I have always found the wording of Liebe “cursing” the devils a bit weird, but I chalked it up to translation shenanigans. This is probably my favourite theory of yours and it would go very well with the one about Megicula coming back as an important character, nice one!
@@Br0kumegicula is noelle and the female knight leader ironically and Astaroth has his quota to send them to underworld. Astaroth and Lucifero rivalry off the chart. With Asta had two reincarnation of lucifero in his side which is Yami and Yuno.
Funny thing is thats exactly what Gordons father was talking about. Using the power and knowledge of curse magic to do good by the world. Gordon was prejudiced against his familys practice and was proven wrong after he finally decided to listen to his dad. It would make for a good 1 to 1 scenario, the idea was already setup ages ago
I always thought Megicula being the "creator of curses" a bit weird, but if curse power is its own category separate from mana it makes a lot more sense. It also makes her place as the replacement of "Time" in the "Gravity", "Space", and "Time" Supreme Devils more impactful. Magic power rules the underworld, but she was able to create / use something completely different to upend the underworld.
To back this up even further the witch queen uses curse magic and she was able to control Asta while in his anti magic form which had anti magic running through his body not only that but she was able to activate it
If regular mages can just access negative mana to create forbidden spells, I don't think it's a huge leap for Liebe to create a curse and alter his own soul. The grimoire is most likely negative mana so it didn't disappear and didn't break licita's rules Sealing a devil in a negative kana grimoire might also count as forbidden magic, leading to the creation of the curse
I never questioned the 5-Leaf Grimoire not having mana since it always seemed to me to be an exception to conventional rules: - It can be used by other people even when theoretically a grimoire can only have one owner - It didn't disappear after its owner (Lich) died - For some reason it is the only type of grimoire a Devil can use - Etc... Maybe the Grimoire became a common physical object, which would explain why it didn't disappear, so when Liebe manifested Anti-Magic, the Grimoire started working again as it had a new source of energy, which allowed it to fulfill its main function of finding a compatible user (Which only happened when Asta reached the right age)
I did not expect this to go to curse route 😅 What got me really excited about your theory is the idea that the time devil is behind anti-magic creation, cause I really don't want to have another Lucifero. Also also, I knew Curse Magic is OP, because it doesn't really have a fixed concept. "I curse you to be powerful" done, just like that. Although the tale of curses is always the bearer either realize a blessing is a curse, a curse is a blessing, or both. Which goes along with 4 clover being a blessing, yet not the case with 4 clover bearers we have in the story.
I guess you could say anti-magic is quite literally an curse to magic itself. Which just makes sense on so many levels the more I think about it even down to the name itself. Because when something is antithetical to something else you could call it a curse to the thing that it's antithetical to.
I believe this theory could be true. Alternatively it could be that Liebe developed a “anti-matter magic” which uses a “anti matter mana” explaining the exact way magic and anti magic interact.
Really great and interesting theory overall, just one thing: Licita putting Liebe in the grimoire doesn't mean the grimoire has no magic, it means Liebe has no magic. She outright says that if object A has no magic, she can put it in object B with her magic. Object A, aka Liebe, has no magic, so she can put it in Object B, aka the grimoire, regardless of the grimoire's condition/state.
@@tomshapira9368 if you see the panels where she says what her magic can do, it shows she used her magic on the grimoire as she unsealed it to show it to Liebe. So she has used her magic on the grimoire, thus, no mana.
@@Nogalation not a problem because we see her use her magic on the grimoire. When she reveals the grimoire she uses her magic to unseal it from its container. Meaning it has no mana.
The logic behind this theory is pretty sound. Makes sense to me. I'm hoping when we get to Gordon's fight, we might get more insight into curses, and possibly learn more about his family's connection to Megicula. Someone in his family (his grandma perhaps) might have even been the one that cursed Licita, possibly on orders from Megicula. I'm looking forward to Gordon's fight the most out of all the Lucius clone fights.
Before this video, no joke, i thought of this and gaslit myself into thinking there wasn't enough evidence to support my theory. I feel so much better now knowing i wasn't crazy 😌
I have theory. Spoilers ahead. We learnt about another power in the land of sun. I don’t remember the wording correctly but it’s the power the leader dude had where he could see the future or whatever. He had to trade his mana and magic for that power. If someone without mana like Liebe or Asta tried to use the power, would they develop a negative vacuum of magic or an energy that absorbs and repels magic to fill the deficits of magic it has. What if they needed to a grimoire to perform the ritual and used the 5 leaf one. We already know Liebes’s grimoire teleports around since that’s how it got to Asta.
so basically curses are akin to viruses or a sickness, from those who have cursed are people are ill in some way, and liebe developed this curse or sickness which he was able to flip around to his benefit. And taking that route that curses are basically sicknesses what if Asta was cursed and that's why he can't use magic.
Wouldn't it be crazy if Yuki was watching videos like this and thinking "hmmm.... Not exactly what I was thinking but I'll probably add that it cause it's pretty good" 😂
This is an even better theory to the last theory I support deeply. Where Anti Magic is just Licht's Sword Magic imbued with Liebe's negative mana inside the grimoure. Which yeah it makes more sense you Curse Someone.
Astaroth needed a vessel to cultivate power that could avoid his own future sight and destroy magic and then went for licita cheeks to make a being capable of weilding that curse to save the multiverse. Astaroth is the real Aizen.
I always wondering how characters learn to use Curse spells/power like Catherine, the Witch who curse Captain Charlotte or the one who cursed Asta's mom.
Something I've come back to again is the good old "what if Asta had magic" We make him a peasant who still arrives at the church, but this time he has magic power (I don't want anyone to obtain anti-magic, if we give Liebe magic too he can't pass through the barrier in the underworld) Asta's magic attribute is sword magic, but as a peasant he can't do much and Yuno is his rival so he trains for the day he'll get his grimoire and be able to cast spells Asta is chosen by the five leaf demon sword magic grimoire- or is he? Can't five leaf grimoire's only be used by devils? If we side-step the issue by saying the grimoire is a four leaf then it likely messes with the early timeline For now lets just say Asta gets a three leaf grimoire of sword magic While training he meets ex-diamond kingdom general fanzel kruger who trains him At the magic knights entrance exam he doesn't fight Sekke, since Asta is pretty good with magic Sekke will look for someone weaker It doesn't matter too much how well Asta fights here, since no squad will accept a peasant who isn't crazy powerful like Yuno- aside from the Black Bulls because Yami does what he wants and Asta reminds him of an old friend So Asta makes it to his first mission A town is covered in mist "Asta, cut through the mist with your anti-magic sword!" only he doesn't have that in this version Not sure how this affects the upcoming fight But Asta can now use a smaller sword, use long ranged attacks, participate in combo-spells, they probably win On his second mission I think he would lose against Mars He can't cut through the crystal as easily and he likely can't borrow Noelle's power for the water slash that turns off his flame recovery magic Does Asta have enough raw magic power to win? (There's also a chance he loses to Lotus before this, on account of lacking the ability to dispel his smoke magic)
I know this is unrelated, but could you do a short or video about one of the "which powers would you have" type prompts for BC, like I have every grimoire. I'm interested in your take because lets say you had every grimoire because there are multiple things to apply narratively and basic in series lore, for example, via the narrative of BC you'd be considered "blessed with mana" because of the multiple 4 leaf clover grimoire I have. The grimoire are bound to MY soul now, so the spells in there are mine because I'm not corrupting the grimoire like Zagred. There are also questions to ask, how much mana would you actually have with every grimoire in the series? How difficult would it be to control your mana? Could you potentially corrupt you own grimoire (because you're not an anime character? simple ones like how to you manage every grimoire you now own (even though this question has an obvious answer).
I think it’s just simpler than this. I think it is negative mana that flows the opposite direction then conventional negative mana no, this does not make it positive mana with the attribute of destruction
Can Lucius effect anti energy? Because if he can then doesn’t that mean he can effect other devils like zegred which would then mean he maybe unknowingly caused his own future downfall in the grand scheme of things. Licht’s five leaf grimoire with anti energy + liebe having no negative mana + lechita because the reason asta has no mana = them coming together means that all this was like a self fulfilling prophecy in a way. I think you could probably explain this better but that’s just my overall thoughts. I wonder what the next black clover video will be about?
In the movie It was revealed that a person can infact absob anti-magic whether they have magic or not But there Is a possibility that if you try to absorb anti-magic It could Affect or destroy the other magic present within your body so It's really risky to absorb it As far As i am sure currently he possesses no magic That counters anti-magic But then again We don't know nothing about the 7th magic he possess which hasn't not used yet and he never used his mana zone also so there is a chance That he might have some card up in his sleeve that could counter Asta anti-magic
about asta's book the reason it could still be around before he got it was because technically it be zagrads and he was sealed so there would be no magic in it? or because it is now a five leaf that would be positive and negitve mana?
King of curses who lived centuries if not thousands made who made many curses spells that quite effective Against Boy who lives 16 years in empty space made the most powerful curse in the series

I have a slight theory that maybe anti magic maybe manifested from Asta's mom's magic. Mom eats life, Asta eats magic sorta
Maybe it's more genetic. Asta may have another latent ability
Id even argue that licht was cursing humans for was they did to tetia which in turn curses his grimoire making it susceptible to zagred
This is a pretty good theory. I'll have to think about this one
Odin vs Black Clover when??? (Great video regardless)

While training he meets ex-diamond kingdom general fanzel kruger who trains him
At the magic knights entrance exam he doesn't fight Sekke, since Asta is pretty good with magic Sekke will look for someone weaker
It doesn't matter too much how well Asta fights here, since no squad will accept a peasant who isn't crazy powerful like Yuno- aside from the Black Bulls because Yami does what he wants and Asta reminds him of an old friend
So Asta makes it to his first mission
A town is covered in mist
"Asta, cut through the mist with your anti-magic sword!" only he doesn't have that in this version
