    환상적인 여행입니다. 몇 년 전 스위스에 살 때 나와 아내가 자동차로 다닌 길들을 당신들은 멋진 자전거로 달렸군요. 나도 자전거로 다시 한 번 달려보고 싶지만... 이 나이가 되니 이제 내 무릎이 장거리 자전거 여행을 지지해주지를 않는군요.

      Glad you enjoyed it! I made the animated route map with Da Vinci Resolve, which we use for all of our video editing. I found the following video to be a great breakdown of how to do it:

    Great video. On this part of the trip, how much of it was on roads that you have to share with cars and how much on trails? Did you have any trouble with people that were in cars getting too close to you? I'm biking the Danube again and am looking for other places to ride. Not a big fan of being on the road where cars room. I've had too many close calls here in California. All the best

    • @RollingExistence
      @RollingExistence  2 роки тому +2

      In Switzerland we were mostly on small roads that were shared with cars, but the traffic was usually very low. Occasionally we'd be on bike paths - maybe 15% of the time. There was one mountain pass in particular that was also a popular scenic drive, and going down the switchbacks with cars passing was kind of frustrating. But overall the drivers were really courteous and gave us plenty of space.

    Greetings - I’ve been following you for some time now. I’m very intrigued about your late summer/winter/spring travel. Can you provide a few milestone dates from the trip - I know you started in May 2021? There is a lag time between your posting and the completion of your trip legs I presume. Thanks very much and Happy Travels! Charlo

      Hi there! Yes, there is some lag time between our ride sections and our videos. Especially when we're riding through more expensive countries and rarely staying in hotels, we sometimes get behind on video editing. We've been meaning to add more specific dates to our video descriptions as well. We spent the fall and early winter riding through the Balkans - Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, and Albania. We took about a month off in November/December in Croatia. We then rode Greece and Southern Italy/Sicily/Sardinia in late winter before heading to Spain in March.

      @@RollingExistence Thank you for the reply. I very much enjoy watching your trip and it coincides with a train/Brompton trip I took in southern Spain this past January. Your description of the travel in Sardinia sounds just great and the idea of starting something in Sicily or Sardinia in January and then taking the ferry to Barcelona for a Spanish trip to San Sebastian is strongly on my list. BTW, I’m a 2019 Surly Disc Trucker rider and I’ve covered some of your route in Switzerland in 2020. This summer, I’ll follow your tracks on the Loire for a couple of weeks from Nantes to Jura Mountains! Safe travels to you both - Charlie

      We did 940 km total in Switzerland (that includes Part One and Two). We never had any problems with the police, we were very careful to stay hidden, be respectful, and pack out all our trash.

    Nice video guys and what a beautiful part of the world to be cycling in. I'm curious to know how comfortable do you find the Moloko handlebars for touring. I have a pair on my Surly ECR but I've never used them over a long distance. Take care and ride safe. JP

    • @RollingExistence
      @RollingExistence  3 роки тому +1

      They're actually Jones bars, which are very comfortable for touring. The wide grip is nice for handling, and different hand positions are good for long days. We've done some shorter tours on Moloko bars when we had ECRs. They're pretty similar, though not quite as wide as Jones bars.

      @@Biking360 In the first two videos we made on this tour from the PNW, our friend was with us and riding an ECR with the Moloko bars. He was using 29x2.5 surly extraterrestrials instead of the stock 29x3.0 knards because we were mostly on pavement. He did 2,200 miles with us and loved the ECR/Moloko combo.

      لم نقم في أي معسكرات في سويسرا ، كنا نخيم البرية طوال الوقت. مواقع المعسكرات عادة ما تتقاضى رسومًا لكل شخص وتكون أغلى في سويسرا من بقية أوروبا. تتفاوت الأسعار ولكن متوسط سعر الفرد يتراوح بين 30 و 40 يورو على الأرجح.
