I drove a friends TT 15 years ago, and test drove a second TT. I Was University student…couldn’t afford one. Loved it! Finally buying myself a TT after all of these years later!!! So excited
Kon Darras I’ve been trying to take care of it so been using only premium gas and also only taking it to Audi certified dealership for oil change and that cost me $760 last time so it’s not cheap.. I also pay monthly car wash membership so my car can stay clean.. :) spoiling it a bit!!
Dear Devon you must love cars :) My sister own a 2018 SLC she loves it.. I also drove it a few times.. fun car specially that it’s hardtop convertible, but to me TT is more fun to drive.. handles the road better.. just my biased opinion!!
I have a TT Coupe 2017 and it's honestly a nice little coupe. Love the virtual cockpit and the air-vent design. Can't really complain. While I thought the 2015 update gave the car a much sharper look over the MK2, I think the 2019 update really wasn't necessary, especially those fake vents. Sure, it gives it a bit more of an aggressive look but that's about all really. I do like the honeycomb front grill though. I've got my eyes set on the 718 Cayman S as my next car.
Why on earth did Peugeot not release a mk. II RCZ? The TT is obviously popular (which is why the RCZ existed to begin with), and even though Peugeot said the RCZ was an attempt to chase a niche, I would have thought enough were sold to make a new model based on the mk. II 308. They didn't need to ever chase the top TT, just the two wheel drive ones. A bit daft, really. As for the TT, good car but certainly just an evolution. Perhaps that's all that's needed.
Yup, I recently swapped in a 208 GTi for a TT. RCZ could have been something really special. But the reliability of that prince engine pre 2016 put me off the RCZ R. Considering it was about 35k new they should have focused more on the performance range of engines rather than putting a 150bhp petrol in it. It had a beautiful silhouette aswell like the TT, the only thing I would have changed externally would have been the front end, which looked very bulbous.
My wife had one of the first ever right hand drive TT's in the in the UK that we had ro wait some time for. When I told her Audi were stopping production she said I have to have one. She has not had a car of her own for 14 years. I am waiting delivery of the 2024 Q4 very shortly so we will be a not only a two car home but a two Audi home. You can guess the smile on the fase of the salesman from Audi two cars in a couple of weeks.
Duncan Idaho I think that Paddy means the naming of their engine range, with the 40, 45, 50, 55, 73 and the joker number being the 36. First prize was a million quid...
More choice of wheel options!....Have you been on the Audi web site! There is just one new wheel style in S-Line trim (see 20th anniversary edition) .. and don't expect to get those wheels you have on that orange car as they are pre production wheels and are not available to order!! The 40 tfsi ONLY comes in S-Tronic NOT manual! .. 3.45mins "it confuses me" I am not suprised seeing some of your facts are wrong!... "Red, Black or White as standard" WRONG AGAIN! ... white is the only colour that is standard.... Know about what you are testing as you're just giving everyone false information.
Looks great in my eyes. The naming has gone longer over the years though. Nice exhaust sound, nice and sharp steering. I think I would not mind owning one.
Pretty much exactly how I would have reviewed it. Somehow, just liked not loved the later versions, but it does look better than any version except the first one.
Is it just me or the placing of the camera on same driving side is quite annoying and useless. You'd think they might want to put it on the opposite side to have a good appreciation of interior and driver's side.
Wow personally I think the Mk3 facelift is no way near as pretty as the previous version. Too fussy, less classy and feels like changes are made for changes sake. Sorry Audi, love the TT but this was a slight step backwards for me. Normally I would say being a TT it will still sell like hot cakes. However considering everyone is buying SUVs these days I doubt that will be the case 😔
I have a new TT. Door & boot seals leak like sieves. Had a Golf before that was the same. The VW Group aught to be ashamed of the design & build quality.
Why no AWD manual? 😔 discouraging people in getting a manual so you could argue that there's no demand for manual? Good tactic Audi for killing the manual. Shows me how you don't care about your customers.
I agree on all fronts but my god were those things unreliable. Buying was one thing, maintaining was another. Still though, they will always have a special place in my heart!
Sharp steering, lovely flat bottomed steering wheel? Packaged understeer for the masses and can't make a round steering wheel more like. Also, am I the only one who has noticed women tend to like the original TT but men prefer the later shapes? For me, great looking car but it's an MQB car at the end of the which can't compare to the BMW 2 series chassis. I've had a flat bottomed steering wheel for 5 years now and it still annoys me.
I really love the car. But it's just so expensive for what is basically a smaller (and better looking mind) A3. I'd love to get one but I wouldn't feel that it would be value for money.
Please give the near decade old phrase of buying this car a rest, its getting very boring to listen to the same press blabbering. Also dull road holding = fun car? 🤔☹️😳

This lady is actually a better reviewer than many others..
Jason Moments except for mat Watson from carwow he is better
No
Every car reviews from different channel is good, importanly the information to be conveyed is clear and accurate.....
i just bought a 2016 TT what an epic car, absolutely love it. 2019 doesn't need the fake vents the design is just right.
May i ask, how much did it cost to you?
My 2018 looks just fine without them.
I have the same and I love the way it looks. And still turns heads
Just got mine a couple days ago, 2016 nardo grey metallic, insanely fun, stunning car. 20k from the dealership
are you guys serious...just some fake vents?
the car got a COMPLETE different engine than the TT's before the
facelift.
This was my dreamcar when I was little... lol. I remeber I had a need for speed on psp and my car was an audi tt haha
Mine to!! I finally bought one :) and honestly funnest car I’ve ever owned..

I didn’t think the TT was in that game. But ok.

Test drove one yesterday. Such a fabulous car. Mk3 much better looking than the Mk2.
No HUD and no cool ambient lighting though.
Lash195 sweet lucky you!
Mk2 exterior looks better. Mk3 interior looks better. Oversized grill ruins the Mk3.
The seat belt should be over the shoulder
Great that the virtual cockpit is standard now.
Hi Ginny. Looking at the Audi TT configurator, the entry level model doesn't have a manual gearbox option.

Who remembers when Carbuyer and Carwow had the same amount of subscribers?
Ok.
Could've been the best review if you would've sat in the rear seat, for understanding the clear size of the rear passenger seat
'slightly dull roadholding'
How can roadholding be dull?
Audi's fill very flat footed .
@@lewiscannon8213 That's the steering/handling, not the roadholding.
Nothing fun about being connected to the road.
All the fun is involved with ditch finding.
Does it have a cd player in glovebox
Yes, and SD card slots
Thanks

I'm sorry but I prefer the mk 2 styling it's lines were so lush
Daniel Evans agree it sat lower and fatter
I love my 2015 TT Quattro
There’s no Center screen?
No, everything is done in the digital instrument cluster. Making this car more "driver focused"
Didn’t the z3 come out first?
"But muh oversteer bruh"
I had this car back in 2001. It was a great car to pick up women with.
If your are a woman leaving the salon going to yoga
As a new B driving licence holder, can i buy and authorised to drive this car?
what about seating comfort? rear seats?
You don’t buy this car for good rear seats🤣🤣
This is my dream car.
You can get old version for $4K if it means something to you
Clay Lincoln I like the new one
Agree 100% on the fake rear grills. Design desperation. But a stunning car.
The Audi naming is simply bizarre - surly someone in the marketing dept lost their job over that. It makes absolutely no sense!
Feels made for the US market...
Audi comes from latin language. German names do not sound as good as the latin words.
Infiniti has to be the worst.
Duncan Idaho I think that Paddy means the naming of their engine range, with the 40, 45, 50, 55, 73 and the joker number being the 36. First prize was a million quid...
And BMW can do it no problem? 318d is a 2.0 diesel. 340i is a 3 litre petrol. 328i, 330i, M550d, M140i, M135i
Shiv Patel they haven’t it for ages ages and you can differentiate between models...
Looks like it would blend in well with Batch's trews.

Crazy how the British like TTs than anyone else 🤣😂🤣
Yeah design/look of the car is amazing, back when it come out, it was ahead of the competition by a mile literally!
Anyone knows where this is filmed in UK ? thx
I STILL love this car!
I own a 2015 tt ultra diesel and love driving it. mpg 55+ all day long and it goes like stink same top speed as the tt rs lol.
I can’t have cuattro and standard at the same time?
a beautiful car from any angle, i dont mind the fake air vents but they annoy me when washing my car that it does trap a bit of water!
i got this car since i cant afford a r8 yet , they look alike from the front
Why do the air vents need to be sooo big? Why three in the centre? They're overwhelming
NOT WILD ABOUT THE LOOKS, BUT IT IS AN ICON!
Looks great in my eyes. The naming has gone longer over the years though. Nice exhaust sound, nice and sharp steering. I think I would not mind owning one.
Needs more mood lighting

What colour is this, beautiful
It’s orange, sweet cheeks
Looks good and goes well. And the car’s not bad either!
I still prefer my 2001 225 model over any other TT Audi has made.
Lovin my tt mk3 such a fun car bike fast and comfy .

Like the new style did go much on the jelly mold styling of the original.
Awesome little car.
Do it have a manuel version, if not, i don't know what the point of buying it.
Yes, but they're only built in Barcelona, and all the displays are in Spanish.
finally a TT a man can drive

In 1998 you could have bought a fiat coupe 20v turbo , which was better looking , faster and cheaper .
I agree on all fronts but my god were those things unreliable.
Buying was one thing, maintaining was another.
Still though, they will always have a special place in my heart!
They buy TTs in UK because insurance is a rip off because of how hungry brits are and because of the damn small roads.
we buy more TT's than anywhere else in the world....because in the UK we know what a good car is.
Isnt insurance cheaper because of the back seats?
Makes perfect sense-not
Are the roads small in length or width?
@@zakelwe the country roads are a bit narrow but not that bad
It looks very similar to the old one..
Is this where carwow and Matt do their car review too?
Yea, Matt used to work at Carbuyer as a reviewer before he left the start Carwow. So he jst uses the same road
Really? Thinking about it, the logo colour - blue and name are similar. Thanks good to know.
Osaro Osayande - It’s actually not a public road but ground owned by a large movie studio, I’m sure this road has been featured on many films
I agree Ginny, it really is a dinky R8. I still don't understand Audi's new numerical naming system either.

NO manual option for the TTRS. Thats a game spoiler.
There's never been a manual TTRS?
No. That's why it isn't an option for real car lovers. Despite the 5-Cylinder.
Yes there is a manual TT RS - i have one !!! Its friggin awesome. :)
Andrew Bonney Not in germany at any time ☹️
try to drive this car in bandung city Indonesia, even the best car will not be fun to drive

"only comes in red, black or white" you telling me you think that car is red? looks pretty fucking orange to me

The TT doesn't look quite as nice as it did, agreed. I think the waistline is too high
