You could try to use the ZEISS Lens Cleaning Spray with a couple of good reuseable/washable cloths. Would really cut down on your waste 😁

These wipes are awesome, I used them to clean my projectors in my cars headlights which I did a video on in my channel
Great lens wipes BUT if you use them on something with an anti-reflective coating they will wear the coating off bc they contain alcohol. Happened to a pair of glasses I had lol :/
edit: you can buy lens wipes/spray without alcohol. That’s what I use now
I've been slowly transitioning to Mac from Windows but hadn't realised how much I relied on some of the 'quality of life' features in Windows. 'Alt Tab' is EXACTLY what I needed on my Mac - Thanks so much Sara!
Bought Magnet a few years ago and it was the very first app I installed on my new MacBook 14", seriously cant live without it especially when I use my ultrawide monitor

After years of windows usage when I shifted to Mac I realized why Windows was named windows!!! Without magnet I would throw my MacBook into the garbage

Great video just one gripe! You can do split screen in a shorter way. Just open mission control and drag the second app which you wanna splitscreen onto the first app and it will automatically give you options to snap it to the left or right. Much easier. This works in full screen only tho.
This is the reason why I need to keep watching your videos. I bought the Logitech MX Anywhere 2s mouse last month just because its much smaller than the MX Master 3. Only now I realized (thru your video) that this mouse actually scrolls horizontally. 🤪 I feel stupid for not realizing it sooner but I'm very thankful that I watched your video! in terms of sleeves i just got the tomtoc sleeve (like £20) it has so much more padding than the others at the same price point honestly such a good option
Also in terms of the two windows on the same screen just go to mission control and drag the other window to the full screen window already open, same effect. Another option to make any window full screen is to double tap the top bar. I do think that for those who don't like working in full screen magnet is better and it is more ergonomic

I also use lens wipes to clean my laptop screens. I have never encountered an issue with using them for that purpose.

Hey Sara I have a question, have you done a video on switching from Google apps to Apple apps? I’m thinking that once I’m in the ecosystem it’s better to take full advantage. Like switching from OneNote to Apple notes, google calendar to Apple calendar, gmail to iCloud mail, etc.

Good video. Still waiting for my M1 Max but I have been checking out a lot of videos about productivity apps and useful apps in general. For Todo apps I really like Joplin. The reason for this is that I am not obligated to use their cloud service. So I installed in on my NAS and made it available online (with the proper security of course). So I can still access it from anywhere (phone, desktop, laptop, anything) but have the security of not having my data in the cloud. And I can store anything in those Todos. I saw a lot of people recommending Alfred. I haven't been able to check it out since no Mac yet but it lets you do things really fast.

Alt tab is a life saver i used it from another video on this channel and It is great and free yaaay.
For window tiling is used moon it is great but now I switch to amethyst and it is great and automates the window tiling like nothing else.

I bought the "magnet" app before I saw this video. I like the magnet app as it mimics Windows solution to window placement. Good video by the way.

My girl came in clutch with that Magnet recommendation. I was looking for something like this, specially when I want to switch between applications when in split screen mode. It's such a hassle to do it the way Apple intended.
dude, try rectangle. does the same thing but its open source and free.
and im not just talking about it I use it on the new m1 pro MacBook and it is perfect literally couldn't make it better.

I have the full size MX Keys... It's the best keyboard I've ever used.
Take a look at the shortcuts on mac and ios. You can make your own muli-step macro like commands. You can even run code inside the shortcut.
Lens wipes are a game changer

You can also use Rectangle to do basically the same thing that you would use magnet for and Rectangle is free.

SSD is very nice, but for editing specific Adobe products, you cache is used on your build in disc and can't be used (as far as I know) with the very speedy external ssd (just something to know)
Still looking for a semi-rigid somewhat high quality sleeve that can also hold the power brick and an accessory or two for the 14 inch MBP :/

what case/stand do you have for your ipad?
I just purchased a Mac mini and was going to buy the standard Apple Touch ID keyboard, but after seeing that you can pair the Logitech keyboard with three different devices (along with some of the other features), I'll be ordering the MX Keys instead.
Not to mention the MX Keys have backlit keys which the Apple Magic Keyboard lacks which is absurd at its price point.
I personally went with the Vissles 75% Mechanical Keyboard which is the thinnest mechanical keyboard in the world. It shares a similar form factor to the Apple Magic Keyboard while having much better usability. But the MX Keys are a good alternative overall 😁

@Sara Dietschy If you use the magic mouse and tape on it several times, 3 times with I believe two fingers you see all the windows in small and can click to choose it 😉
You can just use a keyboard shortcut if you want to quickly use split screen on the mac. Plus it’s completely free
I use my buds pro for my macbook and iPhone and Samsung Galaxy (all easy to switch but only when you want to switch)
@Sara Dietschy, did you say the Macbook has ports and you do not need a dongle anymore? So is the Network adapter back or do you still need a NIC adapter?
