. Bambu Lab X1 Carbon is on sale at the time this was posted, so it's actually cheaper than the K2. I do like the tried and true linear rails on the X axis over the carbon rods, however, the verdict may still be out on the carbon rods. Your video volume was a bit low.
Yeah, X1C and K2 were competitively priced for a moment 😂. I do like the linear rails over the carbon rods. I played the video on 3 platforms before posting. Odd 🤔
@@TripodsGarage Are you using a meter to check the volume levels? You should be targeting -15 to -10 db for dialog. This video's coming in around -25 to -20 db.
X1C owner here. The X1C is amazing and everything, the bad part of this printer is the print volume and for me this printer is a little bit over price, I can’t imagine how much is going to cost the new printer of Bambu Labs. I love Bambu Labs ecosystem to be honest, really user friendly. But, the K2 got all my attention only for the price, and I think for the first time Creality is doing a good job on this printer
Hi, I am curious, where can I find the panda model and the other dumpster stl? I want to compare my K1 to this one and see how big difference I have with it compared to this printer
My CFS gets to 33c just from sitting ontop of the printer and its currently at 6% to 7% relative humidity from placing a 1lb bag of desicant in the 4th roller area plus the 2 desicant bags inside the desicant cavities. Watched this video because I'm trying to track down some z-banding, but it might just be my machine.
Wow that was a good size comparison with the ender 5 plus. The ender 5 isn't small by no means and the K2 plus is a monster next to it. The dumpster was cool, shout out to Steven Lightspeed. Great video buddy
Yeah, it was a good place to put the printer for people to possibly get a size comparison. I am going to reinforce the printer cart 😆. The dumpster came out great! The Light Speed does some fantastic print in place files! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
+1 on open sourcing RFID. manufacturers could work together to standardise then either filament manufacturers could add RFID to their filament or you could add RFID tags yourself to any roll and program it yourself
Nice Video! That file on the Panda being messed up sucks but that dumpster was amazing quality. The Benchy and knitted character were great! How long until the community finds a way to add reptile heaters and hygrometer to the CFS? I want to print a glass height extension/ vent for the top of the printer to keep the teflon filament tube from rubbing when mine arrives. I am still patiently awaiting mine.
Many thanks for watching and commenting. Seems that you are one of the few that actually watched the whole video to see the prints. While the trolls just watch long enough to post a comment. If people watch my Ender 5 Plus PSU video or the CR6SE video, they would realize that I have not had a good run with Creality. However, people have their camps...
Looks like a great printer, with the exception of all that wasted product… I think the benefit of multicoloured prints will rapidly lose its appeal with the continuous expense of wasted filament. The market should be looking at less wasteful options for multicolour while retaining simplicity, affordability and reliability. If Bamboo releases what people hope their next printer will be it’s possible this Creality printer with have a very short moment in the spotlight. So given the expense of these things I’ll wait for the first quarter of ‘25 to end before I’d commit to anything.
Even with owning 4 Bambu printers, 3 of them with AMS, I find myself using less of colors. Most of the time I will try to save the color for a name plate or something that is simple and flat, that doesn't require that many filament swaps.
Anyone else feel like they are holding a grudge against creality for owning the market for so many years and doing nothing with it? Look what creality came up with after Bambu forced their hand. I don’t know if I could purchase this printer.
Junk printer, I just returned mines after only 2 weeks of use. For $1500+ I expected more from Creality. Nothing but issues from my experience, got me mad asf! Filament jammed/clogs, blown extruder, faulty flament runout sensor, retraction issues, wifi issue, tons of error codes, I could go on and on. And before anyone say it's user error, it wasn't. Creality just haven't learn anything from their past failures ala K1 series. Welp, I'll be saving my money for Bambus next large printer.
I don't think it's user error.. you just sound like you either rolled it down your stairs or are a serious bambu fanboy. XD This printer is not perfect by any stretch but there are alot of reviews saying it's pretty darn good. If you aren't just a bambu plant then I am sorry for your bad luck cause that's a crazy number of things to go wrong with a single unit in one week

@@TheSucc33d Hardware wise they have made at least 4 big mistakes. The long hotend that will clog way to easy is the biggest one. The heavy bed with just two screws is the second. Subpar printer. The prints look good compared to a ender sure. But nowhere near the quality you can get from bambu everyday. Shoot the cobra max print better then that for Half the price.
They are sending PLA since PLA is the only material that works in the machine. It is worthless on the materials that needs a chamber like ABS, everyone just get clogs. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of the printer.
