Thanks for the video. I wish I had come across it before. I was looking to trade my much loved '04 Sienna on an '11. Liked it until the rear seat came out. On the '04 - '10 the seats tumble out of the way or remove easily (once you learn the tricks) and leave a flat floor. Perfect for plywood. On the '11 the trolley that remains is, to me, stupid. You now have an obstacle to sliding in that plywood from the rear. Not to mention how "in the way" they are when loading from the side. Deal-breaker!
@@GinaKayLandis The dealer said no one else had asked about this so they were not sure how much work it actually was. They said at least the fuel tank had to be removed.
I ABSOLUTELY agree! I like my '08 way more than our '14 for exact same reason. It is absolutely illogical to leave that riduculous trolley in the floor after the seat is removed. What was Toyota thinking?!?!?!
@@curtflory7147 I also didn't like the '11 steering for some reason. I ended up with a '10. Turned out that was the last year of hydraulic power steering. The '11 and on had electric steering. Really changed the feel.
I've been looking at buying a used 2011+ Sienna. Stepping down from a gas guzzling truck and still want cargo space with better gas mileage. Glad I found out the seat track can't come out easily. I'll pass on these.
I have had this van for two years...thanks for teaching me how to use it!
i couldn't remove the other side of the seat from second row. can both of seats be removed?
Wonder why lots of sites say those seats cannot be removed due to airbags??
Cuz most car people are morons they don't really know anything about cars
Will a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood still fit when the seats are removed?
Yes with the rear door closed.
How do you remove the slide bar ?
You can't without some serious work like removing the gas tank at least.
Thanks!
And you still got the slide frame in the way. Gonna have to go with the Dodge to get a flat floor
