This was the album the world needed when it was released. The album dropped 9/11/01. Probably the only artist to “benefit” from 9/11. And well deserved. Great religious band with amazing messages. Lead single “Alive” followed by “Youth of the Nation”. Great messages for the worst moment in modern US history.
couldn't agree more with u
I'm not so sure they were the only ones. I remember back then the song "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias was playing all the time and everywhere. They really milked that one.
Unfortunately that's is no longer the worst moment von modern US history, or world history. RESIST TYRANTS
Originally was to be released August 28th 2001.
Omar I love P O D
So underrated because of the religous tag on them
To be fair they were like the only Christian band to ever make it on the top five TRL songs
Super group!!
Yeah I agree. They have lot's of success but as far as being "big time" they never quite cut it like you said as they are a christian rock band more or less. I'm not religious by any stretch but these dudes just spit straight facts.
Skillet is that way
Love both reactions to P.O.D you should definitely do more of their music.
POD - Execute The Sounds & Goodbye For Now(feat. Katy Perry)
Thinking About Forever on Satellite and Set Your Eyes To Zion on The Fundamental Elements of Southtown; some of the slower deeper lyrical jams. More tidbits about the band; have deep Latin and reggae influence along with the rap/rock. Can really here the Latin influence in the guitar solo on this song.
I saw them live in Vancouver, they came out and hung out with us after the show: not something most bands would do.
Sleeping Awake is an amazing song by them which they made for one of The Matrix movie soundtracks👌 It has a music video as well
Thanks for react this👍
You need to react to “change the world” by P.O.D. They filmed it literally all over the world. Maybe their greatest video!
Muito top, P.O.D, Papa Roach, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, RATM, SOAD.....saudades dos anos 2000....
This song was about a young man's life flashing before his eyes as he faced death, and finally seeing God in his life throughout it. Gaining a full appreciation for the love and time he has in his life and everything he has. It's just as powerful now as it was when it came out. 10/10 song and the music video has incredible special effects.
You can notice all that energy on Sony Sandoval's body 😍👍 amazing video, amazing lyric, powerful voice...
Thank you so much 😄
i wish i was 15 again
react to P.O.D - Roots in stereo.
Pod more interesting song
-boom
-sleeping awake (ost matrix)
This guy has a tremendous personality
Loved your reaction to this and appreciate your positive vibes as well. This reminds me of the way I felt when I first discovered P.O.D. and I just kept digging deeper and deeper. Definitely among my favorite bands if not my number 1 favorite. Them and Linkin Park really helped me alot in my teen years to present. The content and who they are as people have greatly inspired me and have helped to provide a good foundation and balance when dealing with the struggles of life. Also because of they're eclectic versatility its brought me to so many other dope artists from countless other genres as well. My first intro to them was the song and video Goodbye for Now feat. a then unknown Katy Perry on MTVs TRL. What also intrigued me was their appearance and the fact that the video was number 1. The year was 2006 and I've been a fan ever since and have become good friends with them. Would be cool to see you react to Goodbye for Now(track and music video) but either way I look forward to more reactions from you. 👊🏽
From the perspective of a survivor of a near death experience! Listen to it again.... 💯 1love
Check out 'POD - Listening for the Silence' off a more recent album. It's different from Alive and Youth of the Nation. Certainly a "back in form" song!!
Loved this reaction 😊❤️
Later on I realised this song is about God giving one more chance to live I feel so alive.....
POD song Beautiful
I love this song!!
: I loooove P.O.D
glad I grew up listening to them & many other bands. flyleaf, disturbed, korn, SOAD, etc.
Nu-Metal era goodness !! Loved these guys back in the day! 🌟
Great reaction! I feel alive after this one ☝️
P.O.D. are amazing
This was hard to find...I think because of the powerful message!! Great timeless song!!
Regarding P.o.D.:
I think you'd like some of their stuff on their previous record.
For a hardcore song go for "Southtown", it's about growing up in Southtown, a borough in San Diego.
For a more chill song go for "Set your Eyes to Zion", this one is really reggae-esque and shows you how diverse a single band can be.
To me, P.o.D. stand out for combining many different styles in their music yet keeping their original sound and spreading positive messages, regardless of popularity. I personally don't follow their music after 2016, but man I enjoy all their albums from their first 20 years as a band, not many bands can testify to making solid music for this long.
I'm a fanboy, obviously, so my opinion is biased, yet I'm confident you will enjoy more of their music.
I would like to recommend Chevelle(the clincher or panic prone), Within Temptation(Forgiven, Memories, Dangerous Mind, Our Farewell, See Who I am, maybe even Ice Queen)
One of my favourite bands and albums growing up. You should check out their BOOM! and Change the World music videos. ✌️
Bro
..try to listen to POD - Satellite .
Peace out
Bro check southtown before the satellite album, a great album and for me it's the best album by them, the fundamental elements of the southtown, enjoy
Love these vids, add some background music to the vlogs 👍🏻
Cool beans bro! Satalite was actually more popular and a good follow up. Remember to put Voodoo by Godsmack on your list of to dos. It's about being a junky and not wanting to
When I listen to Christian songs or any religious songs may it be rock or anything I find myself cringing. I don't know why. I don't want to and kinda hate myself for it. But this song, Eventhough I think it's religious I find myself singing along with it. One of the reasons why I love this song
🇧🇷😍🙏
P.o.d roots in stereo
Great bro...many more P.O.D. dude...such as Sleeping Awake, Goodbye for now(ft. Katy perry), Change the world, Will you
React P. O. D - listening for silence
Where you from man? I get the feeling you're not in the states.
you're 100% right amigo. I'm originally from the middle east (oman). Mother is Scottish, dad is Arabic. I grew up on American TV and I've been living in Scotland for around 10 years, hence the complete mess of an accent I have :p
Scotch whisky 👌
I always thought you would speak spanish!
Man check out POD BOOM if you want something to pump you up
give me 3 more POD songs to check out, I'll get em done this coming week!
This is a spiritual song. For anyone who doesn't know. When he says "I trust in Love" God is love:
1 John 4:8
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
He says that now that he sees God and knows God, he can never turn his back away, even though it might cost him everything. The Bible tells us that the world will hate us for choosing Him.
With All Love and Respect, He looks like a Indian Jeremy Renner from Avengers. Lol #GenX
dude, I will 100% take that. I'm not indian though hahahah.
@@OmarOmarOmar My Bad Bro, But the Resemblance is Crazy Close. Lol
