I racing also does weight transfer and the feeling of car weight the best in my opinion. But when ever I jump in AC or AMS I always start smiling!

    For me, the ACC's feedback excels over every sim, it's up there with rF2. However, AC has a 'weightier' ffb feel, making it easier to feel the suspension and the weight shift of the car better. A combination of both would be perfect. And the RSS mods are always top notch

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  Рік тому +2

      ACC literally has no dynamic range at the limit , the only thing ACC does better than AC are track bumps / suspension compression / vibrations and bumps.
      Once a car is already under load through a corner and in AC you still have detail for grip at the limit , ACC once the car is loaded into corner there is nothing.
      Honestly ACC has the least detailed FFB for actually finding and driving on the limit of any sim , it's just super abrupt and aggressive for self aligning which makes it really easy to not lose the rear.
      ACC physics are also super bland at the limit cars drive like sledges stuck in trajectories with the ocational passenger slide. This is probably why it's ffb is so bad.
      If you set up a wheel properly with AC there is no conceivable way one could come to the conclusion ACC has more information in FFB to drive from.
      Even iracing which has terrible slick tire physics and super bland ffb has way more detail and dynamic range to it's ffb than ACC.

    I've been using rF2 for the last 6+ months with GT3/GTE/LMP2/Hypercar racing (against AI). This is the first mod that's taken me away from Rf2. The stock setups are straight up garbage, I actually thought the physics was broken on all of the cars. They're setup for extreme understeer and way too safe. Changed the setup on each car I drive and they all come alive and are amazing to drive, and they sound AMAZING. Half the races I've done I'll go back to watch one or two laps of the race and then zone out and end up watching the entire race replay because the cars look so good and sound sooooooo good.

    • @BlastBeatsFTW

      Hey mate do you have any setup tips for these cars I can’t get them to handle predictably at all on the limit

    • @Hardcaslte
      @Hardcaslte 9 місяців тому

      @@BlastBeatsFTWHey yeah basically just changing the anti roll bars, differential preload, brake bias.
      Anti-roll bars the softer they are the more grip the car has in general. So if you make the front softer, it'll turn in better, if you make the back stiffer, it'll come around easier when you get on the throttle, etc. Mess around with those, in general with the GT-M cars, making the front softer helps because a lot of them are setup for understeer.
      I usually setup the differential preload to maximum nm. It makes the back of the car more controllable when you're giving it more throttle coming out of the corner. It's kind of an old rF2 cheat, but it works here too.
      Brake bias I usually set it a little more to the rear, but this is a track to track thing.
      Also, I think the AC braking physics is the issue here, but I usually max out the brake power to the 115%. I've noticed with AC you can 100% the brakes and basically never lock them up, it's not realistic that way. So I over power the brakes to make it more realistic where you need to modulate the brakes. Even with that setup, I usually have the ABS around 1 or 2. That's one of the biggest issues for me an AC is that it almost has unlimited braking in the physics system.
      Again the main thing for me is the preload and the anti-roll bar setup and getting it where the car has a little bit of oversteer. You'll feel it becomes a lot more active and you can actually spin the car if you're not being careful, or over power it on corner exit and spin it too.
      The only thing I'll say about doing all of this though is that you'll over power the AI in an AI race. When I do AI races I only change the TC/ABS/Preload/11% Brake Power/Brake Bias. Like the smaller things. If you make the car too good, the AI is way too easy to beat. But if you basically use the stock setup that they have to use, you can get some good racing in with the GT-M cars.

    I agree with the spirit of the video, but...
    AC is a very balmy sim, it's a romantic piece of software and even more with all the modding. It's a product of the combined passion of the creators and the modders.
    This mod does look and sound really nice and I am sure that it's very fun to drive, but it seems to me a romantic representation of the AMG GT3 car.
    The stiffness and emotion deprived way in how a GT3 car interacts with the track, is seemingly represented in ACC correctly, which is a piece of software which - at least in a great part of its intent - is a more clinical and cut and dry approach to simracing.
    A Venn diagram would show a very significant percentage of simracers enjoying both sims, but at the extremes you'll find two completely different types of people: "simdrivers" at the far side of AC's spectrum and "competitive simracers" at the far side of ACC's spectrum.
    The latter are attracted to the claimed precision of the simulation, even if that attempt at recreating a physical reality - simulating it - results in a sensorially pauper experience. For them, the "sole" pleasure comes from competing, having rankings, ratings, titles, ...
    So, although I do agree with the spirit, I must say that you can have both elements at a very high-level and, in my opinion, it's on rFactor 2 that you get the best sensorial experience as a whole (FFB/NewSound/Newer free and DLC content), whilst at the same time not falling prey to romanticism, to the point of distorting the simulation willingly, resulting in the quality of the simulation element on the cars which use the most recent tyre parameters, having no parallel elsewhere.

      Max Verstappen thinks AC is the best sim for training F1 and GT cars , He plays iRacing , RF2 , AC and a rather good F1 driver.
      RF2 is great in many ways as are other sims , but for driving in the dry in optimal conditions nothing captures the nature of a tire at the limit along with the FFB to drive from as you drive in real life as AC does , RF2 lacks some of the detail you have in AC1 for the limit in FFB and RF2 with many of is cars even good ones suffers from he same issue ACC,iRacing have which is cars have a set trajectory going into the corners with the driver not having full control over slip and combined slip as you have with real cars, I do think this Combined slip aspect of AC is probably from some cheesy code but the end result is a car that drives like a real car so its the best we got. ( RF2 is on another level better than ACC and iRacing though to be clear - I personally like the GT3 cars in RF2 as well )

    • @valter_vava74
      @valter_vava74 Рік тому

      @@GamerMuscleVideos I think your hardware lets you down when driving in rF2. Not sure what are your settings, but Fanatec's DD firmware is not great - at all - and you may have found the sweet-spot for AC that gives you an optimal result, whilst you could be missing the mark on rF2.
      rF2's FFB is best when you have the wheelbase's effects at zero or the minimum and just interpreting the raw FFB signal.
      Note: as i said, I really like how AC sells the illusion of driving, so I understand your point of view, but on stiffer cars it misses the mark, in my opinion and the physics, generally, are on the "friendly side". Even in mods like the vaunted IER P13C, fully exploiting the CSP extended physics.

      As a result I think I have a good idea as to the qualities of each sims FFB how they work with different wheels and what settings do what.
      If AC misses the mark on stuffer cars why do multiple people I know that own race cars and are fast drivers like it over every other sims ? And why would max verstappen like it the most for F1 and GT ?
      I personally don't run any effects on the wheel with any sim , unless I use the acuforce wheel but that's because I bought that wheel specifically to test it's telemetry driven FFB and how that can affect sims specifically so I could have a better understanding of how FFB affects driving simulators.
      I think a radical SR3 is quite a stiff car , I have been around a track in one and both AC and RF2 did quite a good job.

      As for Max... well, he is "scarred" by rF2 so he could be in the hands of a master torturer that probably he would do his best to avoid complimenting it.
      I know that a few years ago he stated publicly that the Marussia F1 (free/stock content in rF2) was the only "retail" F1 sim experience that felt somewhat close to the real thing.
      I will not comment on RSS and VRC's Formula 1 most recent mods as I have not tried them, but the late 1990's Endurance Pack from RSS is - within mods with clout - on the underwhelming side of the sim spectrum in my opinion.
      As an example, I have driven a Ferrari 333 done by a rF2 modding group - StormGangSimulation* - that feels 1 million times more believable.
      * one of its members and "chief physicist" is a mechanical engineer working for a major manufacturer... and precisely on their rFPro simulators.
      But again, I agree with you: a racing simulation which does not gives you a "seat in the pants" feel is worthless in my eyes:
      I want the illusion of driving a race car and AC also delivers that - albeit, in my opinion, at a lesser level than rF2.
      In a nutshell, I am not keen on "Racing Engineer Simulators"...
      It's obviously good if that is also in place, but it's secondary, as the driver may give his input, but surely is not involved in fine tuning a car's ECU, the brake mapping, etc...

      Hate to brake it to you but not getting vital information for how the car is moving at the limit and where the limit of grip is in high detail is also totally unrealistic, as you can feel all these things in a real car easily.
      So if you want a dead FFB wheel that's "realistic" great enjoy your first person remote control car driving.
      No dynamic range for the limit when playing a sim is literally less realistic than having that in some abstract way.

      I do have to agree with bald man here.. ACC does that classic mistake of "let's take out all the fundamental frequencies" - sure it's a good sound and it's crisp and detailed and... Well it's lacking bass. It's just lacking bass. So many sims are lacking the rumble. No idea why.

      No I specified exactly what the issue is because talking about what I like subjectively is pointless for viewers.
      1) you can better hear aspects of sound that are pertinent to driving the car better in , iracing , this car in AC and other cars in other sims compared to lots of cars in ACC , RPM, tire noises , road scrub ect
      2) Aspects of ACCs audio can sound repetitive and looped and as a result quite greating if you drive for a long time , this is an issue with lots of sims
      3) Some cars in ACC the sounds are loud / overly compressed sounding with a lack of lower frequencies , the sterio depth also sounds somewhat off which again can be really greating over time , AMS2 also has this issue with lots of cars.
      4) the sound in ACC is superficially very loud and impressive as the cars don't sound "bad" but the sounds ironically like the FFB lack the dynamic range that you find in other sims that for sure don't sound as exciting or "raw" for example iracing.
      5) lots of mod cars and cars for AC also have this overbearing sound quality to them and cars in other sims.
      6) I don't think ACC sound is "bad" it's just massively overated , as were some mods back for RF1 and AC largely due to how loud they are. I most appreciate car sounds that are "in tune" have realistic spacial depth and help paint detail for the physics of a sim.
      Some cars in real life also sound hurendus if you are around them for a while , but also a helmet which you would always be wearing in some cars dramatically changes the tone of sound the driver actually experiences.
      Also if you play a sim on speakers VS headphones can have a big effect, I use senhiser 599s as they are quite neutral headphones for most things (not the best headphones for classical music or vocals or if you were doing pure studio work, but very good for all round listening) to

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  Рік тому

      Maybe I'm talking about what I'm talking about ?
      IE cars sound different when you are in them with a helmet on vs when you listen to raw cabin audio.
      Lots of cars in real life the more prominent aspect of the engine is the seat vibrating , not the specific engine note , even if you can hear a car very clearly.
      A helmet also massively changes the spatial nature of the sound and the tone.
