04:43... took at the hair. DJI wins on detail on close spectrum. Ace pro is a bit pixelized and looks like recorded by a phone... GoPro no good as it blew it on the close up, but far/dept it gave more/better details which can be edited better than the other two... For hight light gopro won except for the sky which was a bit over exposed...
I have a GoPro 12 and a few of their older models i don't use anymore. I bought an insta 360 x4 when it released and while i can definitely tell a difference in the quality on the GoPro... Especially if you need to frame in on something. The 360 camera is just so wonderful not worrying if you are capturing whatever it is. If it's recording, it's getting it. But then there's the drawback of having to do more work in post. Both cameras have their place, but I've been reaching for the 360 camera so much more than i ever thought i would. Going to wait another year before I buy another one of these action cameras and probably buy most every generation of a 360 camera (which will probably be insta bc i like the desktop and mobile app). I love the competition, pushing things forward!!!
The thing for me about low light with these isn’t night time darkness but rather deep shade. The GoPro so easily falls apart if you’re just hiking in a forest. Lots of noise and blur issues from the stabilization fighting the frame rate. You really need to customize the settings to make it useable, and it still might not work out. I’m really curious how the others would hold up doing things in deep shade. I think they’d have to do dramatically better. Maybe not osmo pocket 3 good, but they have to be better than GoPro.
2 questions. What’s the battery life like on the insta360. And which one would deal best with freezing temperatures? I’m going up to the arctic in April for a dog sledding expedition so looking for something that can deal with really low temperatures ☺️
I do automotive Reviews - I get a new press car each week. I have used a gopro with a Rode Mic for awhile, and here in Phoenix area, it over heats in 10 minutes. Beyond annoying. Out of the DJI and Insta - which one last's the longest in the heat? And I know DJI can use 2 wireless Mic's. What about the insta 360, can it use a wireless mic?
Does DJI and Insta have something similar to GoPro's magnetic charging port for long timelapse outside (where you can connect to a battery pack in all weather?)
Thoughts on which one would have an advantage for snowboarding if I also use a insta360 for my 360 shots? It would most be clipped to a chest harness or helmet mount. Gopro batteries never last.
Defo picking the action 5 as my first action camera… it is the cheapest of the bunch, most (useful) features/accessories for the money you pay, better screen and it’s the lightest, which is important since I’m putting it on a helmet
Kind of a random question, but I have an 8 year old, that has been asking for a "gopro" now for a long while. We are wanting to get her one but I'm unsure which direction to go! She likes all sorts of things, roller coasters, making fun videos, underwater, etc. I thought first of the Gopro Hero 4k but that doesn't have image stabilization, then I saw this video and saw the other two brands. From a pro photographer and a very novice videographer, why is 10 bit so important? I know it gives you more latitude with color grading and such but I haven’t ran into any issues with the ace pro 2 so far in that regard. Even in very challenging conditions like a nice blue gradient sky. I get no banding at all even when I play with the colors. What am I missing? Thanks.
Looks like there’s some problem’s with the ace pro 2. Everything related to the camera is out of stock everywhere in the eu, across all major camera stores. The plot thickens!
So I'm just starting the video but I wish you mentioned what frame rates you used the beginning of the video, what formats, profiles, settings, etc (bit rate, FOV, neutral, log, etc). Even if people aren't big on image quality and use default stuff, it'd still be helpful to know and just transparency in general to know you did the minimum for fairness. But thanks, nonetheless.

GoPro 12 sells for 420 usd (the dual battery pack version) and GoPro 13 with no extra battery sells for same 420 usd. Osmo action 4 adventure pack sells for 450 usd. Im actually confused of choosing a simple but cinematic with wide angle cam My contenders are: Insta360 x4 Ace pro 2 Dji action 5 pro Dji pocket 3 My usage are 1. Cinematic real estate indoor videos 2. Travel 3. eveyday use for architectures project What i need: - smooth stabilization, indoor some low light situation - great hdr sensor cuz low light room with bright window usually the case - super wide angle for indoor use What i think it can work for me - so EIS usually works bad in low light situation but i found using gyroflow with my avata 2 can work great cuz it uses motion data Thats why im thinking of dji action 5 or ace pro 2; they both can use gyroflow - im actually also interested in X4 360 camera cuz it has WIDE angle lens= better EIS But it dosent able to use gyroflow and bad lowlight sensor and not too great for making cinematic - it got me thinking! What if i use gyroflow with dji action 5 pro / ace pro 2 so i can get better stabilization, no jerky EIS in low light, wnd also wider angle Please help me on this 😁
Unfortunately, if you use multiple cameras in log and color grade the Ace Pro takes a hit without 10 bit color since real professional cameras all have at least 10 bit including your 2 main competitors. The Ace Pro needs to remove the “Pro” from its name. GoPro needs some feature upgrades, but for daytime cinematic results, it still rules. And I don’t mean the 13 because the 12 is the same camera without a few auto lenses.
If u gonna take night laps off the stars, Milky Way and Aurora, is the Insta Ace pro 2 the one u recommend?:) or do u have a better camera for that use? Timelapse, aurora laps, night laps is what I want to do an think is the coolest
Even thou gopro is lacking on innovation behind this other two cams, it still has the most pleasing picture, color, softness and highlight rolloff. Looks most filmic from all of the three cams. Would still choose gopro hands down
Honestly, what time to be alive when we have three action cameras to choose from, and all with unique advantages. I would've decided to go with the GoPro, but the extra lenses aren't something I'm too keen on hauling around, even if they're small. I like the idea of one and done camera; to be quick and compact to set up and get on the go. The Ace Pro 2 seems like the best of the bunch, but the DJI offers the best bang for the buck.
Thank Ben for this PRACTICAL video review of GoPro 13, DJI Action 5 Pro and Insta360 Ace Pro 2. I love it when you say it's NOT SPONSORED. One question please. Does the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 requires the user to download a mobile app and register his camera before being allowed to use it just like the Ace Pro 1 and DJI Action 5 Pro? This is a huge PRIVACY concern for me. GoPro does not require this. Thanks again.
If I am looking for soccer recording while on self wearing and recording sometimes as well which one is more suitable please ?? Between gopro 13 and insta 360
Ok bro this a great comparison vid. I'm done with GoPro though, I think,. The first one kept overheating - black 8 nothing but issues. They did send me the new black 9 at no extra charge other than pay for shipping. Well this one now is falling apart all the rubber is coming off around the edges of the camera. It's not been abused in anyway other than we live in Mexico where its hotter than he** some days. Ya the low light with GoPro sux big time. Just wonder what the DJI is like in the Mexico sun. I just feel it's time to cut my losses and move on to a new brand of action camera. I need one that is waterproof with good stabilization and it looks like the DJI Action 5 is the one for me SO FAR. HAHA Again great vid sir and cheers from 2 Canadians living in Mexico. ✌🏽
I am in the market. Thanks for the video. I’ve watched many comparisons. I do like the DJI Action5 for overall image quality, looks less processed to me, not to mention the battery will last for like 3 hours.
Is there any jittering in low light super night mode while shooting at 4k 30fps or 60fps, as I had a lot of jittering when making low light footage using the Osmo Action 4?
AcePro2 features a dedicated underwater shooting mode snd has been develop together with in-depth feedback and professional diver user experience to bring out the best underwater footage. And there's a designated dive case for more demanding scenarios underwater
Happy with my Action 5 Pro purchase, thanks. Don't need 8K, don't need all the fancy AI editing tools and the low light from the Action 5 Pro is just as good as the Ace Pro 2 if you get off the auto mode and set it up properly for lowlight. And the Ace Pro 2, in this lowlight scene, seemed to be creating light that wasn't there. A dark room is a dark room, right?
The low light on the insta360 is incredible ( LEICA) being the lense manufacturer is kinda getting my attention... I am in a dilemma .. please help guys . Which kne should i get
DJI has the Clearest Audio, but i like how gopro implement their mounting system which dji is suppose to be the 1st to do that cause they are the 1st do the magnet system mount. the Insta 360 is like future proofing if compare to other due to 8k + better low light.
The image quality is a bit better by ACE pro 2, but I prefer AC5 pro because of the dual screen and ease of use. Besides, ACE pro 1 is still very good, I think those who already own it do not need to upgrade to ace pro 2
Why? Other than low light ability (yeah, because everybody buys action cams to shoot in a pitch black room), what do you think is so bad about the gopro when compared to the others?
@@MTB_FPV I did and I ask again. Other than low light capabilities, how is this end game for the goprk. Ben himself, despite the free pre production "not sponsored" disclaimer, didn't imho demonstrate that either one of the other cameras ended gopro's game. You might prefer the ace pro 2 or the OA5 but that's personal preference.

oh that's sad to hear, they bump the fps for 4k and 8k but they can't do 10 bit
@@Trabelables Agree :/
For the résolu it's gonna be a bigest difference for seeing the difference between 4 k and 8k if the vid is at maximum 2k
under 50 k which one action camera best??? pls reply
Dji
@@juiciness thanks for your reply bro🙏🙏
Is the OA5 Pro on its latest firmware and High bitrate in these tests?
Its so hard to choose but that low light might be the deal breaker on my first action cam.
Could you please compare the ultrawide iphone 16 pro with the insta ace pro 2? I want to know which one is better in “fisheye”
Which has better sense of speed for racing videos?
Im actually confused of choosing a simple but cinematic with wide angle cam
My contenders are:
Insta360 x4
Ace pro 2
Dji action 5 pro
Dji pocket 3
My usage are
1. Cinematic real estate indoor videos
2. Travel
3. eveyday use for architectures project
What i need:
- smooth stabilization, indoor some low light situation
- great hdr sensor cuz low light room with bright window usually the case
- super wide angle for indoor use
What i think it can work for me
- so EIS usually works bad in low light situation but i found using gyroflow with my avata 2 can work great cuz it uses motion data
Thats why im thinking of dji action 5 or ace pro 2; they both can use gyroflow
- im actually also interested in X4 360 camera cuz it has WIDE angle lens= better EIS
But it dosent able to use gyroflow and bad lowlight sensor and not too great for making cinematic
- it got me thinking! What if i use gyroflow with dji action 5 pro / ace pro 2 so i can get better stabilization, no jerky EIS in low light, wnd also wider angle
Please help me on this 😁
Unfortunately, if you use multiple cameras in log and color grade the Ace Pro takes a hit without 10 bit color since real professional cameras all have at least 10 bit including your 2 main competitors.
That's the only one I would recommend.
Its perfect.
The Ace Pro 2 shines even more after dark
I don't know. I think DJI. Looks like the best and it is the newest
I wonder what the Ace pro 3's going to look like
Even thou gopro is lacking on innovation behind this other two cams, it still has the most pleasing picture, color, softness and highlight rolloff. Looks most filmic from all of the three cams. Would still choose gopro hands down
Action pro 5 is clear winner 🥇
What are you talking about? His skin is literally yellow the whole video from the gopro terrible color lmao
@@josephbareski6931 bro...

HAHA
Again great vid sir and cheers from 2 Canadians living in Mexico. ✌🏽
Looks like the only feature significantly outweigh others is weight. I will go with DA5 pro, thanks~
Which one is best for underwater, scuba diving etc...?
Same here! Say bye to my GoPro Hero 12 to Action 5.
Crazy how detailed the RayBan Meta glasses clips are.😯
The low light on the insta360 is incredible ( LEICA) being the lense manufacturer is kinda getting my attention... I am in a dilemma .. please help guys . Which kne should i get
Def AcePro2 with 2 battery bundle!
And you even get gesture commands to take photos or start/ stop recording as well as the usual voice commands
Does Insta360 Ace Pro 2 has log mode and 10bit codec? What is bitrate for video?
Waiting for this to answer
@@KonstantinA27films No. Ace Pro 2 is only 8-bit.
@@QuicknStraight It is a pity. Not for me then.
hi ben, could you please to activate the CC option
End game for go pro company😂😂😂
They probably will return next year. But this year they lost :(
Why? Other than low light ability (yeah, because everybody buys action cams to shoot in a pitch black room), what do you think is so bad about the gopro when compared to the others?
@@TheForeigner68 did you watch the full review? Guess not.
@@TheForeigner68 overheating and working time is better on dji. Don't know about ace pro 2 yet
Nice video I wanna get 2/3 to flim Dj sets what would you recommend?
No 10-bit color, weighs heavier than competitors, no larger sensor, no cloud storage /upload and delete option like go pro, and this year one less "budget model" released. No significant updates from insta 360 at all!
I am looking to get a Dji action camera I have a GoPro and what that bigger image sensor I wanted opinion on which one I should get the Dji action 4 or 5 pro.
5 pro
Leaning towards Ace pro 2. What tripod and tripod head is that ? Thx.
What timestamp was it?
Could have been the multi mount?
Action 5 has the problem with color red? it is too red
The AcePro is not durable. The screen will crack if you use it for motorcycling.
Under water test? GoPro will still win.
Thank you! You just help me made my decision, DJI it is! 😁
