This....for me has been so comforting......I have alopecia......no body hair at all. I was so devastated.......not wanting to let myself be seen even to some makeup artists wanting to help. I found this tutorial while searching how to make head bonnets. So glad I did. You make it look really easy......I know I will have to practice, at least I now know what supplies I can get. I have had trichotillomania for 25 years now... I have gone through many years pulling out all my eyelashes and hair on my head. I was completely bald and no eyelashes. What i found worked easiest for me was just using a black eyeliner pencil. Liquid eyeliner was too hard to follow the ridge where my lashes use to be without getting the liquid liner in my eyes. The liquid liner would really irritate my eyes to where they watered all the time. I tried fake lashes and i got the glue on my eyeball and holy shit did that burn! So black eyeliner pencil worked the best for me. This is a great tutorial and thank you so much for sharing your techniques
I know! We learn by doing, right? I have had pencils that ended up smudging my contacts. The wet n' wild eyeliner, ( the NOT waterproof one) I still use 3 years later! If it goes in my eyes, it'll "bleed out" and I clean it up w a q-tip. There's also those days when my motor skills apparently are off and drawing a lovely line is impossible, then I just slab it on, clean it up and shape it w a q-tip :)
Just found your channel. I have used the exact same things as you for the 8 years .hearing and seeing you do the same routine and listening to you talking about how tough this is brought a tear to my eye. It's so true , you wake up every morning and you're not there in the mirror. Every morning, the same routine, the same mirror, the other person in the mirror. It's like I've lost who I thought I was, almost like mourning. Although 8 years have passed, it fresh every morning. Thank you so much for your beautiful video, explanation for those who will hopefully never experience this and mostly for your beautiful soul🙏

Afterwards i've noticed my eyelashes hurt. When i touched them they were already gone. All of them in about 2 hours dissapeared. So strange!

My eyes are also super set so eye makeup is hard for me but that looks really good. I can’t deal with false lashes. Thank u!

I'm happy this video helps. It's like ancient now, production wise, lol! But the message is still there. 5 years in of not having eyelashes and I love it! Eyes open up more and honestly, everyone is surprised when I tell them I don't have lashes. They can't tell. Goes to show how little other people notice about us, and how we put way too much worry and emphasis on such things. And I get way more compliments on my eyes than ever before, because they are not hiding under crazy fake lashes :)

Ah, I'm so happy this is helping you! I'm so sorry that you are being bullied about this. It's usually because people don't understand. Could you somehow do a classproject or talk to someone who could help you to educate the others, perhaps....? Just a thought :)
DanceWith Mia I think so cause people say shitty things or are mean, usually cause they don't understand something. Or, it triggers something within them. Also, when you take control and speak about it, you take away their "power" to gossip or comment. Let me know how it goes if you decide to do a project :)
awesome tutorial! I dont have any eyebrows or eyelashes either due to alopecia, and its always good to find new tips and ways to do makeup to make yourself look "normal". I used to use the waterproof pencils but I wear contacts so it would stick to my contacts and ruin them so I had to try liquid eyeliner which i used to hate but now love, the best one I have found is the Revlon Colorstay and it is awesome and easy to use because it has a harder tip then the brush ones do. So if maybe someone else has the same problem with pencil liner i highly recommend the colorstay!
Same problem here with contacts. LIquid is great! I"m also now committed to using makeup not tested on animals, and unfortunately Revlon and Maybelline both test. Which sucks, cause I have a couple of favorite products from both those brands.
Lost all my eyelashes 2 an eye infection & caused by meibomian gland dysfunction & ur so right, deviation is the word I use 2 describe the loss. Other than lookin totally bizarre without lashes, u don't realize how important they really R until they're gone. I feel like I'm on the verge of sneezin all the time & the sensation if havin a flashlight shinin directly N each eye, then there's always somethin gettin N them cuz they have zero protection against wind, water, sun etc. I'm miserable as it is but I can't imagine losin my eyebrows &/or any other head hair(except mayB my mustache)

I have my brows semi permanent tattooed as well and it was the best thing ever! I am fortunate enough to have full lashes, which I'm soo thankful for because liner is impossible for me, lol. I can't even imagine trying to do something like false lashes! My Brow tattooes have faded as well but I'm going for a touch up this Summer. Can't wait! :) Are you planning to get yours redone or do you recommend the whole procedure? xo Rachel
I'm grateful for my semi permanent tattoos but they do fade rather quickly so I always end up filling them in. Microblading really doesn't seem to take on me But again, I'm due for my follow up on that. I still prefer having them to frame my face than not there at all. Make sure you go to someone who will do them ON your browbone! I have seen some done above it, and that just isn't natural to the person. It needs to follow your natural shape.
This is cute, exactly what I do, and then people want to sell me fancy mascara; it works really well to do some camuflage. ;) Thank you for sharing. The eyeliner stroke works easy when you do it in a diagonal and just fill in the inside of the lid.

awesome tutorial! I dont have any eyebrows or eyelashes either due to alopecia, and its always good to find new tips and ways to do makeup to make yourself look "normal". I used to use the waterproof pencils but I wear contacts so it would stick to my contacts and ruin them so I had to try liquid eyeliner which i used to hate but now love, the best one I have found is the Revlon Colorstay and it is awesome and easy to use because it has a harder tip then the brush ones do. So if maybe someone else has the same problem with pencil liner i highly recommend the colorstay!

Same problem here with contacts. LIquid is great! I"m also now committed to using makeup not tested on animals, and unfortunately Revlon and Maybelline both test. Which sucks, cause I have a couple of favorite products from both those brands.

Lost all my eyelashes 2 an eye infection & caused by meibomian gland dysfunction & ur so right, deviation is the word I use 2 describe the loss. Other than lookin totally bizarre without lashes, u don't realize how important they really R until they're gone. I feel like I'm on the verge of sneezin all the time & the sensation if havin a flashlight shinin directly N each eye, then there's always somethin gettin N them cuz they have zero protection against wind, water, sun etc. I'm miserable as it is but I can't imagine losin my eyebrows &/or any other head hair(except mayB my mustache)

I have my brows semi permanent tattooed as well and it was the best thing ever! I am fortunate enough to have full lashes, which I'm soo thankful for because liner is impossible for me, lol. I can't even imagine trying to do something like false lashes! My Brow tattooes have faded as well but I'm going for a touch up this Summer. Can't wait! :) Are you planning to get yours redone or do you recommend the whole procedure? xo Rachel
I'm grateful for my semi permanent tattoos but they do fade rather quickly so I always end up filling them in. Microblading really doesn't seem to take on me But again, I'm due for my follow up on that. I still prefer having them to frame my face than not there at all. Make sure you go to someone who will do them ON your browbone! I have seen some done above it, and that just isn't natural to the person. It needs to follow your natural shape.
This is cute, exactly what I do, and then people want to sell me fancy mascara; it works really well to do some camuflage. ;) Thank you for sharing. The eyeliner stroke works easy when you do it in a diagonal and just fill in the inside of the lid.
