More than likely the 13 GT500 will squeak out a 11.4. It has already run 11.5s at trap speeds over 126-127mph. In cool air with a good DA the car will probably run some 11.40s @ 128-130mph in stock form.

The only way it can be true is if they mean 9k on top of the cost of the car. I've seen dodge hellcats with bolt ons run 9s easily. I have a 2015 ZL1 and I highly doubt with 9k I can get into the 9s, maybe mid 10s.

The reason for the lower trap speed is the fact that the zr1 is an automatic. Also a hard launch will lower your mph because your accelerating alot faster and reaching the ending destination alot faster. These mods bring the zl1 to about 670 680 flywhee hp, so its about even between the two. I'm wanting to see somebody that's really good get behind the wheel of a six speed and see what numbers they can crank out.
gt500 makes 662 hp at the motor an runs an 11.6.....this zl1 after the parts made 675 hp at the motor an ran 11.4..so i dont get how all you ford fans are crying an saying its slow??????
@@captainohsowavy Yes 120HP increase from my baseline on 92 octane. This was done on a stingy Mustang dyno and had conservative spark. I know the engine can do much better.

The GT500 doesn't actually need any performance options to beat the shit out of the ZL1 any time, any place....you do know that, right? GT500 can run 9's @ 140+ on the stock engine/trans. That livernois package consists of a beefy cam, aftermarket ported heads, entire fuel system upgrade and a whole host of other bullshit that the GT500 doesn't need to see 9's. GT500 just needs the usual shit: Pulley, intake, tune, exhaust, traction, E-85, and a driver that ain't afraid of the damn thing.

My point is the gt500 is greater than all the above by far...the trap this car is getting for a zl1 PLUS the LMR package = big cash to not go nearly as fast as the gt500 or even my neon lmaoo. I know this much I would keep my neon over spending a small fortune on the zl1 + the LMR package just to go slower...Or go with the best option a just get a gt500 and be done.

The fastest bone stock 2013 GT500 on stock tires has run 11.2 at 127MPH. This ZL1 still falls short its just way too heavy..
No stock ZL1 runs 11.6's....
