If they quit there will always be another to take their place I drive only when there is surge, like in the video. If you drive non surge you're just shooting yourself in the foot Most drivers are lazy and can't/won't do anything else.

There's hardly any surge in Chicago,this one was exceptional, because it was single digits temperature and the real feel was -28 and very few drivers were out driving and accepting trips.

I’ve done this for 9yrs. Why don’t u drive that half mile to get the extra $10 to get the $28. Or take that 1.2 mile trip for the $22 fare. U just sitting idly by wasting time and money hoping to get something more when Uber likely won’t offer u something better
I don't know if you watched the whole video, when I made this video I was not planning to drive at that time, I was just showing the drivers that Uber only pays good money when they can't find enough drivers, usually when the weather is bad.
@@whereistruefreedom I drove in northern part of Chicago for 9yrs and then the last year decided to stick to the south suburbs where I live and the money is better. There’s no traffic and the people r a bit more pleasant to deal with.

Hi , in Chicago, the surge is rare lately , this was an exception because it was 27 degrees below zero (real feel) in Chicago that day.
in this case what you have to do is accept whatever ride u get and then cancel it until u get a good one and the surge will stay
