Durhamtown Tellico is having trouble and might be closed or closing! i am not sure of the details, but they are fighting it. i live in western NC and they have closed all the off-roading they can, there was hundreds of miles of trails until a few years ago, now it is hard to find enough trails to make a good trip.
Hey guys great video I would love to join next time I'll bring my Prius she's got a bike rack and some stickers and does 75mpg so I think she can handle this trail no problem. I also have a lot of off-road experience I went in a lot of DEEP puddles and went over a curb once it was awesome. So yeah my Prius is great and she is very special to me I call her Besi :3
Rooney Yea I always wanted to visit that location but it closed before I had the opportunity. Fortunately though the one in GA is still open and keeps getting bigger. It's my favorite place to spend time at here in the south.
one of the big reasons the original Tellico got shut down. was people blazing their own trails like they did here. I know Durhamtown town was on privately leased land but still. I grew up riding state line loop and hanging out at fains ford watching all the rigs come through.
It's to bad about all the rain. They do get an opportunity to learn more about their rides and driving in those conditions so, no pain, no gain I guess.
It's a weight so that if the winch cable breaks it just drops to the ground instead of turning into a catapult with thousands of pounds of force behind it
+Viperman200221 "Do you have anything without spam in it?" "Well, the spam, eggs, spam and cheese doesn't have allot of spam in it." "Bloody hell.. I'll just have a water." "That has spam in it as well." "Pfff... >.
Now I understand why people are disliking. You've got a tank in your thumbnail but nothing to do with it in the video. I'm assuming that will be part 5?
+justfakeit888 Portals are not the end all be all of axles. Running them requires compromise just like every other design. While the extra inches of diff clearance would be nice in some situations, you then also have to build the vehicle around those extra inches of 'lift' as far as vertical height. The current trend is to build vehicles that sit VERY low for stability vs tire size. You also have to remember that these vehicles get driven 1000s of miles on the highway which can be a challenge with portal gearing. With most common portal boxes you only have two reduction gears, this means that the differential needs to be 'flipped' so that forward gears are still forward gears. There are a few people that are starting to play around with them in the states again, mainly using the portal boxes from the H1 Hummer. There is nothing stopping YOU from building a vehicle with portal axles, applying to Ultimate Adventure, and showing us all how its done. I think that would be a first in the event also!
Why didn't Chris Durham ever get into rock bouncing? As competitive and aggressive as he was a decade ago you'd think he would have a bouncer of his own and taking on TC.
With all the "blazing new trails" I don't think any of them have heard the phrase Leave No Trace. Like considering this entire sport is based around nature they have absolutely no problem destroying nature.
+Peanutbuterjelly We have tons of respect for 'nature'. We always pack out any trash we find on the trails, we carry spill kits if we happen to have a leak, etc. etc.
Big tyres? check. Locking diffs? check. Winch? Check. Roll cage? Check. Wipers? lol It never rains.
.
They never had a windshield wiper sponsor so they couldn't put any on.
Whats cool about these rigs is they didn't have to be trailerd to and from the trails.
Thanks for helping close down Tellico by going off trail!!!!!
Awesome! That looks like a total fun time, even with the soggy camping. I'm sure the rain separated the men from the boys.
This seems about right...plan an epic offroad adventure and than it rains the whole time...go back to work just to have beautiful sunny days ...
You're in rockbouncer territory! Welcome to the southeast!
That's why your building scorpion crawler
Ain’t bouncing ya ain’t wheelin
Durhamtown Tellico is closed for business now. I'm glad I got to wheel it before it closed. Beautiful place.
Michael Douglas's off road adventures park looks great!
I'd say the love child of Micheal Douglas and woody harrelson! !!

so did the Colorado have fake beadlocks?
4 wheeling always looks like so much fun, even in the rain
Damn that rain must have sucked..
I don't want these Ultimate Adventure episodes to end lol
"Giving her the beans" I thought I was the only one who said that! 🤣
I was reaching for the jacket just watching this. Loving the UA 2015 though.
Kept thinking Jurassic Park with the lime green and yellow jeep.
Ultimately wet weather adventure, great videos!

Must be a speed demon ever get a quarter mile time
but how did y'all do all that without a single LED light bar?
that chevy colorado was a beast! beast modeing it!
This whole video demonstrated Oregon offroading in a nutshell, I know it wasn't Oregon but with the epic monsoon you'd never tell the difference
looks so fun, been there myself a few times, in my youth. 86 CJ 7
looks like the set of jurassic park!
awesome wheeling btw!
western NC
: )
I was hopping to see ultimate adventure back there again
1:53 great design on the top left of that door lmao
Sadly DT closed down right after this. Government bureaucracy at its best. Great place, gonna miss it.
You gave a good fun fight and a good show! Happy trail! ;-)
Betcha every single rig would've got up that hill a bit better with some TSLs. Interco is where it's at!
East coast wheeling is like East Coast skiing, it's not the trail, it's the surface.
Now THAT...is a sweet ride....!!!!
Whats the red one called?classy fenders
1:57 look at the corner of the door, engineering at it's finest
from Florida, wish I could make it up to some of these spots. I got videos, my buddies and I keep going to the WMA's and the hard Rock Off Road Park
Gah Fred's Jeep is so BADASS!!!!
Uhhhh THERE WAS NO TANK! 😭
Yeah that's why I wanted to watch this video! Saw the FV432 in the thumbnail but I can't find it. Stupid false thumbnail
+Bradley Lloyd no apc you mean
thanks for the heads up
Yeah, I'm like where's it at?
+DUKE NUKEM tracked apc you mean
some of these guy's comments are too funny..."didn't realize we were going to South America" Ha. Attitudes are awesome. Great group.
The guy with the Suzuki has a serious lead foot, I kept waiting for the bang and poof of smoke whenever he was on screen.
+jalex1873 Suzukis usually deal pretty well at high revs for many time... it is their way to develope power... :-P
i love fred williams rig, it´s so nice
Love this stuff!
that is how we do it, here on central america mug rain winching trough the forest
I wish we could get some rain like that here in California
Fred is just Boss
Great video!
Our vehicle is watertight,it's great!
I live in NC and use to go to durthamtown Tellico but it's closed now but I know the trails they are on

Looks very cool. Think I'm gonna make my new rc-car a UA edition.
But where was the tank?!?
+Biem Leichel its not a tank anyways its an apc
It's to bad about all the rain. They do get an opportunity to learn more about their rides and driving in those conditions so, no pain, no gain I guess.
man its like these guys havent had almost a month of rain before... (fraser valley Canada sucks for rain)
my neck of the woods
same here
Fred is boss, also what is that mat that they put on the cable while winching?
Is so if the cable breaks or comes loose it won't whip around as much. I think it's weighted.
It's a weight so that if the winch cable breaks it just drops to the ground instead of turning into a catapult with thousands of pounds of force behind it
Eggs, sausage bacon and Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, lol.
+Viperman200221 A proper meal.
spam is good
+Viperman200221 "Do you have anything without spam in it?" "Well, the spam, eggs, spam and cheese doesn't have allot of spam in it." "Bloody hell.. I'll just have a water." "That has spam in it as well." "Pfff... >.
+Viperman200221 Reported for spam :P JK I didn't.
+pegalis I knew some some would get that joke eventually. Good ol' Monty Python, LOL.
The red truck was like the police thing on the side for like the wallpaper for the video I really like that truck
I mentioned Billy's ato
Very nice video
"We're wet and we're havin a good time"
Reminds me of my bachelors party
So what happens to the old Project trucks once UA is done for the year?
Is it just me or are the new Falken MT tires just not hooking up that good in the goo???
Where is the APC from the thumbnail?
3:46 That hurt my spine just looking at it, ouch!
Why are the credits always so long? Haha
oooo yeaaa!!!! menn ilove trucks jeeps
Now I understand why people are disliking. You've got a tank in your thumbnail but nothing to do with it in the video. I'm assuming that will be part 5?
Man those credits are frickin long.
California wishes it had all that rain lol!
No need for 3 min end-credits. roll them through and let us have some fun ..
It would be cool to see a formula off-road hit that wet muddy hill at 9:00
+Bridger Crusan Or a rock bouncer
+Bridger Crusan I think the paddles would get torn to shreds on that terrain
Good times. Thinking of coming along next year in a John Deere tractor. Cool?
Put in a road gear and you have a great idea!
Where was the Range Rover?
11:29
+Saymourthe fractalcat We want more Rover actionnnnnnnn!!
I'm just reading the comments looking for the 'I can't believe someone cut up a perfectly good Suzuki Sidekick 4-door!' guy.
Man that Suzi gets the jandle
hahaha the trail manager looks like a long haired michael douglas
Why when they talk to the Asian man driving the Cherokee chief, it says he's driving a TJ?
Too bad Durhamtown / Tellico was closed for good after this trip ...... Another great off road park lost to politics ...........
Show me more Exploder Dang it!
I wonder if it rained..
3rd. Great video anyway
Reminds me of the Jurassic park fat guy with a jeep scene
I still don't understand why these guys will have an no budget rig, and still not put in portal axles. Would have helped a ton on those rocks.
+justfakeit888 Portals are not that common in the USA in general. Lots of these rigs are built on a budget, especially the readers.
That one in the thumbnail certainly was not a cheap rig. I realize portals are expensive, but worth it to do any serious offroading.
+justfakeit888 Portals are not the end all be all of axles. Running them requires compromise just like every other design. There is money stopping me lol. I'm way younger than these guys, but still, good point. If I entered, I would probably "cheat" and get a mog.
We get it..it's raining, please get over it.
10;57 that product placement tho
Stay tuned for Fred's new show, Rain Every Day.
Longest credits in life.
cool adventure
Once again, this time around 4 minute mark they list the vehicle as "'98 Jeep Wrangler TJ" while it's a 75 Jeep Cherokee...
Why do they always seem to go in the rain...
Why didn't Chris Durham ever get into rock bouncing? As competitive and aggressive as he was a decade ago you'd think he would have a bouncer of his own and taking on TC.
it is a shame that tellico is now closed,
Not sure, but might have been raining
Its a shame Durhamtown Tellico has been shut down already.
With all the "blazing new trails" I don't think any of them have heard the phrase Leave No Trace. Like considering this entire sport is based around nature they have absolutely no problem destroying nature.
+Peanutbuterjelly This was a park setting where working new lines was approved by the park manager.
But still. That kinda just means that the park manager has less respect for nature too
+Peanutbuterjelly It is an off road park. Having challenging trails to drive on is basically the point.
I understand, I'm not trying to argue with you. I'm just saying that since the activity is about nature they should have a little more respect for it.
+Peanutbuterjelly We have tons of respect for 'nature'. We always pack out any trash we find on the trails, we carry spill kits if we happen to have a leak, etc. etc.
Why so little zooki footage on all these?
What i have learned by watching this.
#Big lift with big travel shocks
#big soft tyres
#Diesel engine
#heavy duty winch
#0 fucks given attitude
Yea, but winching all day... in the rain, sucks.
I swear that guy is related to Leonard Maltin. Lol
shit tyres for mud, in the UK all we have is mud not a lot of crawling so use SIMEX Extreme trekkers. Best mud tyre I`ve ever used.
Bring the diesel duster project back
someone needs to help were running out of places to go
That's gross weather for sure, but not "the nastiest weather [I] can imagine". 0:46
You spelled Durhamtown wrong...
You left too much video footage, on the cutting room floor!!!
+sturomain Yeah but they made it up in credits...
tim hardy's my hero
These are real lifted trucks and used for their purpose.
👍
