I actually think bartables are more harder to play than full size since more cluster solving.
They definitely are. I grew up playing on a 7 foot bar table at my house and it's rare that I can ever run a rack. It takes so much knowledgeable cue ball control to break up those clusters and get a decent shot. 🤦🏾♂️

At 36:00 they break last game and it took 20 minutes to play it out. Almost 10 minutes for first 2 safties,,which they nudged the cue ball a millimeter. I would rather watch grass grow!!! Shot clock is needed in all events IMO.

I think they should keep the shot clock for off for some tournaments, players perform way better without the added pressure, and they can come up with much better shots. Yeah, it can be boring to watch, but the players enjoy these way more. They have no shot clocks in snooker, and some of the shots players come up with are nuts! That, and the vibe is much more relaxed, where players have the ability to perform better

20:43 can someone please help me out? What are the announcers saying about the cue ball as to why it was cleaned. Are they saying the cue ball would get skeed or ski the cue ball if it's dirty? What happens if it's dirty?

They are saying ‘skid’. In snooker they call it a ‘kick’. It’s when chalk (or ‘dirt’ or something) on the cueball or on the cloth makes the ball jump and go off line - or causes a bad contact on the object ball. It usually results in a missed shot or bad position on the next shot. A little bit of chalk on the cueball, on the rail or on the cloth can affect the way the ball rolls by quite a bit.

I don't think I've ever seen a bar table with a cloth on it that made plays as fast, or smooth as such. Nor do I think I've ever seen a table as clean as that table. (It's alright, I understand it's a tournament. They get to have the good stuff to play on/with.)
I have. When my local bar re-clothed their tables they looked almost this good. For about an hour.
I miss machine gun Butera, Strickland and Reyes . Playing fast and loose.

You have to call the ball and the pocket you want to pot it in. No ‘slop rules’. In other words, no flukes allowed. He didn’t call it, so he loses his turn.
This isn't APA where your ball falls you shoot you have to call the ball to the pocket.

The quality of players and video coverage are great, but the announcers are egotists in talking constantly like this is all about them, and they are dumb in having their mouths so close to the microphone. We hear every noise they make whether they talk or not...their voices are amplified like three times as loud as the sound of the players and billiard balls being hit. Let's be more professional than this.

I honestly wish that when players reach this level they would dress up a bit more than some silly cap and t-shirt.
this is the reason pool has never taken off over the years with younger players...its a game played in bars and pool halls, no one is trying to wear a tuxedo, the sponsor style shirts look silly as hell too. any kind of jeans/slacks and a clean shirt will do
Sure, THAT'S the reason 🙄 No, there's plenty of younger players getting into it. The real issue is because it's incredibly difficult to do so. Individual sports are extremely competitive and just playing well isn't enough, you have to win and do so regularly to ever become known in pool.
Then there's all associated costs, the fact that elite players can play for decades, and the relatively low pay all make it nearly all but impossible for the top end of the top 1% of players to ever break out.
With that said, while I believe the old vest and bowtie look was silly and thankfully now a relic of a bygone era, Shane's competitor does look a bit absurd especially with that ridiculous hat.
