In FE12, When Julian was recruting lena at this chapter, instead of saying "Just call me lena" she said "From now on, call me honey/babe" depending on the translation, and in their ending together in FE12 Julian stops being a theif and owns an orphanage with Lena
@@Jadanbr it is before. But after Valentia he is back to settle business with Medeus and after it end it is mentioned in his ending in Valentia that he part way with Tatiana but he returned to her side again.
i always thought it neat how when you're checking units; you can actually watch a little animation of Dark Dragon Medeus; he comes out of the ground; standing straight up. I found that really neat; showing off not just with the battle animation showing how big he is; but the sprites as well.
I like version better than the FE12 chapter tbh. I think the Earth Dragons rising from their slumber is better than the mixed bag of dragons in FE12, and although the map theme in FE12 isn't shitty, I much prefer Holy War (this one). Also Medeus being like x10 bigger.
I kinda agree. I much prefer this Holy War to the remake's holy war, and especially to the Forbidden Sanctuary. Feels a bit too quite. I have to admit, I didn't see the point of the earth dragons, since they disappear with the shield, but the way they can get pot shots in is pretty neat. The remake doesn't give them the chance (maybe on higher difficulties??) And yes, Medeus being so big you can barely see his form is much more intimidating than his remake model.
Is it even possible to beat this without abusing the Again staff while still recruiting everyone? Because enemies move in the same turn they spawn they will just immediately go for the weak Clerics killing them in one shot. I feel like this staff was made especially for this battle because you really don't need in any other place in the game if you play properly.
Yes, it is possible, but a lot depends on luck and rng. In my playthrough earth dragon could one-shot Feena with a 40% chance + a lot depends on the dragon reinforcements and the crit chances of Mars and Tiki vs Medeus. In any case, even with a well-thought-out strategy and luck, saving the sisters and killing the medeus will take at least two turns without Again staff.
@@FrogishBird Well, you'd need an English script. They can't just reuse the scripts from the remakes because those are considerably longer and wouldn't fit in the screen space - and cartridge space - available in the older games. Cartridge space still matters because Nintendo's VC rereleases are basically the original game plus a custom emulator; they still have to obey the "rules" the original games did.
@@rdrrr Not necessarily, in the case of the very FE1 rerelease mentioned they use a Lua script to dynamically display the translation and variable width font into the game, and so there is no actual English translation in their ROM.
It's so badass how Marth charges the dragons face, then side steps the dragons attack. For a SNES game that looks so damn cool.

And then he goes away to Valentia and left Nyna.......
I thought the valentia trip was before

Dragon Tiki is only as big as Medeus's head!

Sorry, 5 years late, but it’s called Theme of Love.
Why is Medeus making faces at them? (Look at his map sprite)

Sad music should not be Nyna's recruition theme.
What's the name of the music that plays while minerva was speaking to Maria on this map?

I’m really curious where you found a translation patch with the correct English names
I worked on this particular one. You can find translation patches on romhacking dot net
@@Quirino26 hmm, yeah, the addendum
Never knew Medeus had pupils
Not exactly those are dragona that lose their Will and are now wild beasts at their fullest
Jesus, the cursor movement is so stiff
That's just FE3
Yea, but at least they fixed it at the later games, making it a bit more convenient to move
If you think this is bad, consider; the NES games are even worse
hello are you still online. i want to play this game please help . leave your comment plzz
You can find most translation patches at romhacking dot net. This one has been updated with bugfixes, so I recommend getting that version.
Dangit Nintendo, port the original 6 games to the switch! You did it with Shadow Dragon and the blade of light, why not the other 5?
I hope the others will follow someday, but it’s a big ask :)
@@Quirino26Shouldn’t be a big ask lol

@@Flametix Interesting that it doesn't use Shadow Dragon's punched up English script, then. It has its own, drier translation.
