This arc really shows bell determination and also shoucases Hestia power.

Don’t get me wrong I love Kratos as much as the next guy, but have you heard about a character named Asura from the game Asura Wrath? Because that guy has the power to take down entire galaxies. The evil gods of this anime deserve to feel the wrath of the god of Destruction.
I like her character but she is basically the Makima of this series. You DO NOT want to ever try and make something happen with that kind of person. Them being attractive or "nice" sometimes does not make up how terrible they are 99 percent of the time.
You know what, good for him. Despite everything, despite every girl he has met and found an interest in, he stays true to his feelings. He could have any girl he wants but chooses not to betray his own feelings over the one he truly loves. Usually in other harem animes the protagonist refuses to reject anyone. Kudos for this anime doing something different.

As of now here's atleast the people very important to his development Hestia the godess who took him in and acted as his guide and family, Aiz the woman he aspires to stand beside also the woman who taught him how to fight properly and learn, Syr/Horn/Freya both women responsible for his growth his ability to use magic and of course the person who granted him an opportunity to break his mold much earlier than expected, Ryu is someone who has inspired his sense of justice and determination, also someone who gave him a different reason to grow stronger; Wienne is very important also not only is she the representative ofnthe Xenos to Bell but it is his promise with her that ushers in a new age and gave him reason to oveecome the world and the divine will of the other gods she acts like his little sister of dare I say a child of his familia had xenos been given the chance. All in all if people noticed Bell is "The Hero" for the world, for the gods and for the dungeon also note the association of fire and Wind in each of the girls which is important to his view and the development of their relationship.
in the novels, Freya was trying to turn Syr Into the ultimate maiden/love interest for bell like the amount of work she put into it is insane but just for bell to reject her which in result made Freya even more batshit obsessed😂

The Freya we see most of the time in the series is the real Freya, which is why Mamamia complains that Syr is always skipping work. Horn manages the Familia, while the true Freya is always with Bell and Ryu. When Horn takes on Freya’s form, she shares her senses, thoughts, and emotions, allowing her to manage the Familia without the real Freya needing to be present. Spoiler below Horn shares the same feelings as Freya, so... ;)

The point being: Freya tried to make him fall for her "normal girl"-persona, Essentially a Light-Route....had he agreed, she would have stayed Syr for him, this is what the shapeshifter feared above all. However, given that he rejected her, she now casts that persona aside and do it as a goddess now, the dark-route.

At first I kinda wonder how Freya knows each of Bell's struggle and help her though the shadow. Like how Freya weaken and rearm that minotaur so bell can regain his confident when defeat him, or how Bell's conveniently found Grimor's when he want to learn magic, or how Freya suddenly destroy Ishtar's family when Bell's capture him. At first I tough it's just some random anime plot twist like Hermes is actually spying on Bell and relays that information to Freya, or maybe just one of Freya's man was someone really close with Bell. After this episode I just realize, that she actually hear Bell's struggle herself inform of Syr. And every Freya's involvement is make sense since Syr is the only woman on the entire series who Bell's actually tell his story too. Like she conveniently there to comfort him whenever Bell have a struggle even if she isn't part of the story arc. This is really genius
Freya was playing the long game. But, spoilers, that's only because she met Bell as Syr, had she met Bell as Freya, she would have done something else.

Originally it was a roleplaying game for her. Basically a break out of her goddess duty and position. Basically the alluring prideful side was the way she was forced to behave because of her position. But her Syr side is when there is nobody monitoring her actions and she could be free, she fell in love with Bell by accident. The friendship with Ryu and her friends was also the accident that she shouldn't supposed to care. Syr is her true personality, while as Freya, she needed to behave so that it suited her divine position.
The fact that she probably would've won had she just waited. The only reason she got rejected was because Bell hadn't finish his goal of reaching Aiz level. But in all the story her and Ryuu are the ones that had more events with Bell.
The plot twist that I was more shocked about wasn't the fact that Freya and Syr were the same person, but that it was some random chick name Horn that we only know two episodes in season 5, who was once the original Syr that got me surprised most of all. To think that this entire time he has never been loved by the real one to begin with that's really unfortunate.

I fking knew it, since the first episode, because of the 1 frame where Freya's eyes is the only thing visible, and after that, syr appears out of nowhere
I don't care what anyone says, Freya/Syr is a brilliant written character and the revelation was a magnificent plot twist carefully planned (in the novels even better). You have to rewatch the scenes of Syr from before the revelation and everything feels different but remember: that trolling, cheerful and caring girl is a true side of Freya, as much as she denys it, because she's a prideful goddess. And the confession of her feelings and the rejection would have been the main topic of the conversation if not for the plot twist and what happens latter, but doesn't mean it has less value.
Season 5 Spoiler (SPOILER TAG, OPEN AT YOUR OWN RISK): Syr is actually Freya in disguise. Freya has 2 personalities. One which she uses as Syr, and the other when she’s her normal self. This is also how she came to know about Bell’s capture by the Ishtar Familia. When Hermes was asking to Mia Grande to send a message to Freya, Freya was already in front of him disguised as Syr. The real Syr is actually a different person whom Freya met years earlier and took her body/face in exchange for the real Syr (Now named Horn/Nameless) being able to transform into Freya. Moving on to what happened (The main plot of Season 5) Syr asks out Bell on a date which prompts the Freya Familia to target him in the form of Hedin training Bell to take Syr (Freya) out on a date. The date goes fine till both Bell and Syr go missing (hiding from the freya familia). Battles occur and Ais and the Restaurant Crew (Ryu, Anya, Chloe, Lunor) intervene and fight the Freya Familia. Bell and Syr escape to an Inn where Syr comes clean and tells Bell about her feelings for him. Bell becomes flustered and unsure about what to say and plays it off, stopping Syr whenever she makes a move on him. Next day, (Yes they slept together, No Bangbang tho) Syr escapes the Inn to test whether Bell would come looking for her or not. Bell looks for her but comes in contact with Horn who disguised as Syr, (well she is Syr in the 1st place) tries to take Bell’s life but is stopped short by the Freya Familia (Vana Freya, 4 mini Knights, and Cringe black man(forgot their names).) Bell confused about whats going on, protects Syr (Horn) from harm and the restaurant crew joins in the fight. The Restaurant crew engages the Freya Familia but get obliterated soon after. Ryu, Chloe, Anya, and Lunor get left barely alive after. Its also revealed that Anya is actually Vana Freya’s younger sister and that the Restaurant Crew were actually former members of the Freya Familia (Not including Ryu). The Freya Familia leaves and pursues Bell and Syr (Horn). Syr (Horn) attempts to kill Bell but her attempt is foiled by Bell who knew she wasn’t the real Syr (Freya). She reveals her identity and lets Bell go, telling him this was a game she played. Bell went off and soon later, The Freya Familia arrived and left Horn barely alive, punishing and scolding her for what she has done (Her attempt to kill Bell and pose as Freya). Bell finds the real Syr (Freya) and thats when she finally confesses her love for Bell. Bell rejects her love and leaves. Later, Syr (Freya) reverts back into her original form and declares a War Game against the Hestia Familia with her goal being having Bell all to herself. Mia Grande, finding out about how the Restaurant Crew were beaten up joined with the Hestia Familia where she revealed she was the former Freya Familia captain (Before Ottarl took her position). The war game ensues and The battles took place. Bell, Mia Grande, and Ryu VS Ottarl Bell VS Vana Freya Ryu VS Cringe BlackMan Welf, Haruhime, and the others VS 4 Mini Knights and the rest of the Freya Familia During the war game, Haruhime’s level boost gets leaked and she becomes the main target. A system consisting of Bell, Mikoto, etc is put into place to protect her. More battles and fights ensue and in the end the Hestia Familia comes out on top and wins the war game. The Freya Familia is disbanded and the members go their separate ways. Freya decided to leave Orario but is convinced to stay by the restaurant crew (Which she does). Freya accepts that Bell can’t love her and that he loves someone else and lives with it. Her 2 personalities merge and she becomes a new person. Hermes possibly comes up with something. Hestia Familia rises to the top familias of Orario along with the Loki Familia and Others. SEASON 5 ENDS Season 6 possible plot: Adventurer school institute, More insight into the Zeus and Hera Familias, the possible comeback of Zeus (Bell’s Grandfather), and an insight to Albert Waldstein (Ais’s Father), and The Black Dragon.

For those who don’t understand - when Horn says “I don’t want her to become some normal girl”, she means she doesn’t want Freya to fall in love with anyone because that’s what makes her so charming She thinks she’s perfect being single and that sort of godly woman out of everybody’s reach Her seeing Freya actually able to fall for someone (like Bell), sort of disillusions Horn and unknowingly makes her take Freya out of the pedestal she put her on
If you think about it, its basically an insult for her who wants to be a goddess because a real goddess wants to be like her. Its like the same feeling you get when you hear rich people whining about money doesnt bring happiness 😂
first off, there's no one in danmachi I hate more than horn, and I'm sure you guys will understand why eventually. and uh oh this is what i havent been spoiling, and now it begins freya finally going batshit crazy. the only difference between her and everyone else so far in the series who tried to take bell, is that she has way more control over orario, and is way smarter and manipulative after all freya is also known to be syr in norse mythology if you think about it this way trying to make bell fall in love with her as syr was like the only chance she gave him to let her have him without any consequences that effects the one ones he cares about or orario when he rejects her, not knowing its freya, she basically shifts to plan B which is a scheme that'll hurt people he cares about. not to mention, people are always in love with freya for her beauty and seductiveness. her love for bell and their relationship to her has become so special, cause it felt more genuine than just someone being sexually attracted to her ...its almost sad even. cause she was very clearly enjoying herself, and looked clearly in love with bell. cause shes never had a normal love with someone. i dont want her to be kicked out of orario, and really hope she can still be involved with bell some how, but not in a bad way. I cant say that she deserves it, but she definitely needs to have the feeling of true love. cause all the love shes involved with isnt true.

All in all if people noticed Bell is "The Hero" for the world, for the gods and for the dungeon also note the association of fire and Wind in each of the girls which is important to his view and the development of their relationship.

Originally it was a roleplaying game for her. Basically a break out of her goddess duty and position. Basically the alluring prideful side was the way she was forced to behave because of her position. But her Syr side is when there is nobody monitoring her actions and she could be free, she fell in love with Bell by accident. The friendship with Ryu and her friends was also the accident that she shouldn't supposed to care. Syr is her true personality, while as Freya, she needed to behave so that it suited her divine position.

I fking knew it, since the first episode, because of the 1 frame where Freya's eyes is the only thing visible, and after that, syr appears out of nowhere
I don't care what anyone says, Freya/Syr is a brilliant written character and the revelation was a magnificent plot twist carefully planned (in the novels even better). You have to rewatch the scenes of Syr from before the revelation and everything feels different but remember: that trolling, cheerful and caring girl is a true side of Freya, as much as she denys it, because she's a prideful goddess. And the confession of her feelings and the rejection would have been the main topic of the conversation if not for the plot twist and what happens latter, but doesn't mean it has less value.
Season 5 Spoiler (SPOILER TAG, OPEN AT YOUR OWN RISK):
Syr is actually Freya in disguise. Freya has 2 personalities. One which she uses as Syr, and the other when she’s her normal self. This is also how she came to know about Bell’s capture by the Ishtar Familia. When Hermes was asking to Mia Grande to send a message to Freya, Freya was already in front of him disguised as Syr. The real Syr is actually a different person whom Freya met years earlier and took her body/face in exchange for the real Syr (Now named Horn/Nameless) being able to transform into Freya.
Moving on to what happened (The main plot of Season 5)
Syr asks out Bell on a date which prompts the Freya Familia to target him in the form of Hedin training Bell to take Syr (Freya) out on a date.
The date goes fine till both Bell and Syr go missing (hiding from the freya familia). Battles occur and Ais and the Restaurant Crew (Ryu, Anya, Chloe, Lunor) intervene and fight the Freya Familia. Bell and Syr escape to an Inn where Syr comes clean and tells Bell about her feelings for him. Bell becomes flustered and unsure about what to say and plays it off, stopping Syr whenever she makes a move on him. Next day, (Yes they slept together, No Bangbang tho) Syr escapes the Inn to test whether Bell would come looking for her or not.
Bell looks for her but comes in contact with Horn who disguised as Syr, (well she is Syr in the 1st place) tries to take Bell’s life but is stopped short by the Freya Familia (Vana Freya, 4 mini Knights, and Cringe black man(forgot their names).) Bell confused about whats going on, protects Syr (Horn) from harm and the restaurant crew joins in the fight.
The Restaurant crew engages the Freya Familia but get obliterated soon after. Ryu, Chloe, Anya, and Lunor get left barely alive after. Its also revealed that Anya is actually Vana Freya’s younger sister and that the Restaurant Crew were actually former members of the Freya Familia (Not including Ryu). The Freya Familia leaves and pursues Bell and Syr (Horn).
Syr (Horn) attempts to kill Bell but her attempt is foiled by Bell who knew she wasn’t the real Syr (Freya). She reveals her identity and lets Bell go, telling him this was a game she played. Bell went off and soon later, The Freya Familia arrived and left Horn barely alive, punishing and scolding her for what she has done (Her attempt to kill Bell and pose as Freya).
Bell finds the real Syr (Freya) and thats when she finally confesses her love for Bell. Bell rejects her love and leaves. Later, Syr (Freya) reverts back into her original form and declares a War Game against the Hestia Familia with her goal being having Bell all to herself. Mia Grande, finding out about how the Restaurant Crew were beaten up joined with the Hestia Familia where she revealed she was the former Freya Familia captain (Before Ottarl took her position).
The war game ensues and The battles took place.
Bell, Mia Grande, and Ryu VS Ottarl
Bell VS Vana Freya
Ryu VS Cringe BlackMan
Welf, Haruhime, and the others VS 4 Mini Knights and the rest of the Freya Familia
During the war game, Haruhime’s level boost gets leaked and she becomes the main target. A system consisting of Bell, Mikoto, etc is put into place to protect her.
More battles and fights ensue and in the end the Hestia Familia comes out on top and wins the war game.
The Freya Familia is disbanded and the members go their separate ways. Freya decided to leave Orario but is convinced to stay by the restaurant crew (Which she does). Freya accepts that Bell can’t love her and that he loves someone else and lives with it. Her 2 personalities merge and she becomes a new person.
Hermes possibly comes up with something.
Hestia Familia rises to the top familias of Orario along with the Loki Familia and Others.
SEASON 5 ENDS
Season 6 possible plot: Adventurer school institute, More insight into the Zeus and Hera Familias, the possible comeback of Zeus (Bell’s Grandfather), and an insight to Albert Waldstein (Ais’s Father), and The Black Dragon.

Just to get Bell? she will forever be cold looking down on people, while hanging out with bloodlust servants; like are you saying after 4 seasons, she doesnt feel anything toward her friends?, those are actual friends.

Syr isn't gone fully. Those emotions as a simple girl are still there inside Freya, she's just hell bent on having Bell as hers and it's all she's focused on.
she cares for Ryu, she cares too much for her, she's even willing to share Bell with her iirc. Goddesses can't have children, but she's ok for ryuu to bear Bell's kids

For those who don’t understand - when Horn says “I don’t want her to become some normal girl”, she means she doesn’t want Freya to fall in love with anyone because that’s what makes her so charming
She thinks she’s perfect being single and that sort of godly woman out of everybody’s reach
Her seeing Freya actually able to fall for someone (like Bell), sort of disillusions Horn and unknowingly makes her take Freya out of the pedestal she put her on
If you think about it, its basically an insult for her who wants to be a goddess because a real goddess wants to be like her. Its like the same feeling you get when you hear rich people whining about money doesnt bring happiness 😂

freya finally going batshit crazy. the only difference between her and everyone else so far in the series who tried to take bell, is that she has way more control over orario, and is way smarter and manipulative
after all freya is also known to be syr in norse mythology

trying to make bell fall in love with her as syr was like the only chance she gave him to let her have him without any consequences that effects the one ones he cares about or orario
when he rejects her, not knowing its freya, she basically shifts to plan B which is a scheme that'll hurt people he cares about.
not to mention, people are always in love with freya for her beauty and seductiveness. her love for bell and their relationship to her has become so special, cause it felt more genuine than just someone being sexually attracted to her

cause she was very clearly enjoying herself, and looked clearly in love with bell. cause shes never had a normal love with someone.
i dont want her to be kicked out of orario, and really hope she can still be involved with bell some how, but not in a bad way. I cant say that she deserves it, but she definitely needs to have the feeling of true love.
