Thank you! I really like the Durock Ice Kings they sound deep and are smooth, but they are about heavy. The Vertex V1 also sound deep like the Durock if you don’t want transparent Switches
@@tuborgselim876 the ice kings feels smoother but heavier. I didn’t get any scratchy sounds from mine after lubing hmm did you also lube or grease the springs?
@@mikeytypes I wanted a low and deep sounding switch with a little bit of pop to it. the ice kings are not very poppy tho they def makes me think the stock version is a little more interesting but the lubed version definitely is way more satisfying in my headphones. I am torn lol.
@@mikeytypes i wasnt specifically looking for transparent. I want a deep but full sounding linear switch that feels smooth with minimal wobble while being over 60g to bottom out. Havent built a keyboard in years so wanted to take the opportunity to try new switches with the new kit i plan on getting.
@@JustFluxz I have another video for top Thocky switches, maybe the Vertex V1 might be more for you or if you want more poppy the JWO Bluey Linear might work as well but the Bluey is 58g. The ice King is smooth even without Lubing though
I never tried Durock switches, I like their stabilizers. I'll have to try some out I liked how they sounded lubed. Nice video!

Hi - send a link to the wrist rest or write the brand and name please
put the link in the description 😀
hey how is you everglide aquakings mines have chalky/scratchy after lubing and if you compare aquaking vs ice king which one is smoother?
@@tuborgselim876 the ice kings feels smoother but heavier. I didn’t get any scratchy sounds from mine after lubing hmm did you also lube or grease the springs?
@@mikeytypes I lubed springs with 105 and steam and bottom housing with 205. Well if ice kings dont have any scratchy sound, I can give it a try
@ hmm if it’s scratchy it could be a bad batch or something else hard to say without actually doing it in person
Which one has better stem wobble in your opinion?
If you mean like which has the least I find that Durock ice king has the least
That keyboard is so packed with foam that it mutes any defining sound characteristic of the switches.
There are two type Durok Ice King Liner and Tactile which one the vid?
The ones in the video are linear
What plate material were you using for this test?
I’m using the POM plate in my Zoom75

I don't know why but my ice kings sound very metalic and feel mushy.
Did you do any tape mod?
The switches themselves just don't sound or feel good.
Mine are also the tactile version
@@m4gg0t18 ahhh okay hmm yeah mine are the linear ones which felt okay for me, but unfortunately I haven’t tried out the tactile ones
@ the tactile ones feel pretty disappointing to me tbh for what they cost.
