God bless the Wolfe Tones and their wonderful music. Up there with the Clancy Brothers, Sharon Shannon, the Dubliners, the Chieftains, Celtic Thunder and Celtic Woman.
It was only recently that I first became aware of the Wolfe Tones. I, who love Irish music though I am an American, was familiar with the Irish Rovers, the Clancy Brothers, the Dubliners, the Chieftains, and many solo artists. But it was the Wolfe Tones' song Henry Joy I was impressed by. I turned to Wikipedia to learn about the patriot named Henry Joy McCracken who was hanged in 1798 at the age of 30. It was in 1795 that he met a man named Theobald Wolfe Tone, a leader of the Irish Rebellion, and it was that name a new group in 1963 took as their own, changing Tone to Tones. It adds to the pleasure of finding a new group to also learn where their name came from, and a new Irish patriot I had not known before.
Ahhhh God Bless The Wolfetones...made us all Irish Rhebels ...Went north tae Glesga on the Clyde to meet 300'000 Tim Malloys...BEAUTIFUL 😀😀😀🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
I'm 36 listen to the wolfetones with my son age 6 as I did with my dad age 6 ,and he will listen with his son please god..Wolfe tones music will live on forever Irelands most under rated band ,banded on free state rte ..#let the people sing.
Will never understand why the ban they only sing about the truth and history seems the truth in what they sing really hurts some folks would it surprise people that the Irish may have grievances too.

They used to be great until they split up and took the piss out off the people that paid to see them.
Agreed
They sold out after they split up with out the sound of the mandolin and his brother Derek I was very dissatisfied hearing Noel on Derek’s vocal parts
