You managed to change my mind from buying tines or even finished antler buttons online to using the white til deer antlers I have in my workshop and fashioning my own buttons for a spectacular moose hide coat with all the buttons missing. Sure thing! The tanning of those hides is already up on the channel (look at the leather work playlist) and the making of the clothing will come soon. I started working on the buckskin leggings this afternoon!
Thank you for reminding me of this... Back in the day I used to carve deer antler to make jewelry and shelf art... I totally agree with you about elk core being spongy..lol it still has uses but not for everything... BT W I was taught rhe art by a Oglala Souix Native who qas called Uncle Johnie. Rip oldan you did well with the changing times!! Thanks again !!
