Hi bud, love this and am going to do it because of your video, however the lights are unavailable would you recommend an alternative? Thanks in advance!
Hi there thanks for letting me know will get that changed over I'd go for any on there that are the same set up as these I'd stay away from the extremely cheap ones as the quality won't be the same hope that helps 😊
@@The_journeyy wich mods did you? I did change my headlights, radio, metal pedals, exhaust tip, and next mod to do is this mod from your video, hopefully it will looks good as on this vid. I only have one question how did you get the wire trough the door panel?
There's so many to list mate I've made videos on pretty much most of them on the channel the full how to video for that ambient lighting shows how I did that he is the link ua-cam.com/video/vszjoGkST14/v-deo.html Also congrats on the mods so far they sound good 😊
This is a cool video, thanks for the informative how-to. Can you cut the fiber optic cables to length? Or do you have to leave it intact for the light to work?
Hi Bradley thank you bro 🙏 yeah the fibre comes as one whole roll but you cut it out to size for the trims of your car nice clean cuts using a Stanley is what I did
Getting into a Golf mk8 R ruined it for me. So many things that it had I wish my polo had too. It's got some things that it didn't originally have (automatic headlights, reverse camera in the boot handle, footwell lighting) but there's so much more I want. Might do this next, thanks for the video!
Where the strip not can’t in a groove in the Dashboard, and the corner of the light switch and under and behind the steeringwheel thats where you use the gorilla tape , I think ? Because are soms places where the strip can’t be in a groove
Hey bro, I see you installed those chrome things on your wheel, what is the leathery thing you have also installed. Is it somekind of seering wheel cover?
I've got the bluemotion polo and it comes with the leather steering wheel it gets very cold in the winter, you can probably get some cover that's like it I'm actually looking to wrap the steering wheel at some point with alcantera I've seen a few good videos of people installing the wheelfinese covers they do so many combos 😊
There's a full version which shows how I did it step by step ua-cam.com/video/vszjoGkST14/v-deo.html But basically I removed the door panel and then I fed the light sauce in through a hole on the door panel and then attached the fibre onto the light source
The power cable comes with the leds but if you don't want to power them through the cigarette lighter then you can hardwire them using a fuse adapter in this video from 0.53 seconds its a more detailed step by step video showing the whole process of wiring it which is the same process for the ambients ua-cam.com/video/Qze48ou2PTI/v-deo.html
It's actually not too bad to install at all I literally did mine in the middle of a park and ride car park 🙃 would be more ideal to install on a driveway and not in the middle of a car park 🤣
@@The_journeyy certainly! Muy vents keep angling down, so I wasn't sure if that works. One more question, how did you pop the light rope through the door? Did you drill a hole?
So do mine I got over that issue by putting the clip on the bottom row so it doesn't angle down The fibre can be pushed into the door gaps. Underneath the arm rest area I drilled a small hole so that the fibre could disappear out of view into there and be connected to the light source behind the door
I'm not sure exactly what your asking bro so not sure how to answer have a look at this video which is a full indepth version of the ambient light install hope that helps ua-cam.com/video/vszjoGkST14/v-deo.html
Hi here is the proper how to video on the lights ua-cam.com/video/vszjoGkST14/v-deo.html basically I removed the door wiring loom away from the car and then fed the wire through the gap for the wiring loom and then connected the light emitter wire onto the door itself and then the door card

Finally car manufacturers realize what PC component manufacturers realized a long time ago. RGB lighting goes a long way.

Hey man, have you tried to add the virtual cockpit to this model? along with discover pro multimedia?
No I've not tried that sounds cool
It looks very good 👍 👌
Thank you 👏

For mine it was necessary for your car it might be different
I want exactly this for my car. Where do install this around Randburg 😢
you can get the lights on Ebay installation is pretty quick
Where the strip not can’t in a groove in the Dashboard, and the corner of the light switch and under and behind the steeringwheel thats where you use the gorilla tape , I think ? Because are soms places where the strip can’t be in a groove
Yeah in places where the strip is not in the grooves it's held up by clear double sided gorilla tape
well done
Thank you mate 😊
Nice job
Thank you Udit 👏
Hey bro, I see you installed those chrome things on your wheel, what is the leathery thing you have also installed. Is it somekind of seering wheel cover?
Hey Cosmo, I'm guessing when your talking about the leathery thing your talking about the shiney bit that goes all around the wheel?
@@The_journeyy Yeah that's the one, wondering where I could get a similar thing?

Hi mate

How did you got the light trough into the doors

But basically I removed the door panel and then I fed the light sauce in through a hole on the door panel and then attached the fibre onto the light source
Do they turn on automatically?
Yeah they come on when you turn the car on but can also be set to be turned off as well 😊
Hi man, the link is out of stock, any other solution??? Pleaseee
Hi Fili, What link is it for the ambient lights used in this video?
god job
Thank you
Where did you get the power from

Yes its multicolour you have multiple colours you can choose
I got the same lights for my Golf 6 and It looks so hard to install 🤣
It's actually not too bad to install at all I literally did mine in the middle of a park and ride car park 🙃 would be more ideal to install on a driveway and not in the middle of a car park 🤣
Does it drain the car battery
No
How much to install this light
I've got no idea I installed my own so I didn't pay for it all the parts I used are in the description hope that helps 😊
