This was a very interesting walk through of Helloween's discography! I'm honestly not up on their material enough to know how I'd rank their albums. What I am familiar with is the first three releases. I love those records. The artwork on those is awesome too and I remember sketching those covers out on my drawing pad (among other album artwork) because that was another hobby of mine. The only thing I own of Helloween right now is the original vinyl of Keeper Part II that I bought the day it came out. I remember that specifically because that was right around when And Justice For All first came out). I think the next time I'm in the mood to listen to Helloween, I will select one of their albums I'm not familiar with. This was a great video - Take care Darcy !

Oh, I remember commenting on your Iron Maiden ranking as well. I saw Maiden in my hometown Sölvesborg in 2018, and Helloween played right before them on the second biggest stage on that festival we got here (Sweden Rock Festival). I was so pissed at the festival, having this awesome band with Kiske and Kai rejoined, JUST before Maiden on the main stage. Had to skip half of their concert.

Very good ranking mate, apart from the first 3 I then jumped around the Helloween discography. The Dark Ride and 7 Sinners are ones that really stuck out for me, love those albums. The Departed from dark ride is a top track. Great stuff as always Darcy!

Great ranking. Sorry to say I listened to the naysayers and lost track of Helloween after the Keeper albums. Only been the last couple of years that I`ve gone back and caught up a bit. My number 4 is 7 Sinners because that`s the first album I started listening to when I went back. Top 3 are the obvious ones, in the same order as yourself. Love the channel.

Great list Darcy. Got to be honest i only have two Helloween albums. Keeper of the seven keys part 1 and The time of the oath. I really need to start checking more of their stuff out. Helloween is just one of those bands i really just never gave the time of day too. But im going to start looking for more of thier stuff.

A great lesson in metal as always my friend. Helloween are in my top 10 metal bands of all time. My favourite album would easily be The Dark Ride. I also enjoy the heaviness of Gambling with the devil. Walls of Jericho is perfect too. Actually, I need to give their discography a fresh spin. Stay safe brother 🤘 🍻.

Hi Darcy, yesterday I spend all my lunch money on Helloween albums. I heard I want out and I just waltzed in to the band and love them. Judas Priest is my favourite band of all time but boy these guy's rock. Unfortunately I never took any notice of them before this late in my life.

I would suggest to start off with their first work, the Halloween mlp which is flawless,impeccable power/speed metal from start to finish and could be on the top spot among Helloween works

Hey Darcy! Great video! I must admit I am only really familiar with Helloween first 3 albums and last 3. 7 Sinners got me back into them. I think that album is insanely good! It was nice to here your opinions on the ones in between those. My initial introduction to them was Keepers Pt 1 which I believe is on cassette? Keepers Pt 2 I had on cd. Awesome ranking, Andi Deris is a phenomenal vocalist, I completely rode off Helloween in the early 90' after Charmeleon, that was until I bought Better Than Raw in 98' and was blown away by Andi's vocals, completely turned Helloween around IMO, and after but it's hard to not have those first four albums as our faves so here my top five 5. Better Than Raw 4. 7 Sinners 3. Walls of Jerhico 2. Keeper part 1 1. Keeper part 2 Master of the Rings and Deal with the Devil are another two of my faves that would definitely be in my top 10, cheers buddy!!

Wow, difficult for me to pick a favorite. Helloween also just doesn't tour The States much anymore. Lucky enough to see them with Andi Deris at a small club in Dallas years ago. Rabbit Don't Come Easy tour maybe? Great show! Thanks for the video. I'll definitely have to go back through their catalogue again. Still love Gamma Ray too. ; )

Helloween's first three studio albums are awesome... Keepers Part Two brought me into Metal, back when I was kid... I was glad to see that Walls of Jericho was reissued including their first EP and the song Judas, it is great collection... And for the new album of 2021...for me it goes right behind the Top 3, which for me are 1. Keepers Part One 2. Walls of Jericho (including EP + Judas) 3. Keepers Part Two Keep going Darcy!

Nice. Helloween are definitely a fan favourite of the VC. I only had keepers pt 2 for years and since I started watching more and more channels over the years helloween is often mentioned and always held in high regards. I did get the noise year compalation to check them out more, but this is a good guide. Iike the sound of the dark ride. I'll be checking that out. 🤘🤘🤘

What a coincidence: been listening to Helloween the whole day long. In the car, in the shower and in the musicroom. Being from Germany I saw them 15 - 20 times. Always a great live band. First time was on the "Pink Bubbles" tour...

Hi buddy I got their first 3 albums when they came out and really liked the style of their music; often compared to the ‘Iron Maiden’ type of metal which I could see and enjoyed the guitars 🎸 Drifted away from metal for a while and that stopped my buying any more Helloween stuff Not played for a while but might give them an airing at the weekend The joy of your videos is that, it often piques my memory of a band and gets me routing around in my collection to play them again Take care 🤘

Michael Kiske, the Angel's Voice from Heaven!!! Saw Michael Kiske on his first Tour with Helloween back in 1987 with Overkill. He was just 18 years old (i was 16 ^^) back there!

To me Helloween is a band i discovered with Keepers I, i still own my OG vinyl, next came Keepers II awesome, but shit happens and Kai leaves the band, then after PBGA and Chamaleon, kind of lost track of them, but i have heard some of their work with Deris, they are good but i think they start to be repetitive with the sound, specially with the double drum, but their are good ones like the time of the oath...... btw i still need to give a good listen to Walls of Jericho and try to grab one of my top grails Live in the UK.

Helloween, what a great band! I love every album by them! Like you said the Andi Deris era is full of great albums. My favorits from that era is ”The time of the oath” and ”Better than raw”. I can’t find a weak track on those albums! I wasn’t happy right after Kai left, but then we got Gamma Ray AND Helloween, two great bands to listen to.

Helloween is one of my two favorite bands ever, they share the spot. Anyway it is hard for me to rank the albums because helloween changes the style so much that it is hard to compare. Instead of rank their albums, I just ranked them as my absolute favorite (along with dream theater).

Great ranking Darcy I definitely agree with the number 1 being Walls Of Jericho that’s definitely my favorite Helloween album. My least favorite would probably be Keeper of the seventh Key Part 3 the legacy I just didn’t see a reason for another Keepers album at that time.

Believe it or not, i put Pink Bubbles at no 3 - straight after Keeper 1 and 2 - its got some killer tracks on it, only a couple of fillers - i love it !

I'm a Deris guy. This man saved helloween by brigning his fantastic voice and amazing writin talent. So many great songs were penned by him. The problem is that the inspiration seems to be lacking on a lot of the newer stuff. I’ve especially grown fond of Pink Bubbles Go Ape and Chameleon (Chameleon is such a beautiful album honestly). God, I must've missed this one somehow.... I knew you'd put out a few ranking vids recently but how did I not notice the Helloween one, lol. Anyways, I've seen it now.... interesting stuff..... and looking at the comments quite a few people have them in lots of different orders. So, I've still got a lot to check out from the Deris era. I have the big three of course and your number 4 was given to me by the legend that is Jim Davies. I like Master of the Rings.... but that's all I can really comment on for now.... lol. For me it's hard to rank them all, because I gave not so much attention to the Deris albums. I started with Keeper 1 back in 1987. I would put Walls and Keeper 1 and 2 on the first 3 places, but depending on my mood, Walls or Keeper 2 is on the top position. I liked Dark Ride a lot, I hate Chameleon and Pink Bubbles. The rest of the albums I have to hear so say anything about it. But I now put all albums on my USB drive to hear them all in my car (in chronological order).'

I don't know why Michael Kiske had two of the best albums with Keepers 1 & 2 and two of the worst albums by Helloween. I really enjoy Keepers 1 is my #1 Keepers 2 is my #2. All the rest are tied for 3rd overall.

I love Helloween! And I do like keeper 2 better than one. But it was the first Helloween I ever got and on cassette. I didn't get into newer stuff til Straight out of Hell. And I totally agree , Don't sleep on the Andi material. Apparently I need Master of the Rings and The Time of the Oath. Anyways such a killer band and I can't wait til they release some new studio Pumpkins United material!

This was a very interesting walk through of Helloween's discography! I'm honestly not up on their material enough to know how I'd rank their albums. What I am familiar with is the first three releases. I love those records. The artwork on those is awesome too and I remember sketching those covers out on my drawing pad (among other album artwork) because that was another hobby of mine. The only thing I own of Helloween right now is the original vinyl of Keeper Part II that I bought the day it came out. I remember that specifically because that was right around when And Justice For All first came out). I think the next time I'm in the mood to listen to Helloween, I will select one of their albums I'm not familiar with. This was a great video - Take care Darcy !

Oh, I remember commenting on your Iron Maiden ranking as well. I saw Maiden in my hometown Sölvesborg in 2018, and Helloween played right before them on the second biggest stage on that festival we got here (Sweden Rock Festival). I was so pissed at the festival, having this awesome band with Kiske and Kai rejoined, JUST before Maiden on the main stage. Had to skip half of their concert.

Very good ranking mate, apart from the first 3 I then jumped around the Helloween discography. The Dark Ride and 7 Sinners are ones that really stuck out for me, love those albums. The Departed from dark ride is a top track. Great stuff as always Darcy!

Great ranking. Sorry to say I listened to the naysayers and lost track of Helloween after the Keeper albums. Only been the last couple of years that I`ve gone back and caught up a bit. My number 4 is 7 Sinners because that`s the first album I started listening to when I went back. Top 3 are the obvious ones, in the same order as yourself. Love the channel.

It was nice to here your opinions on the ones in between those. My initial introduction to them was Keepers Pt 1 which I believe is on cassette? Keepers Pt 2 I had on cd. Awesome ranking, Andi Deris is a phenomenal vocalist, I completely rode off Helloween in the early 90' after Charmeleon, that was until I bought Better Than Raw in 98' and was blown away by Andi's vocals, completely turned Helloween around IMO, and after but it's hard to not have those first four albums as our faves so here my top five

Wow, difficult for me to pick a favorite. Helloween also just doesn't tour The States much anymore. Lucky enough to see them with Andi Deris at a small club in Dallas years ago. I was glad to see that Walls of Jericho was reissued including their first EP and the song Judas, it is great collection... And for the new album of 2021...for me it goes right behind the Top 3, which for me are

Nice. Helloween are definitely a fan favourite of the VC. I only had keepers pt 2 for years and since I started watching more and more channels over the years helloween is often mentioned and always held in high regards. I did get the noise year compalation to check them out more, but this is a good guide. Iike the sound of the dark ride. I'll be checking that out. 🤘🤘🤘

What a coincidence: been listening to Helloween the whole day long. In the car, in the shower and in the musicroom. Being from Germany I saw them 15 - 20 times. Always a great live band. First time was on the "Pink Bubbles" tour...

Drifted away from metal for a while and that stopped my buying any more Helloween stuff

To me Helloween is a band i discovered with Keepers I, i still own my OG vinyl, next came Keepers II awesome, but shit happens and Kai leaves the band, then after PBGA and Chamaleon, kind of lost track of them, but i have heard some of their work with Deris, they are good but i think they start to be repetitive with the sound, specially with the double drum, but their are good ones like the time of the oath...... btw i still need to give a good listen to Walls of Jericho and try to grab one of my top grails Live in the UK.

Helloween, what a great band! I love every album by them! Like you said the Andi Deris era is full of great albums. My favorits from that era is ”The time of the oath” and ”Better than raw”. I can’t find a weak track on those albums! I wasn’t happy right after Kai left, but then we got Gamma Ray AND Helloween, two great bands to listen to.

Great ranking Darcy I definitely agree with the number 1 being Walls Of Jericho that’s definitely my favorite Helloween album. My least favorite would probably be Keeper of the seventh Key Part 3 the legacy I just didn’t see a reason for another Keepers album at that time.

IMHO you probably should have waited for that album to be released before making this ranking video to complete your collection.

Believe it or not, i put Pink Bubbles at no 3 - straight after Keeper 1 and 2 - its got some killer tracks on it, only a couple of fillers - i love it !
I feel like Master Of The Rings is kinda hit or miss, but Sole Survivor is my favorite Halloween song

I'm a Deris guy. This man saved helloween by brigning his fantastic voice and amazing writin talent. So many great songs were penned by him. The problem is that the inspiration seems to be lacking on a lot of the newer stuff.

I don't own all Helloween studio albums but Keeper Part 1 is my No.1 and my least fav.is Chameleon. I like My god-given right. 7 Sinners and straight out of Hell are great too. God, I must've missed this one somehow.... I knew you'd put out a few ranking vids recently but how did I not notice the Helloween one, lol.
Anyways, I've seen it now.... interesting stuff..... and looking at the comments quite a few people have them in lots of different orders.
So, I've still got a lot to check out from the Deris era. I have the big three of course and your number 4 was given to me by the legend that is Jim Davies. I like Master of the Rings.... but that's all I can really comment on for now.... lol. I have a bunch of these Deris ones on the want list.

For me it's hard to rank them all, because I gave not so much attention to the Deris albums. I started with Keeper 1 back in 1987. I would put Walls and Keeper 1 and 2 on the first 3 places, but depending on my mood, Walls or Keeper 2 is on the top position.
I liked Dark Ride a lot, I hate Chameleon and Pink Bubbles. The rest of the albums I have to hear so say anything about it. But I now put all albums on my USB drive to hear them all in my car (in chronological order).'

Refering to the EP, in my opinion there are pure gold in this debut album (Starlight, Victim of Fate, Cry for Freedom...), so I consider that it has enough quality to be included in that ranking. I don't know why Michael Kiske had two of the best albums with Keepers 1 & 2 and two of the worst albums by Helloween. I really enjoy Keepers 1 is my #1 Keepers 2 is my #2. All the rest are tied for 3rd overall.

I love Helloween! And I do like keeper 2 better than one. But it was the first Helloween I ever got and on cassette. I didn't get into newer stuff til Straight out of Hell. And I totally agree , Don't sleep on the Andi material. Apparently I need Master of the Rings and The Time of the Oath. Anyways such a killer band and I can't wait til they release some new studio Pumpkins United material!
