Love the commentary about clients are looking at their arms to see if they're big, and primes are for us. Soooooo true! Great reminder when I start getting 'gas' thinking I need a f1.2 or 1.4 lens. What's your feeling about third party lenses vs oem brand lenses in the Sony system?
Glad to hear it! It's so true, arms are always a concern for clients :) I struggle always with the topic,I have worked many years with third party and native. Always rocking a mix. I think for the ultimate fast-paced jobs that are time-sensitive (weddings mostly) name brand makes the most sense as the little gained by going native glass shows up only in the toughest scenarios. If it's possible you lose a shot, native is the way to go. For slower-paced jobs, like headshots, modeling, product, real estate, third party all day. I also think video performance(autofocus) also works best with native. Good video idea.
@@GeorgeDekker u can get the A7CR now, has virtually the same specs, same sensor, just missing a cpl features... i'm thinking about it, but i kinda wanna wait til Sony brings out a new sensor, like w the rumored A7S4
@@ListenHereOldMan nah. Not making that mistake again. That’s the same reasoning that landed me the a7c that i’ve been dreading for about as long as I have it. Evf is just not enough to do anything with
Are you a Prime or a Zoom shooter? What experiences have led you to switch camps?
