I am reflecting on what made me tearful looking at your video. It was the part where you and Winston were enjoying the water. I have lost loved ones in the last few years and have experienced trauma. I think the solitude and peace that you enjoyed in that moment made me aware that my soul needs this. Thank you.
Yesterday is but a dream; tomorrow only a vision, but today, well lived makes yesterday a dream of happiness and tomorrow a vision of hope. That was a well lived day! Bless Winston's wagging tail, it makes me smile.
It seemed like a very well equipped site but for £31.00 a night showers etc should be free. They will be charging for the views next ! The Yorkshire Dales are beautiful. I'm pleased your opinion is changing about them. Winston is so loyal and obedient. Love watching him. Thanks for posting.

I agree that at £31, showers should be included. I'm just coming back from month long trip, at all but one of the campsites that had showers these were included in the cost
That was the first campsite I have stayed at where Ive had to pay extra for showers. Although on this trip, 4 campsites out of 16 had showers that required extra money. I hope this isn’t becoming the norm 🙈 Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼

I'll have to pop that on my list.
Love your videos thank you so much for sharing..... Winston is just loving life ♥️.... So I have a pair of wet shoes that I use for kayaking, they are very light and can be clipped to your rucksack when not in use with a carabiner, ideal to slip on your feet to protect them when having a little paddle, maybe you should try some, can't wait to see the rest of your journey 🙏
Great idea! I actually have a little pair of wet suit booties that I use for paddleboarding and wild swimming, I just never thought to take them with me 🙈 TBH I didn't know I would be paddling in the water 😅 Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching 👍🏼

Glad you're enjoying our videos. I like to record from POV and just document what happens. Nothing is planned, so it makes it interesting for me too 😅 Thanks for watching.
I am a Yorkshire Dales fanatic. Used to have a caravan on Orcaber cam site. A very clean site. I do think you were unlucky with the dogs. There are many other stunning trails in that area that I think you would like. Simple but stunning - pasture, sheep, cattle, rocks, stone walls and hills. Nothing really, yet everything. Don't let the experience at Orcaber put you off.
I had a great time at Orcaber and overall I enjoyed the site and I would stay again. I think the dog situation was just unlucky that I had many barking dogs all at once. Thanks so much for watching 🙌🏼
Thank you. It's a specifically designed lifting harness. I use it lot when we're scrambling and I have to get Winston up and down large rocks and, of course, over stiles 👍🏼 Thanks for watching.
Can’t stop binging all your vlogs, we don’t even have a caravan, not yet anyway. But you and Winston are an absolute joy to watch. Looking forward to the next one. 👍🏻

Thanks for sharing the way you film. It was very interesting. Winston's treats sound gruesome but he obviously really enjoys them. Your trip seems to have got off to a great start. I think it's a cheek charging extra for showers and for them to be timed!

Free enclosed dog field more than makes up for the shower which seems reasonable if they work well... I've used free showers on sites and you got what you didn't pay for
This is a good point. However, I have stayed on campsites that have cost £25 per night and their “free” (included in the pitch cost) showers have been excellent, and I have preferred them to these ones with the rainfall shower heads (personal preference). So it can be done. But yes, paying 50p for a quality shower is better than a crappy shower included in the cost of your pitch. Thanks for watching 👍🏼😃🐶

A little late to this weeks vlog, super video again, loved seeing Winston scarpering off in the leads off field at the end, great choice off music as well, very appropriate 👌
Yet another great video Roz. I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying that we are all travelling with you. That ham sandwich butty looked good and I cant wait to see Winston in that pooch carrier! On those dry walls I was once on a solo walk over Malham Way and chanced upon a chap repairing them. Had a great twenty minute or so chat with him over how its done. What a great job.
50p for 10min does just cover the energy cost. I think it is there to prevent people from occupying the shower for hours. £31 is still a bit steep in my mind, so maybe a shower a day should be included somehow. The hidden waterfall was a little gem. Looking forward to the next part of your adventure.
I drove around the NC500 with a motor home last year. 17 stops at club camp sites over 21 days and I was amazed at the quality of facilities that were on site. From showers to laundry to restaurants…. Brilliant experience 🥰. I did not pay any extra…only laundry.
I do love club campsites. Never been to a bad one! Unfortunately, there are not always in the areas that I was to visit, but I do try to book them where possible :) Thanks for watching.
That's what I thought. If the campsite cost per night was cheap, then I could understand the extra cost for showers, but I feel they should be included at £31. Thanks for watching.
Damn right! Last month we stayed on a private adults only site amongst beautiful fishing lakes and green pastures for seven nights at £30 per night. A fully serviced level pitch with a secure dog field too for Amber our five year old German Shepherd to run around off her lead every day. Oh and the shower block is super modern. Only thing is the piped in bbc 2 radio!
Brilliant video, Roz and Winston. Amazing how quickly everywhere has dried up, after all the rain on your last adventure in Wales. The site looks immaculate, but at that price the showers should be included. Like you, I always admire and appreciate the skills that go into building drystone walls. They vary in style in different areas of UK, a lot depending on the type of stone available in each area, and the traditions going back centuries.
Glad you enjoyed the video. I didn't know that drystone walls vary, I thought it was just one technique. You learn something new every day 😀 Thanks for watching and sharing 👍🏼
Sad that in addition to the daily £31 that you have to pay for a shower. Nonetheless a beautiful site set in some of the most staggering scenery. You were very brave at the waterfall taking a paddle. My arthitic feet would completely give up😂. Stay safe. Sid and Nicola, Rugby
Enjoying your videos, I can relate to much of what you say - especially the "I don't want to I" until you're away. Personally I don't generally like or use campsites, but I can understand why many do. At £31 showers should be included. Winston is a very lucky boy, though I suspect he has a fair idea how special he is!
Sadly, my caravan isn't suited for park ups, so I need to on a campsite and the costs have gone up a lot recently. Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼 I hope Winston knows how spoilt he is, I do try to frequently remind him 😅😂
Hi Roz, when's the next episode due????? 😊You could see the difference in your eyes from the first camp, then right at the end of this video, you seemed really calm and happy. It's good to see that, I hope it continues 😊 Michael
Im enjoying this new adventure Roz, its looking really good so far, I'm just watching a film locations video on UA-cam, did you know they filmed an American werewolf in london opening scenes not far from where you was in the Brecon Beakons, just a little fun fact for you 😮
That’s interesting. I didn’t know that. However, I did know that they filmed the Batman movie with Christian Bale in the Brecon Beacons at the waterfall I walked behind; it was the batcave 👍🏼
I might be wrong, but on the vlog where Winston is in the snow, it looks like you walked on the road where the lads got dropped off in the van, its the first scene in the film, The Slaughtered Lamb pub is ten minutes away
It is nice to have your own secluded space on a site. How we agree about weekends. Today my feet are very swollen wrapped in ice cubes so imagined that lovely cool water. Just a thought , wondered why you didn't take back pack off when in water. Winston as ever adorable. Dry stone walling done most likely in cold extreme weathers. £31 doesn't seem too bad a price but the 10 min slot had us a bit concerned. Thanks again for our Wednesday night out with you both. Hope you realize just how much we enjoy coming along with you. ❤Thanks.
I do think it's a bit much to charge for showers but on a large commercial site such as that, I expect their expenses are through the roof. 10 mins is a bit mean though, 15 is enough to shower and wash you hair. It's lovely to see you travelling in sunshine and warmth for a change. I totally understand what you mean about campsite vibes - you just know when you arrive if it's going to be a positive. Look forward to part 3 :)
Hello. Glad you enjoyed the video. I probably should have taken my backpack off 😅 I just didn’t think at the time. When I’m out hiking it just becomes part of me 😅 Yes, I think the timer on the showers is more of a concern than the price. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
10min is tight to shampoo and conditioner your hair and wash body etc. especially because it takes about a minute to get the temperature of the water right 👍🏼 I was enjoying the sunshine also. Thanks so much for watching and following along 👍🏼🙌🏼🐶

Unfortunately, there are not always in the areas that I was to visit, but I do try to book them where possible :)
Thanks for watching.
Love love Winston!
At 31 pounds per night, in my opinion showers should not be extra.
I totally agree with this comment.
£31 a night is rip off!
You learn something new every day 😀
Thanks for watching and sharing 👍🏼
I have read that the drystone walls are good for wildlife too. Home for invertebrates & small mammals
Showers should not be extra; love the enclosed off lead dog park
You visit some beautiful places.
Thanks so much!
@@Roz.S Do you watch, ‘Not another white box’?
We cook pork a lot in the air fryer and find if you do it in strip's it cooks very quickly
Appreciate the tip! Thanks for watching 👍🏼
quite extroadinary how dogs go into very cold water - no toe dipping - "gosh, thats cold".
Loving the adventure so far!
If your door comes again , put broken matchsticks in the holes before screwing the door back
Thanks. I do another repair to the cupboard in a future vlog, similar to what you’re suggesting 😉
Thanks for watching
Sad that in addition to the daily £31 that you have to pay for a shower. Nonetheless a beautiful site set in some of the most staggering scenery. You were very brave at the waterfall taking a paddle. My arthitic feet would completely give up😂. Stay safe. Sid and Nicola, Rugby
Lovely photography and music 😊
Thank you so much 😀 Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼 I hope Winston knows how spoilt he is, I do try to frequently remind him 😅😂
You have to get a drone to follow you guys while going for a walk😂
Oh Roz, the idea of you sweaty/stinky feet in that water😂😂😂! Hope you filled the water bottle before doing so! Great video you two…..Cam xx💐
I contacted the local water company and informed them of a possible contamination 🙈😅
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Nice to see the UK your way...so different than America
Hi Roz, when's the next episode due????? 😊You could see the difference in your eyes from the first camp, then right at the end of this video, you seemed really calm and happy. It's good to see that, I hope it continues 😊 Michael
I aim to release a vlog every Wednesday at 6:30pm :)
Thanks for watching.
❤your creative presentation, looking forward to Your future adventures.😊
Thank you so much!
Great video. you looked so much more relaxed at the end of the video, looking forward to the next one x
I did enjoy the feeling of being at that campsite. It was much less commercialised than the previous one.
Thanks for watching.
I might be wrong, but on the vlog where Winston is in the snow, it looks like you walked on the road where the lads got dropped off in the van, its the first scene in the film,
The Slaughtered Lamb pub is ten minutes away
10min is tight to shampoo and conditioner your hair and wash body etc. especially because it takes about a minute to get the temperature of the water right 👍🏼
I was enjoying the sunshine also. Thanks so much for watching and following along 👍🏼🙌🏼🐶
@@claire7142 Its only 50 pence! Id spend £1.50 at a time myself, I love showers after a day out walking.
Welcome to the cult of the air fryer.I use mine every day.
