    Ryan Heffington may be a little weird and spacy, but if you look at his work, you'll see he's a very talented artist!
    He is the one who choreographed the Chandelier dance for Maddie... for those who didn't realize that! ;)

    I was kicked out of dance class when I was 5. YES, 5! I'll never forget it. Today, quarantined and watching Ryan Heffington's Sweat Fest and loving and actually getting the moves because of the way he describes them and teaches them. How one learns is ever so fricking important on how one teaches.

  • @paulamunhoz

    awesome. it's poetry in dancing. It goes straight into your innerness and when watching the dance, if use your mind it spoils the effect. And this video is like an explanation of something you had already understood, but couldn't put into words.

    I don't think anyone could anticipate how insightful this narrative is. It doesn't come across as didactic but helps with adding to Chandelier, as a parallel story.

  • @ChampsMusic
    @ChampsMusic 7 років тому +3

    Wow. Didn't actually noticed a lot of these moves could be described in words like that. So simple, so amazing. I especially love two specific ones. "Reprimend yourself" - I don't know if he's the inventor or did he create this just for Sia but it's practically in every performance with Maddie. Chandelier ones and for example Elastic Heart with children in boxes. I'd like to think this is what Sia actually wanted to have. Maddie acting as her inner emotions is always reprimending someone or herself. I don't know what it means to her but it's so absorbing. And in Elastic Heart she first comfort one of the children then goes to the other side to scream and reprimend the other. It really reminds me of Banks "Fuck with myself" video when she recreated her head and started kissing and destroying it. It's like how you treat yourself. The other move is "imaginary friend" or "farewell song". Combine it with the song concept and lyrics and just go and cry.
