I love his books. The Shining, The Stand, IT, all scared the bejesus out of me. All of his books are scary, creepy, and spine tingling, skin crawling. But those 3 made my hair stand on end. Still do. The Stand is too prophetic for words.
the Dark Tower series is my favorite Stephen King story, it's got lots of characters from his other books, the Priest from Salem's Lot, Randall Flagg from the Stand is one of the main bad guys, it's so good
Interesting enough: The Imp that is Randal in the 'Stand' is the same Imp in many other King novels. IT. Dark Tower. Ect. It is a force of evil beyond time, place, & realities that serve the C.K.

*The Stand* was the first Stephen King book that I ever read. It was recommended to me by a little old lady branch librarian at the Seattle Public Library a block away from my rooming house. I read it all the way through non-stop over 36 hours in July of 1979 when I left the military at Ft. Lewis, Washington.
Nick, Tom and Stu, and the Judge will always be my favorite gentlemen characters in the stand. Mother Abigail is my favorite lady . Just a sweet soul having to face horrible odds
When an upscale is properly applied to older film footage or old video game assets, it can really be a beautiful thing. Thank you for taking the time to make and upload this.
I was the same on both the first version and The Complete Stand release. Truth be known, I couldn't put down any of his first 10 novels. Thank you, Mr. King
I read the book in Jail. 2003, after this movie was made. I didn't see it but the book l got had a black and white pencil drawing each chapter and now after watching this version l can remember each chapter's depictions and the one that stuck with me the most was of "Trashcan Man" on his ATV 4 wheeler carrying the bomb.. Loved the book and enjoyed this movie just as much. Much appreciation to Stephen King and his incredible mind.. 🎉❤🎉
The clarity and smoothness on this version is fucking brilliant. Makes it look 10 years younger! Thanks for this bro! Also this version is way better than the 2021 version people ❤

This is hands down the best mini series I have ever watched. I loved Ruby Dee as Abigail. She was perfectly cast. I liked it so much I even read the book. I'm not much of a reader. I think it took me 2 weeks to read. Loved it too.
This looks far better than the OG on TV did! Fantastic conversion of King's finest work imo. Thanks so much N! The version of the story is soooo much better than the newer one too!
Was waiting for Stephen King to appear and he eventually did at 3.14.28 driving the truck. He does what Alfred Hitchcock used to do ie appear in a cameo role. Thanks for opportunity to watch the whole thing with no ads. Absolute heaven! 😊
Even the sound is better. It's so good that you can actually hear the parts of the casino that are still open to public during filming when Trash arrives in Vegas. If you turn up the volume, you can hear slot machines, people talking and a phone ringing.
It was my number one favorite for many many years and I loved the first edition. I would tell my uncle to wait and he could read my books as soon as I finished it and he would tell me the same thing. Neither of us would ever wait. We both bought first editions when they first came out. Our love for reading Stephen King books exceeded our many other common interests. I can’t imagine reading without thinking about my Uncle. We both agreed it was best to just give the books away when we finished because who knows how many other people would learn to love reading as much as we did. There are so many great books and great writers don’t hold onto a book because you never know who will read it and keep the cycle going and going.
So many iconic stars in this I watched the new stand and then now this both are great in there own way but the attention to character in this is so good and they take more time with everything a slow build up of tension, where as the other one is more about flash and great visuals but still both have there own merit

What a great series and cast! I can't believe I never saw the whole series until now, but glad I finally did... A lot of things in the series seem so relevant to the times we live in now, And is a classic Good vs Evil tale that I think would not be a bad Idea to play in some churches that would be willing to open their minds to it and attract a lot of younger people with it's modern tale of God and good winning out over evil and how this story makes a big point of needing faith and sacrifices made for the greater good... Funny how this I feel is a truly good TV series to show to others as a tool to help lead some to GOD while also very entertaining with it's all star stellar cast of actors and it's a great story ...

I had a friend who dreamed she was watching a Stephen King movie at a theater, and she turned to the person sitting beside her, and it was Stephen King! Years later, I still have to laugh about it
I love his books. The Shining, The Stand, IT, all scared the bejesus out of me. All of his books are scary, creepy, and spine tingling, skin crawling. But those 3 made my hair stand on end. Still do. The Stand is too prophetic for words.
the Dark Tower series is my favorite Stephen King story, it's got lots of characters from his other books, the Priest from Salem's Lot, Randall Flagg from the Stand is one of the main bad guys, it's so good
@@High-Overlord-Snarffie-Pug My favorite series, also. They really screwed up the movie version, though.
Interesting enough: The Imp that is Randal in the 'Stand' is the same Imp in many other King novels. IT. Dark Tower. Ect. It is a force of evil beyond time, place, & realities that serve the C.K.
King is a creep
I just love anything by Stephen King and i'm watching this masterpiece September 2024.. Thankyou so very much for sharing this!😊
Me too
Great movie
Stephen King is tge best
Thankyou also for shareing this wonderful movie
The part with Rae flowers is so amazing and badass. She stood her ground!!
Us New Englander's got moxie.
Remember watching this on broadcast tv back in the 90"s.... Thanks for posting
CBS
@@gaylehudson7267you remember? Impressive
@@annacostello5181 But I really thought it was made around 85, rather than 94. CBS had all the best tv movies and mini series back then. Lonesome Dove was CBS.
I read this book for the 1st time when I was 16 and have watched this movie roughly once a year since it aired in"94"… and I still enjoy it as if it's my 1st watch!!!!
M-O-O-N… Spells A great masterpiece!!!!
I know for certain I’ve watched this in the last year. Such a great film, why not watch again lol
Couldn't agree more! Glad you enjoyed it. I originally enhanced the movie for my personal use but it was so good I had to share it with you all.
94. Good times. Wish I could go back. Thank you for the memories
Absolutely 💯
When movies had actors not like now
100%.
Me too, I’d be 35 years old💋
I remember reading the book, I couldn’t put it down. I love Stephen King.🤩
I was the same on both the first version and The Complete Stand release.
Truth be known, I couldn't put down any of his first 10 novels. Thank you, Mr. King
Yes, he writes some page turners for sure there have been some times I wouldn't even sleep.@@ReadyPlayerRon2000
His writing is great. Too much of a communist these days but great writing.
@@benrtomahawk A communist? Selling books is capitalism.🙄😑
Also this version is way better than the 2021 version people ❤
i jst want to say, this is the best hd upgrade ive ever seen. and this looks amazing. just wow.who ever did the switch over should be given a award.
Just watching Jamie as Randall was pure enjoyment because I kept referring to him as Flagg when he was on Law and Order and I absolutely loved him in this role. This makes the 4th time I've seen it since it first came out on TV and still love it
Yes, he was great. At his scariest when he had the shadowy face and red eyes.
I read this in 1919 (30 years old) and was fascinated by Stephen King’s writings horrors leading to moral messages. Saw the series before but this the first time all knotted together ready for the binge. It still impresses me at 75.
watching Fran singing for her dead Father was very emotional, really good actors in this adaptation, there's no doubt that Stephen King is the master of horror and suspense, i'm glad mostly all his books have a movie version. thank you for uploading this masterpiece.
AWESOME REMASTER/UPSCALE!!!! Don't know how you did it, but this is amazing work. Thanks!!!
This is hands down the best mini series I have ever watched. I loved Ruby Dee as Abigail. She was perfectly cast. I liked it so much I even read the book.
I'm not much of a reader. I think it took me 2 weeks to read. Loved it too.
It’s a righteous big book.
Considering the size and the dense plot in the book, two weeks isn't bad.
Wow seeing this in a visible resolution is a treat after watching a 720 p version
720p isnt even that bad, most of the older films on YT are 480p and lower, its like watching a potato 🥔
I thought I recognized Ed Harris as the general - uncredited cameo for him.
That's him alright.
M O O N that spells one of the best movies EVER ❤
It's a mini-series, not a movie 😁
if you don't have to wait until next week to see the next part, it isn't a mini series anymore 🤣
@@boredom.victim fair enough 🤣

This looks far better than the OG on TV did! Fantastic conversion of King's finest work imo. Thanks so much N! The version of the story is soooo much better than the newer one too!
100%.
wow incredible quality! Never seen it look this good. Still my favorite Stephen King story and adaption. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
I can't believe the picture quality either. It looks as if it was filmed today, not 30 years ago.
Was waiting for Stephen King to appear and he eventually did at 3.14.28 driving the truck. He does what Alfred Hitchcock used to do ie appear in a cameo role. Thanks for opportunity to watch the whole thing with no ads. Absolute heaven! 😊
One of the best book to movie adaptions ever made.
Gonna have to save this for a rainy day. If its half as good as the book then it’ll be worth the watch.
Thanks for the upload the quality is incredible
Glad you enjoy it!
Wow the quality, it’s so so clear!! Thank you for uploading ❤❤
Glad you like it! 😎
One of my favorite SK movies. Appreciate the work you put into it. Thank you for sharing
Even the sound is better. It's so good that you can actually hear the parts of the casino that are still open to public during filming when Trash arrives in Vegas. If you turn up the volume, you can hear slot machines, people talking and a phone ringing.
I forgot our NZ/Aussie brothers sing in this...Crowded house " Don't dream it's over' such a great song!!! Love this movie !!!!

Stephen King's movies are great, i could never get the picture like they made them in his movies so much better and great detail!👍
Been binge watching Stephen King movies. The man is GREAT. Enjoyed them all and this is Excellent. I love Stephen King. Brilliant
He supports men in dresses going in bathrooms alone with little girls. Nothing to love there!
One of the best roles Ray Walston performed. He was epic.
Very classy and talented actor.
Hey thanks for posting this. It’s one of my favourites and I watch it every year. Appreciate it. 👍🏻😎
So many excellent actors that weren’t t quite known at the time…
And one very bad actress that thankfully didn't get much work after this.
Which one@@kaptainwarp
So many iconic stars in this I watched the new stand and then now this both are great in there own way but the attention to character in this is so good and they take more time with everything a slow build up of tension, where as the other one is more about flash and great visuals but still both have there own merit
I love Steven king he's my favorite horror movie writer and book author of all time.Watched every single movie he made .My brother loves him aswell.Still watching this movie in 2024 and will continue to watch aslong as I live all of his movies 🎬. Love you Steven King your big fan ❤️ 💙.
Gary Sinise means this is the real deal Stephen King adaptation. Cant believe how good this looks - like a remake but with the OG actors doing their OG stuff! It should make you forget they tried to redo this in episode form - shame on you Amazon.....
This is such a good movie. I haven't seen it since I was little, so watching it again as an adult and appreciate it so much more!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤

this is incredible quality. thank you!! PS: I love that Joe bob cameo :)
Stephan King reads Revelation once, says oh I have a book idea...
I would have focused on Rev 2.9 and 3.9. That's what's going on now anyway.
The concept of an apocalypse, predates that squirrelly set of "visions", many prior cultures have a story version, though King is quite biblical in this one

It's another Anthrax song about a Stephen King story. The song is A Skeleton In The Closet, the short story is Apt Pupil. They made a movie from this story too.

funny how the past 20 years ago predicts the future
Book was written over 45 years ago!
Still, the best book to screen movie by Stephen King. Thank you for the video! 💜
I watched this series back in the days late at night. It was predictive if you take into account the covid pandemic. From South Africa 🇿🇦
Absolutely chilling. The similarities between Covid and the way people die in this film from thirty years ago are frightening!
Covid was a con trick perpetrated by the WEF
lol
The different comments about wearing masks were spot on🤣
That's what freaked me out. King predicted something before the Simpsons
Please. only about 1 percent of the total number of people who caught "Covid" died from it. And thats world wide. At least those countries that reported to the World Health Organization . Where as the "Super Flu" from the stand, killed a heck of a lot more. I had Covid, but because I had no other underlying health problems, and was not a smoker, I got over it. Took me three weeks, and some meds.
