Got the 14 Plus coming from an XR. I absolutely LOVE the battery life, the size, and camera. I'm not a gamer or person who necessarily needs the extra features so I'm perfectly content with my upgrade.
I went from the iPhone 11 pro max and I've recently got the 14 plus and it's so good I love it the battery is fantastic and for cheaper price to I hope they continue of making this size the the normal iPhones because I love having a big screen 😆
Can't go wrong with either phones, 14 plus is a great deal for people who just want a lighter phone, bigger screen and battery life. Imagine having a huge battery at the same time it is lighter.
The 14 Plus is actually a good phone for someone (like older adults 👵 who don’t care about all the flashy features) upgrading from a 7, 7-Plus, 8-Plus, X, XR, XS and XS Max. Like you said, people who don't care about dynamic island, pro-motion, always on, triple cameras and A16 Bionic won't notice the difference. I’m waiting 2 more weeks for the 14 Pro Max, coming from the 11 Pro Max.
My thoughts exactly. I’m 71 an I hope the speakers are as nice as stated. So the 14 plus came today. I have an 8 plus that looks new. But att&t is giving me 350$ trade in. I don’t see that happening in a year as the $350 cut off point was the 8. The 10 was just 350$ also. I know 5 g is not everywhere but maybe I can get some use
In Canada, I returned my $1750 taxes in iPhone 14 pro max 128, and went to Costco in Ottawa and bought the 14 plus on 2 year Virgin contact. It was $485 plus tax up front, and $33 a month for phone and $45 a month for 15GB plan. This helps initial sticker shock. It’s always best to buy outright, but if you can’t, this is way better imo.
I bought the 14 plus a few days ago and I have no regrets so far. I know very well that I’m not going to use all of those features the Pro max has, so the 14 plus is just perfect for me!
Major factor in devices: if the devices were going to be exactly next to each other, device temperature could vary due to the vent on any certain device. If a vent is covered, the device could potentially overheat, and would possibly have to work out its battery much more for the same activity, reducing the prolonged usage. Adding some space can allow air to flow in on both devices since it would definitely be tougher to do when right next to each other.
There are no vents on an iPhone only cooling tubes. iPhones have passive cooling and cool using the body of the phone, not air. There is no fan or vent
@@Danker19991 which is why there is excess battery drain. It could probably be a reason why battery health is reduced when using a certain app that takes a lot of battery. If they did have a cooling structure, battery health management and usage would be far different and the structure would be far bigger. So basically, the best way temporarily for now, might be to keep the phone off bulky cases and to not go on apps which probably produce excess heat as much possible.I hope what I said is right,
@@tristazmista I know it sounds ridiculous, but with batteries getting bigger and bigger technically almost every year inside phones. More heat is being produced, reducing battery health after prolonged use. If the battery is in the right temperature, then chances are battery will do well and will receive less damage
I came over from the I phone 6, the 14 pro max is a huge upgrade. The battery life is amazing charged up to 100% at 7 am and by 4pm it was on 87%. The camera is much better quality and videos too. I guess those with more recent I phones, might not feel the difference
how much battery you drains really does depend on what you're doing on your phone and for how long, you probably weren't doing much on it, even tho the battery life is great!
48 Megapixel main camera, 3x optical zoom, ProRAW, ProRes, Cinematic 4K, Action Mode, A16 Bionic, Dynamic Island, better macro & night time photography, higher screen brightness, and silky smooth 120 Hz ProMotion OLED display (my favorite feature) are reasons to get the iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max. If you don't care for those, you should get the other models.
The only relevant thing for me is 120hz but is it really worth paying 50%( ~600$) extra for 14 pro max(which is extending my budget) just for that??... it's expensive here in india.. Also the 13 pro max is only ~100$ cheaper than 14 pro max so I'm not considering 13pm
I and a co worker got new phones a couple days ago on the same day(not on purpose). I got the iphone 14 pro max and she got the 14 plus. She let me see her phone to compare and right off the bat I couldn’t see too many differences. Honestly I only really held it for about 5 mins but in that amount of time I didn’t see much difference. So I told her I will research it and let her know tomorrow. Now I have some info to give her. 👍🏾
14 Plus perfect for most users. I have 13 mini but just want better battery life and bigger screen. I’m not a professional photographer or gamer etc.. I can still take good pictures, listen music , read emails etc. Does the apple marketing make us feel like we need all these additional features ? Also like the fact it is so light
I have the 14 Pro Max and the one thing I notice is that I can never go back and use a phone that does have a 120hz display. This display has spoiled me beyond belief! I’m in love with this phone!
One thing about this channel: more than 60% of the time they did not expect the thing that’s going happen and that’s the title of most of their videos! I’m a fan and watch them but please choose new titles!
Meh. So what? I watch max techs videos regardless of whatever you think is being click baited. Just enjoy the videos and don’t worry about the marketing. If you ever own a business in the future you’ll understand more and you’ll question less
Maybe we'll do a video on this sometime, but we've explained it at length in many comments. The short of it is that Google has changed the algorithm and has forced creators to change or die out, and many previously popular channels that haven't adapted now get 1/4 of the views they used to and some 1/10th while they are still creating great content. They have had to lay off employees etc. and its a same. Blame UA-cam. For us, we are still creating detailed content that we are proud of. As for the "Not what we expected" there are numerous things in this video that we were legitimately not expecting. I did not expect the speakers to be just as good as the Pro Max. In the past, "Pro" iPhones have always had better speakers even if they are the same size. Now the 14 Plus has better and louder speakers than the 14 Pro, while the 14 has the "worst" speakers (that are still good compared to other brands). We didn't expect the 14 Plus display to be way brighter than the advertised 800/1200 Nits compared to the 14 Pro Max's 1200/2000 Nits. I also didn't expect the 14 Plus to heat up so fast and dim the screen so much more than the 14 Pro Max after just a few min of graphics testing even though it has a weaker A15 Processor. I also didn't expect the camera system to do as well as its doing (I'm editing the camera comparison now). Yes, our titles are "clickable" but they are not clickbait. Thank you for your viewership we appreciate you and your support!
@@MaxTechOfficial i understand it’s getting tougher with the algorithm now, and as a full time job you need to do what you can do keep the views up. I love your content by the way, especially when Vadim does deep dive research to try and figure out what’s coming from apple next. Keep it up!
@@MaxTechOfficial You are right, BUT if you are doing UA-cam just views you shouldn’t be. YT channels should have a loyal fan base who actually care about you and your vids rather than stupid clickbait.
@@kayaedwards. no I don’t think so! It’s a job and the main goal is money! I like their channel and bought my 14 pro and watch se 2 based on their recommendations. I thought maybe a bit of extra time on title naming wouldn’t be a bad idea!
I have a 13 pro and my wife has a standard 13. The weight difference is considerable! You certainly get what you pay for with the pro, very prestigious feel to it
@PEANUTS ™ the standard iPhone is not made of carbon or anything good for that matter, that’s my point, it’s just cheap Chinese plastics. A toy 12guage shotgun must be premium too, as it’s lighter than a real one 😂
I was going to get the 14 Pro, but my carrier offered a huge sale on the 14i; it’s underrated, super fast, amazing battery and screen…. None of those pro features make ANY real world difference except the cameras, but the 14 has good cameras too, plus it’s WAY lighter, a bonus!
What it really comes down to is this. If you put a case on both these phones …..Outside of the dynamic island, you will never notice the difference in these two devices unless you’re actually looking for them.
I just bought a 13 pro max and I am loving it. I’m coming from a SE, so this is one huge step for mankind with me. I could’ve got the 14 plus but chose 13 pro max instead nstead
I got the plus yesterday from the 11 pro max. I don’t use the cam as much anymore and do not game. big upgrade from 11 and I’ll use until 15 comes out next year hopefully with a better design and USBC. Super happy
I updated from the iPhone 11 pro max to my 14p and it's good for gaming if you get the MagSafe battery pack because my phone hasn't died since Christmas 5 says ago I'm still using the same battery from when I first opened the dam thing 😂
I think the only reason to go with a regular 14 or 14 plus model is solely for the lighter weight. That’s it. I personally believe they intended more differences to bring more people over to the pro models. Once I went pro, I couldn’t go back. By the way, the thing about the screen brightness - the extra brightness feature is only active when the phone senses you’re in direct sunlight (meaning sunlight directly on the screen) then it automatically gets brighter. If the phone doesn’t sense sunlight on the screen, it doesn’t get brighter.
The iPhone 14 plus is a really good phone, it checks all the boxes and will last for a long time. If you are eager for the new feature like the camera on dynamic island, go for the 14 pro max or 14 pro because that will satisfy you although think about what you will actually need and notice. Instead of spending the extra $200 you could buy an Apple Watch or AirPods which could make more sense and you’re still getting a really good phone, but it honestly depends on what you think is best for you and your budget.
Currently watching this on my 14 plus that came today and…I love it! People kept telling me that I should get the 13 pro max or even the 14 pro max but I just wanted a bigger phone. I don’t need the extra camera or the 120hz (which just hurts my eyes on a phone). I just wanted a bigger phone and was coming from a XR so this is a very noticeable leap for me. So happy they made a plus model again for the standard version for people like me that know they don’t need the “best version” just to have it.
I just got it too and am returning my 13 pro max. The weight on the plus is just perfect!! Has all the features I need and doesn’t hurt my hands. Very happy. 😁
I have an XR currently, and am interested in the new Plus size because in my country the Pro Max is just far too expensive now. I also don’t like the ridiculous weight of the Pro range, this videos conclusion isn’t wrong recommending you buy the Pro Max. But I may wait till next year when USB C arrives.
Depends how much price difference between 14 plus and 13 pro max. If minimal, easy choice would still be the 13 pro max. The 120hz promotion might not be a big deal for you, but it makes a world of a difference especially if you're gonna hold your phone long term, it will still feel snappy after how many years.
The ProMotion display is a dealbreaker for me. I don't wanna miss it. I don't get why Apple won't give it to the non-pro models. Even mid-range Android phones have 120hz displays.
@@leroyrs I'm not saying I disliked it, I'm just saying I didn't notice that I turned it off. I feel like even at 60hz the iPhone is so smooth my eyes didn't notice the difference after I disabled it.
I returned my 14 pro max. I hated many things.. the updates, the camera autofocus was terrible.. the price. I’m loving the 14 plus. The only thing I liked about the 14 pro max was better reception at work in a factory with low bars. I get a reliable signal now. The 14 plus has same modem. The dynamic island feels gimmicky just like the keybar on the MacBook pros. The overall quality of this launch was atrocious.
@@narutoninjagoandtheflashar4256 the plus is more up my alley, the only thing noticeable different in my eyes is the true motion and the divot, the camera if you're into that I'm sure is better on the iPhone14 pro max, but it's not something I personally care that much about and it's still a 24mp camera with the same features of the pro, those other two features aren't work an extra 250-300 CAD imo although I wish it did use steel for the outside, I wear a case on it anyways just a nitpick, my big thing is battery life which the plus is superior, and the OLED display which is on both
Nice comparison. I like the plus over the max. A little lighter, less expensive, just as capable in daily use. I’m not a gamer, and photos are great out of both. Thanks!
Since Apple was able to shrink the same tech into a smaller area, I would have preferred a dynamic island sized "dynamic notch". Also, the dynamic island actually sits lower on the screen than the notch. I watch a lot of shows on my phone, and the dynamic island looks like it's actually more in the way. That slim part of the screen above it is basically wasted, and it actually makes you notice it more than the notch. So yeah. I'd prefer that pill pushed up, attached to the bezel.
yup same here. dynamic island would piss me off watching 18:9 video. Plus its looking more of a gimmick each day. Ill re-evaluate my thoughts on the DI, once more developers take advantage of it with updates. Heres to hoping next years iPhone 15 dynamic island will shrink!
@@speedyg123. exactly my thoughts. It feels like a gimmick because a smaller and smaller notch is the closest thing to a full, free screen. Which was the idea starting from the X. The notch, you can get used to and almost ignore. Especially if they keep shrinking it. A cut-out on the screen, you can't not see it.
The dynamic island even has some space between the two cutouts. That means apple could have made the notch extremely small this year. Combining the two cutouts and having other tech under the display. Instead they made the dynamic island which takes up more space than the notch.
I know a lot of people are saying that you should not purchase a 14 Plus and just spend the extra $200 and get the 14 Pro Max or perhaps a 13 Pro Max. I admit with all things considered the $200 difference is not really that much more . That is if you pay full retail price for a 14 Plus, which I didn't. I purchased a 14 plus 256GB brand new factory sealed on eBay for $530 with free shipping! That's $469 less than retail and $669 less than a Pro Max, I think that is a compelling reason to consider a 14 plus over a 14 Pro Max. Since the 14 Plus is not selling very well there is a glut of 14 Plus iPhones out there to be picked up on the cheap. With that said, I love my 14 Plus, it may not have all the features of the Pro but it is still a premium phone and at $530 a bargain in my opinion.
I bought the 14 plus for my elderly mom and here are my thoughts. I think it is a really good phone for that demographic. Maybe if you are buying it for your teen also. Using it today it seemed fine, and she was upgrading from an XR so it was a noticeable upgrade for her. Now if I was buying the phone for myself I would just pay the extra $200 and get the ProMax, and I would say if you plan to get the phone for yourself just pay the extra $200. I use Android and do a lot of photo and video editing on my phone so flagship specs are really important to me.
The Dynamic Island is such a design failure. It has become nearly impossible for me to activate the Notification Center with swiping from upper screen because the space between the upper border and dynamic island is so incredibly thin. Wtf Apple!
I had the 11 pro max , 12 pro max , s22 ultra and now i have the 14plus and im not disappointed at all , all these fancy stuff there adding are just some bling bling that we can easily go without , i love my 14 plus its faster then the 13 pro max and with all the upgrade they do on the camera when you just need normal everyday picture and not zoom something 100x your good
A lot of reviewers have been dumping on the Plus, some even calling it a scam. Nothing is further from the truth. I bought the Plus and couldn't be happier with it. Here in Canada the price difference between the two iPhones is $300 so everything considering the Plus definitely makes more sense.
In Australia there is a $300 price difference too. I don't care about the camera and am not a gamer so getting the pro max was not as enticing. I just wanted a bigger screen and better battery life on a good quality phone and the 14 plus is just awesome. If you have to slow down footage to see the differences between the pro max and 14 plus, shows that the difference is minimal. Am absolutely happy with my 14 plus. The $300 I saved allowed me to buy the cases, a good screen protector and cables I needed, with money left over.
I love the dynamic island because it's actually useful as opposed to the notch but, I do wish it would become smaller or disappear when I'm watching videos. I don't think the cutouts would be as distracting as the entire pill.
The dynamic island is much more intrusive when it comes to watching video. Also while I was hyped about it, I’m listening lately to people saying that they don’t use it as much as they wanted too…
Being at top of phone kinda sucks. I went 14 plus. I don’t care about better camera, don’t care about island, don’t care about 120hz as I’m used to 60 so I won’t be missing anything. I paid £550 brand new and iPhone 15 max pro is around £1000 cheapest and I really don’t need more then 14 plus offers. I’m currently on iPhone 7 and only bad thing is battery lasts very limited time. I just hope the 6.7 inch screen don’t make the phone too big. I’ve used my brothers 6.1 inch phone and that seems fine. .6 of inch don’t sound much but lots are saying it’s just too big and they exchange it. I usually type with 2 hands anyway and I just hope I can scroll easy enough with 1 hand because I hate doing Amazon returns. Sometimes it’s dead simple and quick, others it’s a nightmare.
I had a free upgrade from my phone provider recently, and I upgraded from an iPhone 12 to the iPhone 14 Plus, which is actually cheaper per month than the iPhone 14. I love the slightly bigger screen and the OLED display. I really don’t have any Nigel’s with it. The increase in battery life is huge.
I have 14 plus its a nice buy came from 12 pro dont regret it at all i get literally a lil over a full day without charging and i like the weight of the phone how light it is and the camera amazing the other lil specs honestly isnt that drastic of a difference that the pro models have other then the camera
Really awesome comparison!!.I love how in depth and amazing your videos are!!.I appreciate your efforts and dedication!!.I am surprised by the differences-I was. It expecting that kind of dimming and all the other differences!.The speakers on the other hand were so good on the plus, for a non pro iPhone that is impressive!.Anyway I love your content-Keep it up!.
I love how the iPhone 14 plus looks. I’m not a fan of colored phones but I’m loving that purple and light blue, I think I’d get black though. However, I have the iPhone 14 pro max in gold. I dont like the gold this year , but the camera is AMAZING! I jus wish this camera was on the 14 plus model.
If you already have an ipad pro with 120Hz ProMotion screen for better multimedia consumption on larger screens, then iphone 14 plus is the right phone for you. You just don’t care about the Dynamic island, AOD and 48MP, just casual photos taking during the day of your life and just view it on your ipad pro after syncing to icloud.
As someone who got the 14 plus on a payment plan which realistically most people will. I want to say that it is an amazing phone and the battery lasts like all day long. However I do think that since I’m going to have this phone for a while I should have got the pro model since those might hold up better with future updates.
Personally, I don't have a 14 series iPhone, I have a 12 series, but I always use a solid black lock screen, so I don't see why iPhone 14 owners don't use a solid black lock screen color to save a lot more battery, you can still use widgets and see the time, and who needs to look at their wallpaper all the time anyways
The main reason I wanted the 14 plus was cause I liked the glossy finish & wanted some different colors to choose from, I’m tired of the champagne, silver or black options & I was going to go with it but I don’t like the camera on my 12 pro max so that’ll probably be the main reason I go with the pro max again although I may just wait for the 15 & see if by some miracle there are any big changes.
Was 2023 the year we all just collectively got over the the plain “pro” colors??? So many of my friends and others got the 14 Plus and we all love it. In a perfect world, id get a blue, red or pink Pro model. But for now, with the way the 14 plus was free from Verizon, and the way they all do the same sh*t, and I barely even realize it’s not a pro with the amazing camera and battery life! They gotta do something amazing for me to wanna go back to the pro for my next upgrade. P.S I upgraded from 13 Pro to 14 Plus. Some may say it’s a downgrade 🤷🏼♂️ I don’t think so.
Seems to me the “dynamic island” is just a stationary interactive notification banner & marketing gimmick declared as a premium feature. It just seems like an overhyped shortcut to a shortcut. Maybe I’m old school, but the app icon seems easy enough for me. I suppose people way more tech savvy than me love it? 🤷♂️
My favorite phone of all time was the 6s plus. Loved the big screen, then thinness and weight and it did everything I needed. Hoping the 14 plus will get me close (minus the headphone jack, sadly).
Thank you. I value your comparison views above everyone else. Screen: since getting an iphone12pm replacing a 7p I'm sceptical about claims. EVERYONE was saying you HAD to get an OLED screen. But when I compared them side by side, the difference was marginal at best and NOT something I would notice daily. Now 2 years on my view (sorry about the pun), has not changed. My wife still has a 7p so comparisons are easy to make. Yes there's a huge difference in numbers between 120Hz and 60. But it's not going to make anything load faster or make my battery last longer. I'll reserve judgement until I get a 16Ultra. Extra brightness in direct sunshine would be a major plus, if it's real!!!
OLED is definitely something I enjoy in my devices but a lot of people I've talked to about it had a hard time understanding it until I showed them was a full screen black image looked like in the dark...they thought it was interesting but definitely not a must have.
LCD phones have comparatively horrible contrast ratios and IPS glow! Whenever black elements are seen, they look grey. This affects everything from videos, wallpapers dark mode to even web browsing. IPS doesn't belong on any smartphone above £300
The price difference between the Plus and Pro Max in Europe is about ~300$, which makes the Pro Max very bad purchase. For 300$ you can buy separate camera from Canon and make 2 times better pictures....
it's not only the camera though, it is faster with a newer GPU. Dynamic island is a cool feature for some, and do you go around carrying a Canon all the time?
@@cemgokhan8139 you have a point, but the camera is actually not that much better than the one in the 13 At least not when you are not shooting at RAW and the full 40+ megapixels. Speed wise, you cannot feel any difference, trust me. At work, we have compared the devices in multiple scenarios, the speed increase is ~8-13%, this cannot be felt in any way. Even the iPhone 12 behaves the same way and the speed difference is unnoticeable because the software has not changed much. So 300$ more is not a fair or worthy price increase.
Agreed, I have the Iphone 14 Pro Max for a couple of weeks now. I love the dynamic island , the responsiveness and how well it plays my mobile games. I already notice a difference from the andriod phones I had in the past. The LG V60 phone I had, had a bigger battery but it lost more battery quicker than my Iphone. I mean the iphone lasted me longer at work than my andriod phone. I mean I know both mobile systems have their pros and cons.
So here’s the thing. If I was buying a phone, I would for sure go with the 14 plus. But, I’m getting it for free for my bday which was last Sunday. I have the choice between 14 pro max or plus without spending a dime. Now guess what I’m going for?
I ended up getting the iPhone 14 pro, sadly they were out of maxes. They only had one iPhone 14 pro left and I was deciding if I wanted or not cause I really wanted the max. But either way it was a big upgrade from my iPhone 11
It’s down to what you prefer, I like a mobile to feel heavy, lighter feels cheap, makes you think it’s not as well made when it’s not really, I thinking of of going for the I- phone 14 plus or pro max but it’s purely to do with cost, plus, I’ll put an anthracite case on it so finger marks won’t be an issue.
Just 200 USD more than the Plus variant? Wow, that difference is more than 600 USD in India. 14 pro max in india starts at 1700 USD because of the taxes.
Happy to trade that stainless steel frame for aluminium if it reduces so much weight.I put my phone in a case anyway so the extra durability doesn't mean much and the matte frame looks more elegant to me.
Exactly. Yesterday I traded in my 13 Pro Max for the 14 Plus and I can't tell you how much more I'm enjoying the 14 Plus in terms of feel and usability. Sure, the premium materials on the Pro model are nice, but the Pro Max models are so big it's absolutely a better feel in the hand on the 14 Plus.
@@aydemirilker4128 do you feel any difference between 120hz and 60hz. I wish non pro models had pro motion display… I’m planning to upgrade from 11 pro, I booked 14 pro max but it’s way too costly in my country ( around 1600$ ), so I’m thinking to cancel 14 pro max and get 14/plus instead and I will use it for atleast 2 years then I might upgrade to 16 or 17 series.
Some constructive criticism, when you put up anything with text (e.g. captions) you cutting it off before I can read it and look at the pic. Give it longer.
apple really killed the regular iphone 14s this year. they are absolutely the same with iphone 13 in every aspect except for the camera sensors but honestly you wll not see much of a difference. I'd rather buy an iphone 13 pro/pro max than an iphone 14. in my country they have the same price anyway
I hate the notch the island is so much less distracting. That notch just is horrible for watching videos, so distracting. I was a Samsung Note user till the 12 Promax and this new island makes me remember how much more I like the small cutout over the full on notch.
Coming from the Samsung Note series, the DI is definitely far more welcome than the receding hairline on the 13, and 14 plus. And one of the reasons I decided to switch back to an iPhone.
I upgraded from iPhone 11 Pro Max to iPhone 14 Plus because my phone company had a deal and I prefer the iPhone 14 Plus because I don't care much about the dynamic island and the camera. I still think it's a good upgrade because of the screen quality difference. I was wanting to get the iPhone 14 Pro Max, but I did not want to spend more money on features that I think would be useless for me as I don't play games or take a lot of crazy photos.
If you’re spending that much on the 14 max might as well get the pro max. Not that much more and it’s way better. You’re always gonna make the money back. Buy it!!
Very useful and thorough comparison and I for one will get my 14Plus instead of the Promax which is really value for money. You made my decision easy and saved me a few (100) bucks👍👍😁😁

@@billie3980 Because I don’t like Android. I ordered the 14 Pro Max.
I’m curious about the difference between this and a 13 pro max and how this would be better. 🤷🏾♂️
All of y'alls videos are so informative and to the point. I appreciate how much work y'all put into them.
So basically, the best way temporarily for now, might be to keep the phone off bulky cases and to not go on apps which probably produce excess heat as much possible.I hope what I said is right,
Vent on phone 😂😂😂
@@tristazmista I know it sounds ridiculous, but with batteries getting bigger and bigger technically almost every year inside phones. More heat is being produced, reducing battery health after prolonged use. If the battery is in the right temperature, then chances are battery will do well and will receive less damage

I came over from the I phone 6, the 14 pro max is a huge upgrade. The battery life is amazing charged up to 100% at 7 am and by 4pm it was on 87%. The camera is much better quality and videos too. I guess those with more recent I phones, might not feel the difference
i have the 7plus and want to upgrade to the 14 PM
I just upgraded to 14 plus from the iPhone 6s also! It’s a MASSIVE upgrade 😂
@@fabri1314 Wait for 15!
how much battery you drains really does depend on what you're doing on your phone and for how long, you probably weren't doing much on it, even tho the battery life is great!
What took you so long
48 Megapixel main camera, 3x optical zoom, ProRAW, ProRes, Cinematic 4K, Action Mode, A16 Bionic, Dynamic Island, better macro & night time photography, higher screen brightness, and silky smooth 120 Hz ProMotion OLED display (my favorite feature) are reasons to get the iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max. If you don't care for those, you should get the other models.
or just buy a 13 pro or pro max, even a 12 pro
I’m intrigued by the excellent speaker performance on the 14 plus. That’s probably more practical than any of the other features for 99% of consumers.
We were definitely not expecting that!
@@MaxTechOfficial is the performance the same on the regular 14 speakers?

You are one of the few reviewers that cares about Speakers , thumbs UP
I have a 13 pro and my wife has a standard 13. The weight difference is considerable! You certainly get what you pay for with the pro, very prestigious feel to it
@Garrus Vakarian when your talking carbons etc, sure… but we’re talking plastics and quality metals here
@PEANUTS ™ so cheap plastics is premium because it’s “light”?
@PEANUTS ™ the standard iPhone is not made of carbon or anything good for that matter, that’s my point, it’s just cheap Chinese plastics. A toy 12guage shotgun must be premium too, as it’s lighter than a real one 😂
@Garrus Vakarian I agree with you. I used both pro and regular model. For me I preferred the regular model
@PEANUTS ™ how am I circling back to your side… your calling a lower end scale device more premium purely based on weight..
Bro just got a 13 in disguise lol
What it really comes down to is this. If you put a case on both these phones …..Outside of the dynamic island, you will never notice the difference in these two devices unless you’re actually looking for them.
I just bought a 13 pro max and I am loving it. I’m coming from a SE, so this is one huge step for mankind with me. I could’ve got the 14 plus but chose 13 pro max instead nstead
Where did you get your 13 pro max from???

If the phone doesn’t sense sunlight on the screen, it doesn’t get brighter.
i tested the image quality of iphone 14 pro max and iphone 14 plus camera and it is the same. There is no point in overpaying.
With the carrier deals on the 14 pro’s I was able to upgrade to it for free. Going to the 14 plus would have cost me more and been a downgrade.
how is that u can’t even customize your phone we are in 2022 and still can’t put anything anywhere on the screen

Well that's just your opinion....
Do you really think that literally everyone cares about Customization ?
It is a good phone just why do you use a new 13 pro max price to buy that

But I may wait till next year when USB C arrives.
thanks , i am before a phone change and u just made my mind and many more research
Depends how much price difference between 14 plus and 13 pro max. If minimal, easy choice would still be the 13 pro max. The 120hz promotion might not be a big deal for you, but it makes a world of a difference especially if you're gonna hold your phone long term, it will still feel snappy after how many years.
Haha snap, also swapping it for my XR seems like a super solid phone!
14 plus is the best option out of the line up plain & simple majority of people won’t use the bs features that the pro & pro max offers
Thank you for letting me hear this. They are a hint different, nothing major
The 120 refresh rate alone is worth the $170 extra in my opinion.
I disagree. Especially if we're coming from samsung.
I disagree

The ProMotion display is a dealbreaker for me. I don't wanna miss it. I don't get why Apple won't give it to the non-pro models. Even mid-range Android phones have 120hz displays.
Because people are willing to pay more to get it
@@forzaski The question is if Apple will come away with it on the long run ? I don't think so.

The Notch is crap the Island is so much less intrusive!!!!...
@@Tazrian11 you're absolutely right.
Every phone is « heavy » now. My 1st smartphone's weight was 122 g (4.30 oz). This is something companies need to improve.
$530 for a brand new iPhone 14 plus??...were I live you need 1,400 euros for the 256 GB!😱
Wtf Apple!
Really love this channel. Could totally connect with this guy compared to every other reviewer. Subscribed.

Was Waiting for Disssssss 😌
Waiting for max tech next video on the comparison between iPhone 14 plus vs iPhone 13 Pro Max.
You will feel the difference in max brightness so much more when it's bright outside and you need it most
I’d rather have the notch , surely the island could still work on the old notch .
Sorry but the pill lower in the screen sucks.
My favorite phone of all time was the 6s plus. Loved the big screen, then thinness and weight and it did everything I needed. Hoping the 14 plus will get me close (minus the headphone jack, sadly).
Been waiting for this, thanks
IPS doesn't belong on any smartphone above £300
got my 14 plus yesterday !
Thanks Mr Max. I learnt heaps!
@@cemgokhan8139 you have a point, but the camera is actually not that much better than the one in the 13
At least not when you are not shooting at RAW and the full 40+ megapixels.
I got mine yesterday. I love the Island. I didn't expect anything from it, but it is very useful and fun.
Agreed, I have the Iphone 14 Pro Max for a couple of weeks now. I love the dynamic island , the responsiveness and how well it plays my mobile games.

It’s down to what you prefer, I like a mobile to feel heavy, lighter feels cheap, makes you think it’s not as well made when it’s not really, I thinking of of going for the I- phone 14 plus or pro max but it’s purely to do with cost, plus, I’ll put an anthracite case on it so finger marks won’t be an issue.
I’m thinking about the 14 plus because battery life is important to me, I want a big screen, I work in rural areas, and I don’t have time for games.
I wish non pro models had pro motion display…
I’m planning to upgrade from 11 pro, I booked 14 pro max but it’s way too costly in my country ( around 1600$ ), so I’m thinking to cancel 14 pro max and get 14/plus instead and I will use it for atleast 2 years then I might upgrade to 16 or 17 series.
Thank you for honest review
Proud Owner of Iphone 14 Plus Midnight Black edition ❤
Is this phone worth the upgrade over a 13 pro max
Some constructive criticism, when you put up anything with text (e.g. captions) you cutting it off before I can read it and look at the pic. Give it longer.
Very nice information
Great information for someone who has never owned an iPhone...but I'm getting ready to purchase the 15 pro max
apple really killed the regular iphone 14s this year. they are absolutely the same with iphone 13 in every aspect except for the camera sensors but honestly you wll not see much of a difference. I'd rather buy an iphone 13 pro/pro max than an iphone 14. in my country they have the same price anyway
I have a purple plus and the battery on this thing is insane
Hai I bought 14 plus and My screen a bit yellowish,Do u notice that?
I hate the notch the island is so much less distracting. That notch just is horrible for watching videos, so distracting. I was a Samsung Note user till the 12 Promax and this new island makes me remember how much more I like the small cutout over the full on notch.
I have a 14 Pro and even after using it for 2 weeks, I miss the notch. The dynamic island looks a bit weird and is definitely a gimmick.
I am glad you at least recognise that the island is just a gimmick, many people are just living in denial 🧐
I actually hate the dynamic island more than the notch.
Coming from the Samsung Note series, the DI is definitely far more welcome than the receding hairline on the 13, and 14 plus. And one of the reasons I decided to switch back to an iPhone.
@@coldskoolbeatz 😂 receding hairline
From upgrading from my current SE2020 to the 14 plus or pro max either way itll be a major upgrade
I have the iPhone 14 Plus in red. 128gb I have good battery life. I didn’t need the pro features. I’m loving my new purchase.
Let me be honest with you. I enjoyed your comparison video so much. Representation was definitely better compared to the other tech channels.
I don’t know if it’s too late but can you do a comparison between the 14 and 14 plus
I want the 14 pro max.. I’m sorry I never like that notch design.. can’t wait cnt to upgrade my 7 plus to the 14 pro max..
If you’re spending that much on the 14 max might as well get the pro max. Not that much more and it’s way better. You’re always gonna make the money back. Buy it!!
I am so excited to have Promotion on my iPhone 14 Pro as it’s one of my favourite features of the iPad Pro 11”.
How was your 14 pro?
@@macnobleza06 It’s great, good upgrade over the iPhone 11! I was actually impressed at how good the 48mp raw mode is. The pictures are so crisp!
Very useful and thorough comparison and I for one will get my 14Plus instead of the Promax which is really value for money. You made my decision easy and saved me a few (100) bucks👍👍😁😁
In Australia 🇦🇺 theses a $320 difference between the iPhone 14 plus and the iPhone 14 pro max 📱
