I am a fellow amatuer mycologists.❤ stumbled across your video. Commenting to help engagement. I'm nuerospicy and hyperfocus on learning about specific topics get bored and move on. I became obsessive about learning about fungi after I realized a specific species only grew under the beech trees on my street. That was the day I learned about mycorhizzal relationships. Which sent me down the rabbit hole and attempting to identify and find every mushroom 😅 Then learn everything I can about them. Six years later, I still haven't grown bored and moved on like I normally would.
I've only found a couple of these beauties so far but it's been a banner year for Amanitas here in WI so I'll be looking this weekend. Thanks for highlighting a beauty that isn't mentioned enough! Still waiting for your book too... 🍄

It's been really dry and hot here in Western PA. Finally got some rain last night.
