Fun fact: they're not lonely, they're in a structurally unsound building. Certain buildings produce something called infrasound, which is sound so low that it causes hallucinations and a sense of paranoia in humans. It's speculated that this is 1) an adaptation in humans to drive them away from large predators, thunderstorms, and unstable geography (which all produce infrasound), and 2) an explanation for haunted houses (combined with gas leaks and the like)

Grapes, at least from Ron's perspective, is about people taking charge of their own future. They've been screwed over by the banks and the economy.
When they get to California, they find that the land of milk and honey is basically an illusion. They try to make a go of it at one of the camps, but the government regulations are strangling them.
The story ends with the Joads realizing they can't count on the people in charge. All they can do is help others who have also been destroyed by the System.
Anyway, that's my interpretation of Ron's interpretation.

Here’s a recipe for my steak Marinade, very simple, very delicious.
First you season the steaks with Salt pepper, garlic and onion powder. Let it sit before you cook it.
Once you cooked your steaks go ahead and put the following ingredients into the cast iron pan which you cooked the stakes on or something similar for the marinade.
    -2 green bell peppers.
    -3 yellow chili peppers
    -2 whole ripe tomatoes
-i typically throw in some butter while it’s cooking, but milk helps too for extra flavor and thickness of the sauce.
-while the veggies are boiling go ahead and season it with whatever you like, I use seasoned salt and onion powder.
Keep it on a low fire cause you want all the juices to come out of the veggies.
You could do all of this and marinate the steaks before cooking them, but I usually don’t and it turns out just fine.
Anyway I’ve been cooking it like that for years and from what I hear from those who tried it they really liked it. Anyway enjoy.
