    I bought my very first aguacate tree this year just because of your video! We just moved two years ago from Phoenix to my late brothers house that sits on our family land here in Goodyear we have 5 acres total but I'm starting with trees first then a garden. I hope to be half as good as you are! Great videos keep up the good work!

      That makes me so happy to hear!! Trees are such an incredible investment for all gardens and hands down my favorite thing to plant! One day I hope to buy a few acres as well to grow tons more fruit trees and create secret gardens all over the place! I wish you the absolute best of luck on your orchard and future garden ☺️

    Hello Star. I just came across your channel and watched a few videos. I love the way you do your videos. This one reminded me of Suburban Homestead, because Siloe the creator does some of his videos like this, where he shows you the the progression of the tree through out the season. Of course another creator in the gardening world that does these type videos and probably did it first is non other than Mr Charles Dowding.
    Your videos though have their very own wonderful signature on them. Thank you!👍🏼☺️💗

    Hi! I just found your site and I absolutly love it. You explain so well and with a fun touch . Your garden is wonderfull,all clean and your plants are beautifull and healthy !
    I have a wonder about your fig trees . They are in the chade in the video but do they have some sun in a day and so wen and how long ? If I ask all those questions it's because I have a fig tree and it gave me only 2 figs ,delicious, but since it gave no fruits 😢. I have to keep it inside during winter because here it's freezing in winter, Canada. If you have an idea to help me I would really appreciate it.
    Please dont change you are a wonderfull person who help others and make us pass a nice day because of you. Thank you and may God bless you ! 😊

      Buena suerte! You’ve got this☺️
      This is the first year I root prune these trees! They’ve been in their 15 gallon container for over 2 years now and truthfully, I probably wouldn’t have had to root prune yet if it hadn’t been for my watering practices. When I first started gardening about 2 years ago I didn’t know how long to water these containers and how often. During the summer I’d lose track of the days and realize they needed water once they were already wilting. This made their roots grow even more in search for water so they filled the containers faster. then I spent their first whole year and a half basically figuring out how to water them automatically and messing around with the times. This helped out tons but the containers were mostly roots by that point and very little soil. Because of this, they wilted occasionally and produced very small figs, many of which dried up quickly during the hotter summer days and the trees slowed down growing significantly.
      Now that they’ve been root pruned and I know how to water them better and more strict about fertilizing, I’m hoping not to have to root prune for another 2-3 years. But if I notice any signs of them slowing down, I’ll root prune again the following winter! I’m basically just gonna go by the signs of the tree ☺️

    Do you have any videos on citrus? I have a mandarin that I need to repot and fertilize but I'm not sure where to start. The dirt looks like it is clay? The tree was given to me by an uncle that had no space for it and I want it to thrive

    Where do you find those type pots and am I able to plant all fruit trees in pots?

    • @DiariesofaPlantGirl
      @DiariesofaPlantGirl  Рік тому +1

      I bought them from the greenhouse megastore online and every single fruit tree I’m growing is in a 15 or 25 gallon container ☺️ trees that are vigorous growers may need root pruning every couple of years.

    How do you mix all of that w/o measurememts ? Thats very dangerous. Just put the trees in the ground already. Are you still going to be rot pruning a 5+ year old tree? 🤔🤔

    • @DiariesofaPlantGirl
      @DiariesofaPlantGirl  Рік тому +7

      Everything you see in this garden is grown in potting soil I mixed myself. I will never tell others what to do in their garden, only show what I do in mine. If you don’t agree with any of the practices, you don’t have to follow them. in 5 years, my goal is to buy a piece of land so I can plant trees in ground. Until then, yes I will be root pruning. ☺️
